Btw... " when we play playoff teams"   I'm not expecting 21 point leads... I don't think we will be in position to " coast"  it's why I'm not looking at it...you can only play the situation that you are in at the moment.  Belicheck won 7 SBs doing it that way.   I like that Siri gives the opponent less of a chance to come back.

Once again it's not Siri, it's Gannons defense no??? And that has nothing to do with offensive output,in fact that should ENHANCE it(offensive output) and it's not happening. Yeah we can drag butt and clock burn because the weak teams we face are not come back capable because they don't have the offense to counter our defense. At some point we will run across one that CAN. Playing 15 minutes isn't my idea of something we need to get used to. Tossing the week 1 scorefest the only decent drive in the 2nd 1/2 was vs Dullaz. I guess we just view what makes a champion differently and that's fine, but it doesn't change my thoughts

Yep because we are +12 on turnovers. Would we have won the same games if we were +1?

What dies that have to do with the offense scoring when they need to?

Once again...there have been games this year where teams blew leads because their offense didn't keep the ball awayftom the other team.

So here is a thought.   We blew out the bad teams last year....dominated those games, ran the score up.    How did that translate in the playoffs?   It doesn't.    And it won't now either.    It's not college football where you need to run up the score to move up in rankings.    Running up the score vs the scrubs doesn't translate when you play a good team in a win or go home situation.   Win the game and stay healthy is the goal now.    Towards the end you want to sharpen your play heading into the playoffs.  September and October...accumulate wins while avoiding injuries.

Go Phillies!!!!

Like I said we think differently

Does the McCaffrey deal open the Panthers up to be slightly more reasonable to trading Burns is what I ponder. They got a bunch of picks from the Niners. But not that elite first round pick. I think landing that deal with Santa Clara takes pressure off a little bit. Because they got that. So now they can trade Burns already having loaded draft ammo. It’s the move I think is best for us if any….at least the small number I’ve actually heard of. Which we know isn’t everything being thrown around. But I value Burns for us long term. Feel he comes in near elite level….at a cheap price today. We can extend him to make next years number more palpable for us. So he fits. Killer young pass rusher. I’d easily give up our first round pick…plus. Now the plus is crucial. What’s the price? But kids worth it in my eyes. Great opportunity if they are cool enough to move him. But can see how having a clean slate if great draft ammo makes their job a good hire for a new staff. They are terrible…so their own picks should be great also. If I was a coach I’d prefer having Burns than what I see the price paid in draft ammo. But if Rosie can convince them to give him away I strike. He’s not just a one year rental old expensive vet. He could be a long term core piece….but massively aid today. Can’t beat that. So I sign off on 2023 Eags first rounder and 2024 Eagles second rounder. Do it!

Think the trade deadline is too early. Extra playoff teams plus factors games. Think the league doesn’t lose much if they move it back even two weeks.

These articles by Page have been coming out every few wks and are pretty good. Shows how we're playing situational football and how Hurts is reacting to what the D's are giving us;

Right....you think beating Detroit and the Jets by 50 points helped in the playoffs last year... I don't

So basically the trade you got from the Saints....

So the question is..  was there a rookie you would prefer we drafted.... instead of Burns and Dean?

I'm a fan of situational football.    In life all that matters is how you handle the current situation you are in at that moment.   Each moment is different.  Each moment isn't a hypothetical, it's the reality.  How you handle those different situations is what matters.

Helps players who show they can put the stats up to get paid/stay with their respective teams rather than snuffed out like Sanders last year with zero TD's. Robble Anderson left Carolina because he was getting no targets. Not hard to understand when you have the personnel, they want to be noticed. Nothing breeds contempt/dis-satisfaction more than being ignored and I am not asking for 50, I am only asking for 32(goal) 30 would be fine. So if Sanders(or any skill position player) had few stats this year who is going to pay for non performance?

He wants Burns,I believe you mean Davis and Dean

Uh they lost Caff and Anderson, you want them to trade every player they have? They are going to rebuild mode, but they are still going to need some building blocks and I see no reason for them to trade Burns away. That being said if we offered a 1 and some others maybe he could be pried away. However I don't see Howie giving up the NO pick and a 30-32 pick really would not suffice to even talk about Burns,so I don't think we are in any position to work that deal

So players are happy getting meaningless stats when they are already ahead by 4 TDS.    Anderson left Carolina because of what happened with 3 TD leads?

I think at 6-0...the Eagles are being noticed!

Hey your team is 15-2 and the #1 seed....  " so what, I'm not happy because in week 3 when we were up by 24 points, I didn't get my garbage stats.  "

No... Ham has been critical of the Saints trade since day 1.   The trade he is proposing is a 1st next year, plus a 2nd in 2024 to get Burns.    That's what we got from the Saints... plus also the 3rd round pick we traded to get Brown...which freed up our 3rd round pick for Dean.

So again....Burns and Dean would be the result of the Saints trade.    I'm asking Ham if he prefers that... or is there a rookie he thinks we should have drafted with the pick we traded to the Saints?

I love how the complaining went from Hurts isn’t a starting QB to….the number four scoring offense isn’t enough. Just don’t really see where this stuff comes from. We gotta be the top passing, rushing and scoring team every single quarter or we just can’t win. Think just kind of crazy bar going on. Really enjoying this team. They can play some ball. Plenty of new guys inserting this year into things. Young guys developing. I expect they work on self scouting and adding even more wrinkles to everything. Don’t need to be perfect week one. Need to be at the end of the season. All about where we can get everything at that point. How healthy we can stay.

Who TF said he wasn't a starting QB??? Not me.Once again putting words in my mouth, but I'm used to that. The fact I wanted to see some development and improvement over last year and making some NFL QB plays means I said he's not starter? I said no such thing. I said I had things I wanted to see from him. Do you understand the difference?(apparently not or your would have not posted this BS). Not real hard for your offense to score with +12 takeaways giving them short fields? Going 30 yards is easier than 75? yes I know you don't see and that is your problem, not mine. So far the defense has basically saved the offense in every game(except week 1).

No he left/wanted out because he needs targets like every other starting WR

I expect some bumps in the road. We clearly have that target on us now….especially in the NFC.

Easy schedule, only the Gnats and Dullaz are decent, maybe GB,so that's 4 games we may actually need to play 60

https://www.nfl.com/stats/team-stats/offense/scoring/2022/reg/all   3rd in scoring,TIED with the Saints(20 TD's each) What are those teams records? I know,it's because the +12 from the defense helped put the offense into scoring position(but your right you don't see). Kinda like you don't see what I look for in QB's now that my previously "undraftable" QB is a round 1 🤣
