Yeah, why try and keep quality players?

The comment was about Howie not signing Watson.  You follow?

On a good note, AZ up by 14 over NO in the 3rd. Not watching

Forgot about tonight....like 3 weeks in a row... except it also means I forgot to insert D Hop in my fantasy leagues... but it seems AZ is scoring on defense tonight?

AZ scored 25 of their 28 points in the 2nd Q.     Wonder if their fans are complaining?     I'm surely not... beat those Saints.

Saints getting trounced!!! Excellent

I don’t care about padding stats

Then why do you use padded stats to make your agenda point?

You seem too obsessed with being the top offense and scoring over 32 a week.

LMFAO ok last year was 25.6 PPG,this year it's 26.5. You mean to tell me this team is only 1 PPG better than last years team?? Once again you have a LOW bar. With the offense we have is there any reason you can state that we should NOT be leading the league in points(32 or otherwise). I asked this question like 3 weeks ago and still have not gotten an answer. And BTW how many of those 26.5 PPG were scored by the DEFENSE? Or how many times did the DEFENSE give the offense a short field? I'll wait. OK I will answer for you- TWELVE TIMES we have set the offense up,that is EIGHT more than any other team in the league yet that equates to 1 PPG? I also said 32 was the GOAL what can't you understand about that??? Do you know what a goal is?

AND how many points do they have right now???

Like last year when we hit the brick wall in playoff game 1? That W/L?

IDK why AZ keeps scoring, I mean they had this at the 1/2. Shoulda stopped there. OH WAIT...............

I think he would be fine as a BU/rotational guy just to help with the "insurance"

So did I say he was a starter??? Besides he is BU at many O line spots and has played them all

Caff to SF

So even if we scored 32 vs the Aints tonight we would have lost 34-32. But let's set that bar at 26.5 Sad

I have one reason.  The other teams haven't scored enough to have the need for us to score more...." except Detroit "   But here is where you can see it... Dallas game got within 3 points....what happened on the next drive?   Another point where you can see... Jax got ahead by a couple of scores... what happened immediately after that?

" well you can't rely on that every game, what if...."     yes... because during the game you can see what type of scoring the opponent is doing and you can play the game according.

I will give another example.   2010 or whatever was the " Ham flag football team of Vick, MeSeans and Maclin" ...lighting up the scoreboard.  Then compare that to 2017 team.    I believe the Vick squad scored more... but when you needed points and to control the game, the 2017 was much better.  One flopped toward the end , the other dominated from start to finish vs top defenses Carolina, Rams, Denver...and then even with Foles the last 2 games.

Looking at the points, doesn't tell the whole story...especially when we are looking at 25 to 26.  Doing it in a way that controls the game and being able to do it vs better defenses and during times when you really need to score.  That puts it in better context.

You think the Saints, with the group they had last night .. would score 34 in Philly?   No shot!

OK the "context" for me is this. last year we played many teams that were banged up/sad shape and we got 25.6 PPG. Howie did alot of offseason work, AJ>Reagor(etc). Sanders is also now healthy, and maybe the teams we play are a little above last year, but that only equates to 1.1 PPG because we COAST,and although clock burning is fine,we start that WAY too soon and when we play better teams such as playoff rounds that will not hold water. We have given this offense 12 extra chances to put points up,but we don't we clock burn. So far that has worked vs these lesser teams(I will still say the Vikes win was super impressive),but basically it's our defense that is carrying the water and I expected more from this offense. Hurts is alot better than last year and all the added weaponry and 12 extra chances(and scores) from the defense should put us near the top of the PPG lead. I'm hoping we are not having a false sense of how good we are because we take our foot off the gas and sometime we're going to get burned,so that is the context for me personally. 25.6 PPG last year and there is no reason for me that we can't score 1 more TD per game especially given what the defense has handed the offense(scores and or short fields to work with). So like last year the W/L looks great, but we sure got a rude awakening in the round 1 playoffs last year and I don;t want a repeat. If AZ had stopped scoring at 1/2 time, they would have lost the game,so really to this point it's the DEFENSE that is holding this up and I would like to see more response from the offense. scoring 26.3 PPG means we would have lost last night had we played either team and while there will be high scoring games and 6-3 games I expected us to be higher scoring than we are

Hard to know because all they had at WR was Olave, the other WR's were out, fairly easy to cover one guy. Plus they have changing QB issues,so really there is no way to know either way,but suffice to say despite their missing players they still put up more points than we did vs AZ. So that is hard to know what they could do vs us at full capacity(and it was an away game for them also)

I'm fine if you want to clock burn/control the game mid 4th or whatever, but we start in the 3rd and sometime we're going to get burned on a comeback because the momentum changes and we didn't score enough in the 2nd 1/4. NO almost came back vs AZ despite the 2 picks. So far Hurts has not thrown any(good for him),but the offense has had it easy because of the defense. That is all I am saying. the offense coasts and relies on the defense and that is a bad habit to get into. I imagine we will face the Vikes again later and I doubt we will shut them down like we did week 2 and really there are no tough teams for us to play except maybe the Gnats,Dullaz may be better with Dak,so maybe 3 games where we need to actually put out an effort. We did well to get that last drive on Dullaz or we could have lost that game(with BU QB)

And in fact even Siri had some "concern" about this same thing. So I can't be all that wrong in pointing it out. I just have a higher bar than you guys

If NO was at full strength at WR, could we score 34 in the dome?(I mean if our defense wasn't stellar with scores and picks) If you think we could, we need to show we could. If you think we could not, then we aren't going far in the playoffs

I know Howie is on the phones,I am curious to see if we make a trade deadline move. Carolina has basically thrown the towel in. We don't have room, but I totally have a man crush on DJ Moore lol, and now he will be blanketed and become disenchanted. Moore,Smith and AJ would totally kick(but wait for the season to end so he is good and angry)

The only thing I'd say is that there's a lot of 3-3 teams right now and so there's a lot of teams who know they could get on a roll and they could make the play offs. I think that'll make for a quieter trade deadline but I guess we shall see. I'm sure Howie is on the phones though!

SF sure helped their cause LOL. Now what do they do with Jimmy? (or Lance). AZ will be much better with Robinson now. All I would really like to see is a bit of O line "insurance". Guys who can play but may be past their primes on a "till the season ends" deal

Ok... again.  You watched 2010 and 2017.  To you which was the better offense?   I say 2017.   I believe Ham's flag team in 2010 actually scored more though.      It's enough right there...  last year vs this year us different.  The Eagles have been in control... all the times they needed to score or move the ball, they did so far.

Btw... " when we play playoff teams"   I'm not expecting 21 point leads... I don't think we will be in position to " coast"  it's why I'm not looking at it...you can only play the situation that you are in at the moment.  Belicheck won 7 SBs doing it that way.   I like that Siri gives the opponent less of a chance to come back.

Yep because we are +12 on turnovers. Would we have won the same games if we were +1?
