Eagles at some point will be in spots where they can’t lean on the run and have to pass how will the team do when those situations arise your guess is as good as mine.

I’d say the thinking would be that our dominating rushing attack should open up the passing game. But clearly Detroit has issues against the run…just like we do. You’d be a fool if you stopped running the ball against Detroit yesterday. How many yards did we rush for? It was a ton…..four different players scored rushing also. It’s not like we didn’t throw the ball either. Our O put up a ton of yards behind QB1 yesterday.

I thought you said the defense carried the day??? How often can you continue to be wrong and ignore it?

I said that clearly sarcastically responding to your comment about the pick six was why we won. Giving up 35 points CLEARLY wasn’t the reason. We won. Sorry I have to explain all this to you everything…all the time.

You don't get it or understand what the results of your actions would have done,so I will let you continue to wallow in your mire of patting yourself on the back and having the lowest possible bars set for this team while making excuses for only the players you like. I keep telling you to call Novacare because they certainly need your expertise. You are wasting your talent on this board

Before we traded with the Saints….how many first round picks did we have?

IDK IMO that is wrong. We saw the RPO college offense last year and we didn't do much until Siri STOPPED it. Now yesterday the first series was back to the college offense(from what I am hearing) and ONCE AGAIN that failed. Both Siri and Hurts need to graduate to the NFL and stop trying to interject college offenses into pro teams. You can use it at times as a change of pace play but we all know the RPO college offense should remain in college

RPOs are being run all throughout Pro football. Pay attention

Why is that? I’ll take it as sarcastic.

Whelp…last two years of paying him all that money has been a waste.

I still don't really know why they brought him back. Not on the contract he came back on.

Before we traded with the Saints how many AJ Browns did we have? You don't think the Brown trade wasn't discussed before we made the Saints trade??? Please tell me you are smarter than this

LMAO if you look most are play action-pay attention and stop confusing the 2

https://www.viqtorysports.com/play-action-rpo-read-option/

Now the Eagles run the RPO probably better than most. They need to turn up the play action and cut down the RPO's(IMO) because the offense we got in here is better suited to play action than RPO(and please note I said IN MY OPINION)

We ran several playaction passes yesterday.

DUH,so list your 3 round 1 picks you wanted, then remove AJ from the Roster and give back a round 1 next year. I'll wait for your 3

http://www.mynfldraft.com/2022-nfl-draft/2022-results/round1/   Here is round 1(after trades)  . And you don think the Brown deal was set before we traded with the Saints at 11? So now your boy Hurts buddy is suddenly not worth Olave and a 1 pick in 2024? Interesting. Yeah AJ needs cut to save the salary cap. But yeah lets go all out for the #31 pick.Well,I will say it again, you need to head to Novacare and tell them how to do this right 🤣

Hawks have a nice pass rush so far. They are creating problems for Wilson

Russel Wilson is arguably the best deep ball thrower in todays game. But he even under threw that TD to Jeudy. Think fans have this unreasonable expectation for their QB1 because they hyperanalyze their own guys so much more. Sometimes you need to step back a bit and see the bigger picture.

Barkley played really well vs Tenn. He looked like he was back to his old form again and IMO he is better than Swift,so we need to be ready for him when we play them. Gannon has some tweaking to do. The O will get better. If not for the pick 6 we would have lost. I was a bit shocked the D got pummeled like they did and gave up 35. Bottom line- Detroits 1/2 time adjustments were better than Siri's. Glad we could hang on for the W

Hold on here. Im going to politely disagree GBNC. I understand basic math, but a LOT of other decisions would have come into play withOUT the pick 6.

We need to relax. We were not the only team that did not play well due to lack of PS snaps. Andy Reid always gets his team in shape and that showed yesterday. They were burning on all cylinders. Green Bay looked bad. So did SF, Tenn, Indy and the Rams all played poorly and mostly due to lack of snaps in the PS. Also, we were dead tired in the 3rd quarter. The whole team was out of shape. You had to notice they played well after that first drive into the third quarter..... One thing Ham was correct on is that the play calling attributed to hurts running. RPO has to go!  We need designed run plays. We have to design plays to get Smith and Goedert more involved. That is not on hurts, but the coaching staff.

Look, it was week 1. We need to work out some stuff on both sides of the ball. I refuse to make rash judgments based on week one and so should everyone else. I knew this board was going to complain for the most part as soon as I saw a designed run for Hurts on the first play of the game! What does that call do for Hurts Mindset? What is wrong with Siri? Why call that play?

On the defense, they were just out of gas midway thru the 3rd and it showed. There were some good plays I saw from a few players. Epps, Edwards, White and a couple others made some plays. The tackling was terrible! Play Calling was terrible. But we won in spite of that. This was why I was concerned about this game. It does not matter how good the other team is. You still need to execute. Hutchinson is a solid player! Anyway, I am done now. Go ahead and say what you want, but bottom line is we need to watch the film and make adjustments for Minn. We need to practice tackling. We need to figure out a way to stop Jefferson. We need to figure out a way to apply pressure on Cousins....

Or I see an old fashioned butt whooping coming...

It could happen. Vikes are good!

Out of gas? Have you personally attended an NFL game? With all of the TV timeouts, the players stand around a LOT. AND THE DEFENSE WAS BARELY on the field for most of the first half. If they were out of gas, they need to RUN…..AND A LOT! Haha.

This won’t happen not with Hurts at QB at least… Siri and Steichen specifically added and learned about RPOs to help Hurts play to his strengths.

I agree. What you saw week one is what their offense is going to be. They didnt spend all the time at camp learning an offense they didnt run on Sunday.

Just don’t trade with the Saints….simple. Not giving back anybody. Just adding another guy right now…instead of waiting a year for really no reason.

Why would I give back AJ or Davis? Three first round picks. Davis wasn’t my top guy. But just trade back with the third first rounder and take a S or Pass rusher. Dax snd Karlaftis I was high on. Jermaine Jones was there also. But the other factor is we don’t enable the Saints to push that WR run and take Olave by trading up again. So that was possibly a double whammy bad trade there for us.

You can't make all these decisions/calls after 1 game. At least I can't do it I need to see teams through week 5 to get a grasp of what teams are really like

These were specific observations of THIS game is all. And you are correct. Making split judgments after one game is not a good idea. Just go back and re-read with the understanding they are made with this game specifically.

Davis stuffed that 3rd down run. That is when I made the sarcastic post you misread lol. They ended up scoring on 4th down, but Davis totally destroyed that 3rd down play ALONE

Don’t misinterpret this, as I think Davis MAY OR MAY NOT work out, but he made ONE play and got dominated on about 20 others…meaning he is part of the reason the Lions had some success running. Again, the Lions OLine is REALLY good. So do not think I am bagging on Davis. I am a huge Fletcher Cox fan and he got handled a LOT also.
