FL I think this KC game would maybe goes towards your point. How to beat KC and Buffalo? Don’t think we are as good as them at this time.

Niners are a tough D. But Chiefs aren’t running the ball on them. That’s their biggest strength. But thought their pass D was better than this. Gotta give it to AR. He really torched the top D.

Niners a tougher matchup for us. We need to be able to run the ball much more than the chiefs. We just aren’t built the same. So we can’t do this to the Niners.

Loving watching Seattle whip the Chargers. The Broncos sucking. Shows how much that on paper stuff is worth during the summer. Good for wiping your bum is about it.

Agree....good thing we don't need to play them for another 3 and a half months.   A lot can change by then

I'm looking at the Saints.  Tankathon watch started for me.   I'm rooting for every 2 and 3 win team to keep jumping ahead.   Idiot Falcons week 1,they had the game won!

I just can’t see a version of the trade deadline going by without Rosie making a move. I don’t know if he goes for the blockbuster move. Think the Panthers already having two successful big trades really makes it so they don’t have to sell now. Going to have to pay for Burns for sure. They just had to do something. It’s like 85 percent chance he’s does something though. He’ll spend a fifth round pick at least. That way he at least looks like he’s doing his job and doing something. Just the way he works. Maybe not overpaying for the big fish is the best move. But if he can’t get a pretty big time player…he’ll cover it up with some move.

No doubt. It’s always a gamble. Looking decent on that pick now. Has to be top ten pick for me to not consider it a bad trade. We discussed how all the really bad teams that we expect to be top ten wouldn’t trade their first rounder expecting it to be high. Saints we’re in denial. They just might work out to be the team to get us there.

We all know how it works out for us always though. Saints will suck just enough early…then get lucky at the end and disappoint us. Probably look like a great pick then they’ll win three of their last four. Haha I hope not…but seems like what always happens to us.

An NFL General Manager said the minimum for Burns is two 1st-round picks.

Would you pay it

Thank goodness the Saints game isn’t the last game for us. That would have been tough. In my way too early thinking about getting a high seed. Or if we could rest players with nothing to play for.

Funny thing is that unknown GM source is actually probably a rumor from the Panthers to try and drive up price. It’s believable though. I speculated a first 2023 and 2024 2nd…which I’d pay.

IDK maybe they need more refs on the field. Anyone else watch that last deep pass attempt to Hill before the 1/2 ? Clearly targeted by (I assume) the Pitts safety. Pretty blatant and obvious(and no I am not biased here). If they really wanted to protect players that clown should have been tossed out of the game, fined and suspended for a few games. It was so obvious it's not funny. It wasn't the CB covering him,it was the guy that came in late. Sad display of inept refs and putting yet more players at risk due to non calls. Refs need to wake up or find another job

I'm good with pick 11.   Not that I want it to be outside top 5.   But the trade to me was worth it for sure.

If you take the butt hurt out of the perception it was done just to provide ammo to move up for a QB ... you would easily consider it a great trade.   Simple math.

Would you pay a 2022 1st?

If we lose the NFC Championship game or SB or something by a field goal….come back to me and say we couldn’t have used one more first round pick level player this year. To me we got a 2024 2nd and 2023 11th pick for pick 19. Nit blown away by that deal. 11 or 19 matters if you are trading up for value. But really…just pick the right good player. Or my idea was trade back to 27ish and pick up a pick. But it just comes down to picking the right player. I’m not butt hurt about the not picking a QB next year at all. I would think the opposite….it’s only really worth it if you are trying to package everything to move up for a QB

How does the 11th pick in 2023 help this year? Why wouldn’t the 19th pick help next year? Think there is the whole thing of us desiring a good WR also. We needed to trade for AJ because we couldn’t get a draft WR. So instead of drafting Olave…we enabled them to grab him…which arguably pushed the WR market forward and out of our reach. I loved the AJ move. But gotta pay him big time. So you could say we missed out on drafting a WR because of the Saints trade basically. Could have been us, right? Many ways to look at it. I actually was making a pint that we could have been thinking of trading 2023 picks also to boost up this year. We look pretty good this year. Why handicap this team fir the future picks? I was thinking more like take future picks or two to add to this season. Adding good draft players this year….still helps in the future.

Gardner-Johnson was also a good trade. But we had too. Light at S. I easily could still say we are light at S. Plenty of three S looks in the NFL these days. Not to mention just having depth. I also liked a pass rusher or two as options. Could the plan have been draft a top pass rusher instead of signing Barnett in the first place.

Every GM and draft value chart I’ve seen has future draft picks as worth less than current ones. So 19 now versus 11 next year? Probably lose value there according to many charts. Not terrible but don’t whine and cry if we lose a close playoff game this year. I wanted to do the opposite…trade next years pick to aid this year. Really stack this years team…plus going forward. It’s cool if you think we aren’t a contender this year. But no way I can’t say 2022 Eags are better without another tool or two in the shed. Adding in the draft…they help the future also. That trade only really benefits us if it’s a top ten pick next year really. Even still if we needed to go all in on a QB. Which we don’t. Seems the Hurts haters liked it so they could dream of a draft QB. But that still would arguably have costed a ton of draft ammo to accomplish.

Come back to me with the player you have in mind.  Own it now.   You wanted a safety or a CB.  That was your talk in April.

So you think Bradberry or #23 would be on the roster too?

You are a dope if you would pass up that trade.  Every expert.... EVERYONE  loved that trade for the Eagles.  It looks even better now.

Your planet is interesting with your ideas though.  Attention seeking for sure

And you always skip both the other parts..

Getting a 3rd round pick for a 6th.

And moving up from 19 to 18.

Let me ask you ....if you buy a car for $39,000.... do you think it's just $30,000.... with the idea of just using the first digit?  Like the other numbers don't matter?   This is what it seems when you talk.

The FULL TRADE was a no- brainer!
