ESPN FF draft 10 team league.

QBs Dak( really hate this man yet ended up with him yet again lol) took a flier on Trey Lance late hoping he explodes this year.

RBs- Henry(got him with the 9th pick), Etienne( PPR hoping he find success), Mitchell(SF), CEH(KC), Patterson(ATL again banking on his PPR value here)

WRs- Adams(made Carr was selected right before my next pick lol), Tee Higgins, Ceedee Lamb(not the double points I wanted lol), Michael Thomas, Pickens, Valdes-Scantling

TE- Geodart

K- Raiders

Def- EAGLES!!!!!

Hmmmm.  Most of the Talking heads are picking the Eagles to win the NFC EAST. While I am excited about the possibility, I am still one not sold on Hurts. So, Joemas, BG, Cunningham, eagles123, Stine, BG93, mjk, others here….what am I missing? I think the team I absolutely detest is still actually a better TEAM. I DO NOT think Prescott is very good (I was excited to see Jones offer that BIG contract for him). Maybe the first place schedule….three tougher games….makes the difference. I know there are some Wentz haters/doubters here but I actually think they could be a serious contender for the division with him. All said, the division is better but still not good. That makes any injury or loss for any division team magnified most likely.

I like the Eagles’ roster; additions of AJ Brown and Bradberry will help. But if the QB is a modified RB that throws short passes all game, that makes playing defense a bit easier, doesn’t it? The coaches better scheme up some great places with Hurts’ limited skillset. I certainly could be wrong.

This is exactly what we couldn’t do last year as a D. Killed us! Sat back and let good QBs pick us apart underneath up and down the field on these long time consuming drives. Couldn’t really stop the run very well either.

Now Hurts wasn’t anywhere near Captain Checkdown. Think most think he needs to utilize that option more often. Add in some short timing pattern throws to his game would be great also. Quick slants. This is all adding to his repertoire in my mind. So I love it!

As both Joe and GB stated Hurts is a key. Keep in mind that also plays for Dallas. They NEED to keep Dak upright! That O-Line is a shambles. Just lose their LT and you have Peters playing! Any DE will have a field day against him. So Dallas has 4 players to share the Ball: Elliott, Pollard, Shultz and Lamb. after that there is little else. How do they run the ball without a O-Line? So teams will double team Lamb and put a DB on Shultz. What is left? Dallas has a problem. Dak will have to hold onto the ball longer to wait for players to get open. Hurts at least has protection. He has multitude of options at WR, TE and RB. He is also more mobile than Dak (not allot, but better)

We will see soon enough where we stand though. Both the Eagles and Dallas should show us allot.

Gallup is an OK WR also. Hurt now,not sure how far back he is. We should have NP covering him. I would love to hit Dak early and often(I say that every game but this year we can actually DO it)

I liked Perrine, apparently they like Brooks better for the PS role. I'm glad we have 4 RB's on the 53 though. I'm hoping we have humongous leads so we can acclimate our young kids in 4th 1/4 garbage time. Practice is great, but nothing will get you up to speed like in game snaps

I have the birds D in 3/4 leagues also. I got them with the last or next to last pick. Scanning the rankingsd(on CBS) they are ranked 3rd best. I think that could be high, but still as a last minute D they could be a steal. Henry at 9 is the steal of the draft(if he can stay upright). Trey could make some noise,he can't hardly be worse than last year and you can change him out if he's awful again, but I'd take a flier on him too

Again, I am in your corner. I hope Hurts lights it up!  I have him on my FF team too. Another reason I am hoping he succeeds....

Were we watching the same games? But you are right he was 1 read and run and how he got what 800 yards on the ground? Now Howie invested in passing weapons and he wants Hurts to PASS THE BALL(remember him last year saying this?). Hurts as a FF QB is a great choice, he can rack up ground yards as well as anyone, but we need to see his passing upgraded

I can agree on this point that he needs to get the ball OUT. He can't hold it for 5 seconds like last year. if he is indecisive and inaccurate,Howie will see that in a instant. Noboby will make any decisions game 1,but Hurts needs to show he has grown as a passer. I believe it all hinges on that. Hurts is nice because he CAN run and D's still need to cover that. I want to see if the D's figured out to force Hurts to the left, that's where he has the hardest time releasing

BTW Sanders needs to up his game bigly or he will be gone too.Zero TD's for what we pay him is NOT going to work. Will be interesting to see if they work Sermon in early or wait some. Gainwell could be a huge FF snag is we see he is getting the ball alot(especially in PPR leagues) Not worried about the running game per se,but I have to say Sanders job is on the line like Hurts is

For me it's cautious optimism that Hurts has made a marked improvement as a passer.

NFL dot Com has NO listed ahead of the Eagles in its power Rankings. I just don't see it. Our defense is every bit as good as theirs. Our Offense is better in every area but RB...

Thomas, Olave and Landry is a really great WR room. Kamara is a monster! Forget whom their TE is.

This is just tough to say. Thomas hasn’t really played in 2 years he was great will he be the same guy after two years not playing???? Olave is a rookie should be alright. Landry over the hill not a terrible 3rd option but not a great one anymore either.

Kamara great when he is on the field but misses time with injuries to often and isn’t he facing suspension again????

The real issue for the Saints though is a lack luster HC and unimpressive QB in Winston. Just nothing points to this team being good

Not as good as ours. I would take AJ Brown over Thomas mainly because he has not played in 2 years. Olave and landry is not as good as Watkins and Smith either. As BG pointed out. Kamara is out with injuries often and also has suspension looming....

Idk what happened... I never did that double TE before. It's great for the position,  but it pretty much means I have to play both every week.  Didn't turn out great, but we all know things change with the waiver wire and injuries...lol.

Winston is a better passer.  Pure passing. He completes passes to everyone doesn't matter the uniform color.

Isn't the QB jack of all trades guy playing TE for them now???    They also have Trautman

Neither is any good. You want them or Goedert?

I prefer Goedert... I like the all around TEs.

So other than RB we have advantage, right? Defense is even, we are better at O-Line, TE and WR. QB is a toss up.

Coaching is a mystery also. Not enough has been brought up about that IMO

Right... the X factor is QB.  It's been my point for what 6 months at least?

WR I wouldn't automatically give us the advantage either.  Unknowns down there, at his best I like Thomas... Olave we don't know just yet.

Thomas is 29 and has not played in 2 years. I will take brown over him. I also will take Smith over either of the other two. Watkins is as good as Landry at this point in his career.
