Exactly what I’m saying….need to be multiple. Pretty well struggling in all areas dealing with it right now. Clearly we’ve been exposed against the blitz. We will see heavy doses of it until we show that you’ll get burned for trying.

You gotta look at it from both angles. If you have a WR that can get open quickly against tight coverage….that can be a blitz beater…as long as he reads the blitz and switches to a hot route. Can be valuable to have blockers to pickup the blitz too. Seems like we aren’t really getting either. More like all go out in routes and Hurts has to make a blitzer(or even two) miss. Hurts escapes and rolls….then runs or hits the receiver downfield. Playcalling could help here. Seems like Steichen has identified the issue. He game planned a screen game as counter. That’s great….as one piece of the answer. Not the whole solution. Put whatever role QB1 has to blame here also. He’s seeing it enough to avoid the sacks plenty. But is him escaping a free rusher every key passing down our way to victory?

If he is running for his life every down he's NOT going to make reads 3/4, he will be needing outlets like Goedert and RB's out of the backfield. Depends how fast they can get to him. If the defense are in his face before the ball gets there it's going to be a long night. I would also suggest we use some pitch outs/laterals with blockers in front. I would LOVE to be AT the game

Right, why I suggested Hurts needs to throw 6/7 yarders OVER the LB's not the 3-4 yards or they will eat that up

That would cause the LB's to pull back to cover Goedert which would open up the running game

Last year our one real game against the cowboys…Siri said his strategy was Shootout. Was pretty dumb then. Actually makes much more sense this time around.

I like 58's strategy to stand Parsons up,strain that groin-GO THERE

Cards had that super athletic high pick Simmons that was a S/Lb hybrid. Or you could pass the TE off from LB to S.

Run at Parsons and take some shots downfield.

Have not see Rush play can he run like Dak???

I think it may turn into that after a low scoring first 1/2

If the plan was to do things to suck the cowboys in so we can gash them over the top…looks like it’s a job well done.

Planning and executing 2 different things

But has the plan been to deliberately hold back some of the known answers knowing Dallas was on deck? Hold back AJ. Develop the screen game as part of our arsenal. That all sucks up the defenders to blitz, leery of the run and attack the outside potential screen. Just seems like we got AJ mainly for this reason. So kind of feels like some high stakes gamesmanship to me. Like, the answer is so obvious, that we deliberately weren’t using it because of our high stakes matchup this week.

I think you are reading too much into this. Every team goes with the hot hand for that game. Like Kelce in KC had 4 TD's. If that is the hot match-up you go there until they stop you. I week AJ shined, one week it was Smith. Hurts just needs to quickly find the weak spot as they will do to us

I feel the best match-up will be to go to Goedert on a 6 yard sprint out/or crossing pattern over the LB's. They will have to adjust by holding their LB's in/dropping them back which should help open the running game or at least allow the RB's to get to the second level. I think over the LB's in the middle of the field is where they are vulnerable, just need to find that sweet spot

Target Vander Esch and Anthony Barr in their coverage you suggest?  Think they are vulnerable. Probably add in their SS Kearse  as well. Run at Parsons and beat those three starters in coverage. Doesn’t sound like a bad start to a plan at all.

Seems our strength of schedule has clearly changed from previous expectations. Firmly a middle of the pack schedule it appears now. Going to need to earn it all the way it seems.

Not what I wanted to hear! I have confidence in Dickerson, but not the same as Kelce - best center in the league.

Daniel Snyder says he has dirt on plenty of the owners and Goodell and can bring the whole league down….they can’t F with him …he says. This is obviously all rumor. But feels deliberate in backlash against the league attacking him. Specifically Jerry Jones was mentioned as him having a file on.

So they came after Snyder and he immediately countered with sending investigators out digging into them.

So Snyder stepped back. Gruden takes all the fire. But the league investigation into Washington ongoing for years has fielded no other results but trying to ruin Gruden. Sure seems like Snyder got something in leverage on them.

Would be the rookie Jurgens taking over if needed.
