NFL Research: The Eagles scored 20 points in the second quarter, bringing their total to 112 points scored in the second stanza in 2022, which is the most points by any team in any quarter in the first six games of a season in NFL history. It's also more than 11 teams, including the Cowboys, Packers and Rams, have total points in 2022.

Now put it together for 4 quarters! I understand bleeding the clock, it's making some games tighter than they need to be. We've gotten lucky a few times already.

Right, but last week you were paying him $50 mil per year.   Let's relax and watch the whole season first.  Plus I'm curious to see how the coach does not that he has a legit roster.

Some games you can win with 155 yards passing and 28 yards rushing from your QB.  We had good field position and possessions were limited.  It wasn't a game that was going to see monster stats.

Really not getting why people are concerned about sacks either... They set it up where it was quick passes, bootlegs etc for Rush.   Getting some pressure and having the coverage worked more than fine.

Like I said,I think we pay him regardless. It would just be nice to know he can accurately hit a 30 yard pass consistently instead of dump offs and letting the other guys pad the stats for you

" I still don't know"   right, no need to know until January.   Team needs to make a lot of decisions... no need to rush.

If we all just wait until Jan may as well shut the board down until then, but I kinda like talking about the team

LOL yeah play 15,hang on in the 2nd 1/2. We're gonna play that game once too often(ask the Ravens who had leads and lost 3/4 of the last weeks)

I like talking about the team.  2022 team is undefeated. Plenty to talk about with this team.  2023 can wait.  I have Smith in round 4 of my mock...plenty of time for that later.  So much going on with the current season.

Like, we outscored 11 teams just in one quarter.   Can we ask why it seems the 2nd quarter is our thing.   What are the reasons?

Is it the coaching making the quick adjustments right after the initial possessions?  Great sign.  Last night the score came in the 2nd quarter... but all the work was done driving down in the first quarter.   Do we think they should have forced trying to score before the quarter ended?

Interesting conversation to be had.  Siri could rush things so as when the analytic nerds look at the stuff,  he could try to not make the 2nd quarter look good?

Or is total domination in one quarter having such an effect on the outcome of a game that it's great for us.

When Washington put up 35 points vs Denver in the 2nd quarter of the SB... were people looking at Doug Williams like " you need to score more in the other 3 quarters, this SB win is with an asterisk " ????     Idk.  For me anything within the 60 minutes counts.  Teams in every sport go on runs.  Great teams use them to win.  Growing up it was about stopping those teams for going on those runs.  I don't see why the issue is for our opponents to stop us. Not for us to do anything differently?

Have to think the price on Ceedy Deuce just went up. Think he was Player of the Game. Gardner-Johnson going to cost us an extra two mil a year for that. He just went from 9 mil maybe to 12 a season. Listening to him though….think he really likes it and appreciates it here….so maybe that works in our favor.

Why you obsessed with this?

Obsessing? Don't you think the FO is looking at next yr? Contracts, FA, draft - things a FO thinks  about yr round.

Someone please tell me if you find out.

Dunno. Do know it's an NFL record for 2nd qtr scoring in 6 games

So not complaining.

Last night wanted to put another 20 up in the 2nd half

Ham is obsessed with this one guy and a couple million.

I'm not in the front office,  not my job.

Disagree, because things that happen with the 2022 team affect the 2023 team. Team, decisions, draft thoughts, offseason acquisitions are 24/7/365 and there is no way for me personally to draw a line of separation. To me it's always a fluid intertwined thing constantly moving

Probably so,but then we falter after the 1/2 because the other team made adjustments, but now Siri can't adjust to those new ones? yes very interesting. I mean so far playing 15 has been enough, but our luck will run out if we can barely score in the 2nd 1/2. Defense has been saving our bacon which puts a bit more pressure on finding replacements that can hold the same standard of excellence

Playing QB is not our job either, but we talk about that too, so if noone cares, or talks about things they want to talk about until the season is over, shut down this board because it's pointless to stay in contact with fellow fans

"17 unanswered points, making it 20-17.

It was frustrating to watch and, if your sphincter tightened a bit in real time, you were justified."          I guess this was everybody but Joe. The last long drive in the 4th was absolutely ESSENTIAL.

You obsessed about Hurts. We all discussed it. Gardner-Johnson was a pretty quick obvious fit. Good trade. Gotta consider extending. Epps is first priority if you can do things right. What about Bradbury? Quez? Sanders?

Lane bothers me some. Out again(thankfully on a bye week). And I know you cannot predict a concuss, but he missed time other years also. Driscoll got beat like a step child, need to at least find a better RT BU and Lane sometimes threatens to quit, so ????????? Seems all our BU's are better off the left side? Maybe its just me
