Freaking hilarious how much you ride Hurts that just turned 24. Yet you just absolutely love this 25 year old college QB. Hardly even wrap my head around it really. 4 years ago the younger guy Hurts was killing it even more than this guy that’s had double college eligibility. Why don’t you go watch some old Hurts college film. Guy smoked anything Tennesse doing. If Burrow didn’t shatter every record throwing to Jamarr Chase Hurts is easy Heisman. Basically any other year. But image Hurts still playing in college this year and next still…..crazy. He’s doing it in the big league already too though.

Maybe we draft the Tenn QB. Sign the slightly older Ryan Fitzpatrick. We can let Hurts develop them both. The bonus is they can get cheap coffee with their senior citizen discounts for Hurts. Maybe they can tell our QB1 all about the good old days.

He had the most explosive plays in the league last year. He’s doing pretty much exactly what this team needs of him. Practically been a different scenario every game. He’s answered the bell every time. Every way. I have zero problems with our defense playing. Why shouldn’t they be good? I’m more concerned about the Eagles. The whole organization. Whole team. Everybody has their roles. Hurts has been fantastic. What is he like third in Vegas odds of MVP at this point? If to win what we need is for him to escape the mayhem pass rush going unblocked and just throw the ball away to avoid a bad play…he makes it happen. Good stuff. Those plays are huge. Huge loss of yardage on sacks make everything more difficult. Sack fumbles really screw things up. But just no way you can see how the O is making a huge difference for the D. How many times has our O out the D in tough spots with a short field to defend? Both are playing great. Both have their own roles. To me….I see the D really capitalizing when we get a lead and make our opponent predictable. If the O puts points on the board it helps put pressure on. Our O has been great for our D. We control the ball on offense. Pretty much the opposite of Chipper Ball. Did the O always doing hurry up and not burning clock or giving the D rest help the D more? Or our O not turning it over. Having quality drives and putting points on the board aid the D more? Sorry that you can’t see the symbiotic relationship going on in this team game. No matter where they play…they follow their leader….number one….QB1….Jalen Hurts. Proud of him and this team.

D was terrible last year. Just let QBs have record completions. Weak pressure on the QB. But you can’t recognize how much that made things more difficult for our O. Why not just step back and look at this big picture team and enjoy the success? Pretty good character guys that are easy to root for. Things can’t continue this fantastic. But think we got the right guys to stick together and figure out whatever adjustments are needed ahead.

I don’t think our coaches, defense or offense has hit their ceiling yet. Still growing, geling and adding more. Very exciting stuff. So many younger players on their way up here. I’m just enjoying the blossom of Siri’ efforts.

This team has done pretty great having second half long clock killing drives controlling the clock. AND WIN! Let’s do whatever it takes to do that. Feels like we’ve won different ways ever week. Versatile winners is absolutely something I can get behind.

I’m going to enjoy our bye week. No stress or pressure. Just check out the league and watch football. Root for exciting games and spectacular plays!

You dogged Hurts out talking about how he stinks. That you think Shew should have been in the whole time. Talking all this about whether we should pay Hurts. If you don’t pay him…then you don’t think he’s a starting QB. If you want him benched for the backup QB….what’s that make him? Clearly not a starter.

Frankly can anybody,other than me, say they’ve been believing in Hurts and saw him as the starting QB? Think I can call this whole board out on not thinking Hurts was a starting QB. I actually spoke of how he could be in the MVP race this season. He’s a big time long shot to have any chance to actually win the award. But him getting MVP votes and everybody here was endlessly throwing him under the bus talking about drafting a QB in 2023….hahahaha….you guys really had your finger on the pulse of that one. I stood my ground about my opinion. Took the abuse and negativity from practically the whole board. 

To me it was bigger than bashing Hurts. It was bashing our team. I don’t want to say everybody gotta have blind faith. But just ripping a young kid just starting out in the league….with a less than average team. He carried us so much last season. But he shouldn’t have to….so much. Glad we have other players doing their jobs. Shouldn’t the skill position guys ….show skill? Playmakers make plays? Oline guys block? Defenders do their jobs? For what feels like two years now it’s been put all on Hurts….anything negative. Wasn’t much of a team he had. But you had no problems laying it all on his doorstep. Now that we actually got some players…created a real team…..now…Hurts has nothing to do with it. 

Also felt like not only was this board Hurts haters….they coveted the Great Carson Wentz. Two years…been hearing it. You guys views on QB1 haven’t aged well. Commanders need some kind of fans…they’ll welcome you aboard the Wentz train….or has it already left DC? I don’t even think he’ll start again.

Yeah they can't find a QB or coach. Robbie was the first guy out and he requested it, now Caff is out so they are in full "throw the towel in and tank for pick 1" mode so they should end up with a high pick and get their QB and go from there.
