If there's a chance of him reinjuring the shoulder i'd rather see him sit out until after the bye

Me too,but we can't let them get to Hurts or we will end up with Wentz and you know their thinking would be "contain/ attack.sack" So the best protection is what I want. We also have bye to rest up if he is 90%. We have other O line not at 100%. I could see us putting him in on 3rd/long passing situations as that will be their best option for an outside blitz. So maybe we spot him in. IDk I am not the med staff

I hope the "pop out" was a 1 time freak thing because once you pop a joint out they pop out easier over time if you don't build those muscles up

Here you go nitpicking words for your agenda. DO you really think a DT and OT can be compared? isn't it rather obvious once D line was mentioned that would be what he meant? So eing the best DEFENSIVE LINEMAN isn't good enough, he now has to play on offense too?

"Lineman, not JUST DT's” ….ok….I understand his meaning here then. Thanks for helping correct and understand. Think it’s pretty understandable how I took him saying Lineman not just DT as everybody that plays in the trenches. His meaning was over the DE also. Not over the Oline also. Got it now.

So what's Dillards status.

He has been practicing for a few weeks?

You said defensive lineman…then lineman. I think it’s absurd to think Davis was that huge a factor for Georgia D. Arguably the most stacked D I’ve ever seen. Davis came out on many of the most crucial downs even.

Ham, you are allowed to think what you like. Apparently this dude thinks differently. I meant D-Lineman. Obviously not Offensive Lineman....

A huge concern is how we deal with the blitz. They don’t want Goedert staying in to block. Not even seeing him chip block much. We don’t have a RB pass blocking worth a crap. So our RB either stay back and blow their blocking assignment or…..the coaches just say screw it and send them out in a pattern. WR and QB need to get on the same page with blitz recognition. Was a huge problem last season. Thought with more seasoning, and adding AJ, we’d be much improved. Steichen going to the screens was a good idea….the first ten times. Cards figured that out at halftime.

They don’t need to say. He’s on IR. So you don’t report injury. He’s just been activated to practice. Don’t think they have to activate until Saturday. So why do anything sooner for our big rivalry game?

Gainwell is actually a decent blocking back.

Watch the all 22 breakdown. He looks lost half the time pass blocking.

OK cool. Yeah the measurable metrics are all different

Stoll is ok at blocking, that's why I would like to see more 2 TE sets if TE 2 is healthy(whomever that is)

I read he'd been activated from IR

Well well,I agree with you here(lol) Going to be imperative Hurts makes quick reads and gets the ball out. It HAS to be done. Part of the game we all really would like to see,him burning their blitz packages and making them pay. I believe they will try to force short screens and let their LB"s clean them up,Hurts needs to throw over the LB's IMO

(which BTW is one of the strongest parts of his game). Needs to be 6-7 yard passes not the 3-4 yarders or their LB's will stop them

Steichen had a bad week. Our huge play on third down with the game on the line and we have three receivers right in the same spot? AJ things he can leap for the ball maybe. Hits Quez but defender can easily come off his guy to disrupt it….because they are all in the same spot. Think it was Goedert’s man. Doesn’t make much sense. Saw how their OC created situations,  X and O wise, to get a WR matched up on TJ. Our OC had several plays that had three receivers in the same area. Just doesn’t even make any sense.

There are a variety of things that make this one of the best NFL defenses entering Week 6. First, Micah Parsons (nine QB pressures in Week 5) is responsible for 24 pressures through five games even as he deals with minor injuries. DeMarcus Lawrence remains an elite pass rusher, defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa is thriving in his second season and defensive end Dorance Armstrong is the latest breakout player. Dallas will be tested against the Eagles’ offense on Sunday Night Football In Week 6, a clash between a phenomenal pass rush vs an elite offensive line. Don’t miss it.

Stoll is TE2. But Calcatarra is up and coming. Just was hurt most of the PS. Getting more involved it seems. We’ve been going out of 11 personnel mostly this year. Gets you AJ, DeVonta, Quez and Goedert out there to create problems for the D. Hard to argue with that much. You going to take Quez out for Stoll or Calcatarra? Tough call. Think we could utilize 12 personnel more. That could help block up the blitz. But also think the 11 personnel has to come up with answers against the blitz. Gotta break off sone ‘hit routes.’ Could use a RB that actually can do the job.

His practice window was activated. They have like three weeks to activate him fully on to the roster. Two separate things taking place.

If we can't stop their pass rush you betcha

Wondering if we can't use Quez out of the back field, like they use Deebo/Hill or some of those others

Actually been reading where Gainwell is not a good blocker. He's also dealing w/ ribs

Don't know much about Sewell

You gotta look at it from both angles. If you have a WR that can get open quickly against tight coverage….that can be a blitz beater…as long as he reads the blitz and switches to a hot route. Can be valuable to have blockers to pickup the blitz too. Seems like we aren’t really getting either. More like all go out in routes and Hurts has to make a blitzer(or even two) miss. Hurts escapes and rolls….then runs or hits the receiver downfield. Playcalling could help here. Seems like Steichen has identified the issue. He game planned a screen game as counter. That’s great….as one piece of the answer. Not the whole solution. Put whatever role QB1 has to blame here also. He’s seeing it enough to avoid the sacks plenty. But is him escaping a free rusher every key passing down our way to victory?

Yeah, see this is where Ham and I argued for pages. He is NOW ticking off the boxes I wanted to see where Ham just auto accepted it and I wanted to see it with my own eyes. Now a loss here would not mean Hurts is not going to get paid, but a win here would certainly put him in the heavy plus column as they stated here. I'm not certain I agree that we should run the ball more than usual. IMO you beat the boys on short dink passes and let the YAC guys do their thing, which we are really good at. Both D lines will be busting to get to the QB. If Mailata is out I would try hard to avoid running left or having Hurts run left. Sadly I believe Hurts will be running alot this week and I hope he doesn't get injured. Like to see some deep shots early(very early) to set up the play action. Going to be a severe chess match and trench war. All are calling for a super low score. I believe we find a way and I still think 31-17 Eagles

Why can't we do both and mix up the looks????
