Tennessee offered $16 mil per... with incentives to get to $20.

What did the Eagles pay??? Just curious what is hard to understand here?

Tennessee wasn't going to pay.  SF decided to pay Samuel.  The dude in ATL is a whack job....   the situation the Eagles could jump on and make a deal with was Tennessee.

And it's not because Hurts told Howie to hypnotize Tennessee into not paying Brown.

Teams = plural.   Again...Dallas wins...now what?

So we would never offer a player less than our top dollar amount ever? The Titans couldn’t possibly have been ….ugh…negotiating a contract?

And No Mas your insider intel in Tennessee is sure  this was their final offer, right?

Yes, Hurts went into the board staff meetings and demanded they get his friend signed or ELSE!!!(even thought they tried to get 2 other WR's prior). But don't let me ruin your dream

This isn’t what I said. I said after we struck out with every other option Hurts found us a better one.

No... Howie was doing research and making calls... but just completely missed that Brown didn't sign with Tennessee yet.   But Ridley, Deebo and every other WR he made calls.   This one  time it was Hurts stopping in his office after a workout and saw Brown was not on a list.

This is when they discussed hypnosis and how to make teams not pay players.

I'm sure Howie told Hurts "we're trying to get you another WR" After 2 attempts failed I imagine Hurts said "hey how bout my friend?" but no,not possible

Sounds like you are finally coming around to my thinking and logic. Now what happens next? Hurts tells him about where the negotiations are at between Titans and AJ….plausible, right? Then what happens next? Could it be any possibility that Rosie insured AJ we are willing to pay more? Would that not set AJ up to handle negotiations differently with Titans going forward?

Yes... Hurts found it...because Howie missed this one and wouldn't have called Tennessee.   Regardless if he was discussed as an option with Siri who was sold immediately.

To be honest... I'm not even sure Howie heard of AJ Brown prior to Hurts mentioning him.

" who is AJ Brown, can you get some film on him"  I believe that was the response.

Not believable they failed because we told him we’d pay more? Gave him the confidence and knowledge to walk away from the table with Titans.

I'm sure Howie was already looking at him after Tenn didn't sign him right away

I read him say Titans offer wasn’t as good as Eagles. Kind of confirms my theory actually. How would he compare our offer to theirs without knowing ours?

Right...because Howie would have skipped calling the Titans....Brown wasn't on their list of free agents or possible trade targets.

It was the one time Howie missed it and needed Hurts.

Yes... very conceivable that he saw other WRs making over 20 million and would be just super excited about only getting 16.

We know WRs are a humble bunch...athletes in general never look at what their piers make and want the same.

Yes now you understand finally, had nothing to do with the fact we offered to pay what Tenn would not🤣

So you believe everybody just offers their best and final offer first? You don’t believe agents and GMs negotiate?

Wpw, going on and on about a mute subject - just be glad AJ's here!

AJ-"Hi Jalen, my team won't give me what I want, remember when we joked about playing together? Do you think the Eagles would be interested?" Hurts- "IDK bro let me talk to Howie. He's probably been looking at you anyway" Done

GMs never offer less than their top offer and do that thing called negotiate. Rosie I’m sure tells agents….”id like to get you cheap at 5 mil…..but my top dollar price is 8 mil.” Will you take 5?

I believe Howie does that or we would have had one of the first 2 we looked into? Howie wouldn't pay what the others wanted?

How would AJ know our offer if you don’t believe anything I’m saying?

He came out and said $16 mil per year.  Tennessee didn't deny.  That's way underpaid for the WR market for contracts written in 2022.   What did Kirk get?  Come on now.  Stop it already.

Howie does the research, they wanted a #1 WR... Brown was on the list... Deebo got paid from SF...Ridley is a loop job... the free agents weren't as good.   The Brown situation was the only one that could have worked.   $16 was well below market.  Brown knew that.  Hurts didn't have to explain this to his agent or anyone associated with Brown.

Hurts didn't have to tell Howie to inquire about it...we all know Howie always does this.   Hurts or Howie didn't manipulate Tennessee into not paying Brown.

It's a nice thing they know each other..  didn't help with any of those things involved with getting him here.
