Wpw, going on and on about a mute subject - just be glad AJ's here!

Guess that’s what we do sometimes. I don’t really know exactly what happened.

How would AJ know our offer if you don’t believe anything I’m saying?

LMAO because Tenn wouldnt offer even 20? And he was shopping for a new team and contract? Then Howie offered him his deal?

You are in denial that's all, trying to prove you "called it" when you didn't

First player ever to have a team try and hard negotiate with them. Especially the most expensive players. Oh…wait….think we’ve heard this is how it goes down every time. GMs want cheap….agents want expensive. Shocking breaking news!

oK GTG to doc

How would AJ know the Eagles offer?

Umm gee...  because the Eagles wanted the contract in place before making the trade.  So they talked to him.    AJ already had the $16 mil offer from Tenn.

So what does anything confirm?    Isn't it obvious he knew of both teams offers before the trade?

I do because I read and comprehend the article

He came out and said $16 mil per year.  Tennessee didn't deny.  That's way underpaid for the WR market for contracts written in 2022.   What did Kirk get?  Come on now.  Stop it already.

Howie does the research, they wanted a #1 WR... Brown was on the list... Deebo got paid from SF...Ridley is a loop job... the free agents weren't as good.   The Brown situation was the only one that could have worked.   $16 was well below market.  Brown knew that.  Hurts didn't have to explain this to his agent or anyone associated with Brown.

Hurts didn't have to tell Howie to inquire about it...we all know Howie always does this.   Hurts or Howie didn't manipulate Tennessee into not paying Brown.

It's a nice thing they know each other..  didn't help with any of those things involved with getting him here.

Why wouldn’t it be the first thing mentioned about the trade is that we undercut the negotiations with the Titans and AJ? Hmmmm….oh that would be against all the rules. Silly me to consider we wouldn’t openly admit any illegal activity. Of coarse every thing you read is the whole story and the truth. GMs and politicians are always transparent…never lie or manipulate anything.

And $16 mil was way short of market offer.

And Eagles negotiated deal before trade.

And so AJ knew both offers.

And AJ, his agent and Tennessee knew $16 mil was short of market offer.

And Eagles made a market offer.

And any idiot would take the significantly better offer.

And any team like Tennessee would take the picks instead of losing a player to free agency.

What else isn't obvious?

I want 22 mil, team offered me 16,another team offered me 20. Agent-take the money and go play with your friend.it's called negotiating. When you buy a new car do you pay sticker price?

Ham....the offer from Tennessee was $16 mil.   That's below market.  There was no undercutting of anything.  Without the Eagles trade Brown would have

1. played out last year of deal

2.  held out

3. Been traded to another team

He was not signing the deal from Tennessee.  Why is it hard to understand?

No... you want 22... team offers you 16.   You play out last year of deal and become a free agent.

He wasn't signing with Tennessee.   The Eagles came in after that fact.

Why is it hard to comprehend?  Tennessee decided to get the assets the Eagles had to offer.   The only hiccup was if Brown and the Eagles couldn't get a deal done.   But they weren't paying more than their offer.

There were a bunch of WRs not happy going into this offseason.

Deebo and McClaurin signed extensions with their teams... much more than $16 mil per.

Brown was the one who didn't.  That's why the Eagles had an opportunity to trade for him.

The Saints trade gave them even more assets to make the deal. It was perfect for both teams, and just a lovely side thing that Hurts and Brown know each other.  But no business owner spends $100 mil on a suggestion from an employee...especially one who still needs to prove himself.

Tyreek Hill didn’t either

GMs never offer less than their top offer and do that thing called negotiate. Rosie I’m sure tells agents….”id like to get you cheap at 5 mil…..but my top dollar price is 8 mil.” Will you take 5?

Tennessee was in negotiations with Brown for a while.  It wasn't a starting offer.  They realized they were going to lose him.   I'm sure Howie was in touch like he was to SF, Washington, Atlanta and other teams ...  from there it's easy to see things unfold.

But it's hilarious to think Hurts told Howie how to do his job...or Howie telling Tennessee to not pay Brown.

It just sounds like you guys have never had a negotiation before or something. So I’m your minds….this offseason….Rosie says to Hurts agent…”I offer 55 mil a season for seven seasons fully guaranteed.” First offer he makes, right? No GM ever starts negotiating below final offer.

Dude...why do you think Tennessee only made one offer.  Read up bro... 5 minutes...you can take a break from watching film on punter returners from. South West Valley Tech.

But maybe 16 mil was Titans final offer.I can’t say for sure. But I believe they were negotiating and we made it clear we would pay up after missing out on all these other options this year. But it’s against the rules to talk to any player under contract with another team. So you aren’t going to hear Rosie come out and say that’s the brilliant move he played.

Yes you can say for sure...because AJ and the Titans basically said it.  AJ gave the #, Tennessee never denied.  And their statement was it was apparent a deal wasn't going to get done.    You don't say that after one offer.  Come on now...why choose to be ignorant on obvious stuff and yet have to make up stuff?

How are you completely confident that was their final offer? You are so absolutely sure that AJ didn’t walk away from negotiating with them because he already confirmed we would pay up? You show me their GM quoted as their limit was 16 million per for AJ. Then I’ll believe.

It's not against the rules for a team to give permission to a player and another team to talk contract.   To get a good trade package It's pretty much necessary.

Why is it hard to understand?

What s your deal where your world centers around Hurts?  I don't get it?

I want to know if Ham can come up with a theory where it's actually one of the janitors at Nova care that makes the draft picks.

Gotta be some reading between the lines or some theories.

I heard the Men In Black have been involved with the past few drafts. Let me see if I can find the link lol

We talk about NFL contracts all the time. They aren’t ever cut and dry 16 mil per season stuff. 16 mil with easy incentives to 22….because that’s what your team cap needs to write it as and so on. Rosie has almost as much BS numbers as real numbers in his contracts all the time. 16 mil with a 4 mil bonus if he goes over 1,000 yards. Another 3 mil bonus for Pro Bowl. Another3 mil bonus for more than 8 TDs. On and on….because there are so many different ways GM manipulate the cap.

Because I doubt a team makes one offer in April to a pro bowl player.  And then says, that's it.

You follow the league, I know this because of seeing your posts. You knew the WR market blew up this offseason.   Is it so inconceivable that one team wasn't going to pay their guy and takes a good draft haul?

You pretty much had Howie as an @zzhole if he didn't get Deebo from SF.  I mean it was just so easy... yet without Hurts he couldn't get Brown?

Great move by Howie, but it was out of his control, he needed a team in Tennessee's situation that didn't want to pay.  He found it and got a deal done. Good job Howie and staff...so glad employee #1 has a new friend in town, but don't think it would have changed anything,  employee #11 would still be here.

Bills' RB Zack Moss could be interesting. N/S halfback style. Contract is next to nothing and signed thru 2023.

Yes - I'm ignoring the AJ thing. He wanted more, they didn't give it to him, we got him.
