The NFL has to get this roughing the passer stuff straightened out

After the call last night and the one on Brady they may as well put red shirts on the QBs for games.

It's gonna become unwatchable.

Dallas has a solid D-Line that loves to rush the Passer. They do a great job of it too. We need Mailata back because we have to run the ball allot. We need to tire out that Defense. No_huddle to eliminate substitutions. Run Run run than Play action pass. On defense we need to play Man -on Man. No more of this Zone crap. We need to keep those WR's close so our D-Line can get at Rush..... This is a big game. I know it is only week 6, but it is a BIG game. Dallas has owned us the past few years. We need to believe we can beat them. Plus a win will place them back 2 games.

If anyone thinks this is just another game, they do not know football.......

Yeah this is like the OSU/Michigan game in college. Throw the records out the window because it's an all out war. I remember many times michgan had a better record and OSU kept them out of bowl games like 4 years in a row(LOL) then they did the same to us one year

The hold is all part of the process.  As the great Justin Tucker pointed out in his interview Sunday night.... when he mentioned specifically that his holder got his " first career game winning hold"   and " at that point the ball kicks itself"

Every detail matters.  I'm sure Elliot would agree it's not coincidence that he has stepped up since getting the new holder.

I believe Siposs(P) is the holder?

Refs have it tough. Tuagate put alot of pressure on them to protect QB's and they have gone off the deep end the other way. I was rooting for LV, but that was the worst roughing calls I can remember. That was a super clean sack. Now that we have hit both ends of extreme,I hope they can pull it back to the middle or as you said we may as well put flags on the QB's

Of course the Holder is important! What I am saying is the holder did not miss that 43 yard attempt. That Kicker stunk it up! Dicker did great and I am sure the holder did great also.

Both holders played well. the difference was the one kicking the ball this game. Only need eyes to see that!

I have a good feeling this week. The Line is set at 4. This is an Eagles Line, meaning the books want people to bet on Dallas. Taking 4 points seems like a good bet.

Brady ALWAYS gets these calls. Yet someone like Jackson or Hurts will never get them! One really lopsided view for QB roughing that will never be equal.

But you see the pattern.  These things matter...definition of insanity....etc.   The same story.  No where does padding stats and the score vs bad teams translate to anything vs a good team.   The other team isn't scoring from the bench. There is no habit to get into when there is a world of difference in opponents.  But managing the clock properly is something that winning teams do.

I think we’ve been fantastic closing out. Control the clock and score and put the game away. Siri has even shown some cohones…he really tries to put teams away. …how I see it.

Lol...so why every year the defense stops the running QB in a lose or go home situation?   Lose or go home is concentration and intensity in the prep work.  Much different.

Different day and age. Vick we corralled or he probably wins it all. Cam got to the SB. I think the past was full of skeptical people about playing that way. So it was frowned upon to QB like that. So I think history robbed that style of play…more than it wouldn’t work. Concentration and intensity with the prep work is a joke. You get one week to prepare. Pretty much the same as every other week. Much different work week during playoffs? I don’t see it.

Kaeoernick git to the SB also.

The key is we are seeing a shift. Josh Allen and Mahomes run and are athletic. I don’t see it any different to stop him week four versus postseason.

Coaches in the NFL are embracing the legs as a tool now more. So more guys getting opportunity to play with this style. Practically taking over. So get ready. Running QBs are going to win postseason.

Hurts specifically with us creates conflict with defenders. Gotta watch the RB. Gotta watch the Qb. Gotta watch the throw. Our very good version right now of offense is dictating to defenses. That’s what you want. You want to Man up…well you turning your back to the QB. So he can get big chunks taking off. Stack the box and run blitz….he toss it over the top. Defenses weren’t built to account for all that really.  So these DCs have to adjust their playbooks. Can’t even really consider much of your playbook because of our triple threat. Week one…week 15. Postseason…doesn’t make a difference. Creating conflict with defenders works always. You gonna just mush rush? You gonna spy? You going to force him by blitz? You just going to drop back in massive coverage?

Same with our divisional rivals. Don’t consider Washington on the same level as the other two. Giants and Cowboys throw out everything. Studied all offseason to figure out advantages. Almost turns into a slugfest at times.

Saw Carr get slung worse. No call.

Only issue is Hurts is not doing well vs the blitz. AZ got to him last week.....

Yes...the guy you keep talking about replacing because he needs 3 more yards to his net average.

He finally got to league average after the coach lit his jock on fire

Murray is missing the intangibles so much. He’s super talented. But thinking that will always hold him back.

So his intangibles changed after he lost all his receivers like Fitz? Kirk? No effect there? Seems he was on fire early and the wheels came off,but that was the surrounding talent not loss of intangibles (do you ever lose those??)
