carolina ran Caff into the ground like dallas did with Murray several years ago.

When we picked him up there was nothing left.

LMAO oh you don't think they solve their issues from week 2???? They are 4-1 we were the only ones to beat them

And they have no coach or QB LOL and the article I posted said he would be a great fit here

Why he would fit here in the RBBC system. Personally I would rather draft the round 1 RB from Texas, but the article mentioned us a possible trade partner. Caff on the backside of his career but with RBBC maybe 2-3 years left. Just tossing it out there,I never said I would make the trade(but I will be blamed as the messenger because that's how it works here)

If we're making a SB run he would be nice to have around

Sounds just like the Ped/Wentz debacle. Mayfield didnt win day 1, so they fire the coach LOL which is ironic since they paid Cleveland to have him beat them week 1 LOL

#Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon on approach vs #Cowboys: "I want to line up and be simple and play and out-execute and out-hit them. That's going to be our challenge to them because they do the exact same thing on offense... They out-execute, and they out-hit you.”

Wondering when Jordan Davis' snaps will increase. I'd like to see him smash Elliot/Pollard a few times and drop his entire mass on them:lol:

It still feels a bit shocking that we made a big move up in the first to take a run stuffer early. Totally different logic going on now.

Traded up for Davis…who plays limited snaps. Traded away other first round pick to Saints for first next draft. Second rounder….sits bench. Third rounder…sits bench. Johnson sits bench. Not getting much out of this draft class so far this season.

From Gowton;

Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jordan Davis had a reputation even before he played a down in the NFL. Running a 4.78-second 40-yard dash at 6-foot-6 and over 340 pounds will do that. Davis’ nose tackle position and play style will never lead to him filling up the box score, but his effectiveness in the run game can make his teammates’ jobs way easier. The Eagles’ linebackers can stay clean behind Davis, while teams that prefer to have undersized but athletic centers (much like Philadelphia with Davis’ teammate, Jason Kelce) will literally and figuratively have their hands full in going one-on-one with Davis. It can physically wear down centers who have to do that on a dozen-plus snaps during a game, and Davis can then use his outlandish size to disrupt the entire flow of an offensive play. Usually line play is best shown off from an end-zone angle, but look at the push Davis gets here on Arizona Cardinals center Sean Harlow. The impact not only knocks Harlow back but stalls the pulling tackle, knocks the running back of his track and leads to a Josh Sweat tackle for loss. Davis likely will be nothing more than a pocket pusher in passing-down situations, but his ability to knock offensive lineman back can stop opposing run games in their tracks before they can even get going. His on-field/off-field splits (via NextGenStats) reflect that. Ball carriers are averaging 6.0 yards per carry and 1.9 yards before contact for the 53 rushing attempts when Davis was not on the field. Those numbers drop to 3.8 yards and 0.8 yards, respectively, on the 52 attempts with Davis in the game.

May see a lot more of Davis this week as dullass is so run heavy.

Hasn't worked out well at all so far. 🤷

Good sign.... draft is for future.  The team is in good shape not to have to play those guys so much.  Idk.... Kelce,  Cox and your boy " the Gravedigger" kinda are established players.  Is it surprising that the 1st 2 picks aren't playing much this year so far?    When they were drafted,  wasn't this obvious?

What is the weakness on this team that you would prefer other players for the long term?

I mean...isn't it a guarantee for your boy to get his $50 mil per now?  Is the need so short term for your draft pick to have to have impact just for this year?

I don't get it.  Run defense was not good last year. You like ball control. You saw what the V guy did for Tampa last year, so what is the issue?   Pass D was upgraded all over the place, we needed help with the run D,especially long term.

We could use DE depth. Just don't understand ST's. Kick returns are miserable, don't know why we haven't given Devon Allen a shot.

I would hope that Davis plays allot this week as Dallas runs the Ball over 50% of the time. It is their bread and butter for offense. Stop Elliott and Pollard and you stop their offense. Also, we need to run against Dallas. They are one of the best defenses against the pass, but should be vulnerable against the run. DO NOT Turn the ball over!
