Yes you can say for sure...because AJ and the Titans basically said it.  AJ gave the #, Tennessee never denied.  And their statement was it was apparent a deal wasn't going to get done.    You don't say that after one offer.  Come on now...why choose to be ignorant on obvious stuff and yet have to make up stuff?

Would it be apparent to the Titans a deal couldn’t be done because Rosie made it clear what we’d pay? Why is it so insane to believe we sabotaged their negotiation? That he walked away from negotiations knowing our offer?

How are you completely confident that was their final offer? You are so absolutely sure that AJ didn’t walk away from negotiating with them because he already confirmed we would pay up? You show me their GM quoted as their limit was 16 million per for AJ. Then I’ll believe.

Show me anytime a GM quotes the exact numbers on an offer they made after losing a player.

Come on now... $16 mil plus incentives.   Tennessee didn't want to pay.  Why isn't it obvious when it all makes sense and everyone says so?

It would be apparent to the Titans a deal wasn't going to get done because of the contracts that were being signed throughout the league.

What Howie could have told Tennessee...was that we would offer in a trade, but wanted to get a long term deal done first.   And from there , Eagles could talk to AJ about a trade.

Yes...GM 101...that I believe Howie did.  Didn't need Hurts holding his hand to do it, he's kinda done this before.

What happens if Tennessee offers 30 million... them Brown blows the whistle on the Eagles?

Your fantasy world is great.   But Hurts doesn't manipulate the league.  Things happen without him.   Owners decide to not pay guys all the time.  Otherwise there wouldn't be free agency.

That was fast - after being upset when they traded Quinn to us, Roquan Smith traded to Ravens

Idk why in the case of AJ Brown...it's only about what the Eagles would pay?

The league is paying WRs way more than Tennessee offer.    What sabatoged negotiations were the other WRs getting paid.

You think a player like AJ would jump ship for a few dollars from the team that drafted him... all signs were respect on both sides?

Ohhhhh..   I get it now,  I missed this part ....  it's because it's every players dream to play with Hurts.   That's it.

I missed this part before....now I know why you need to believe the fairy tale.

Too bad they already played the Giants

Brandon Graham, Bernie Parent, Dr. J, and Mike Schmidt all throwing ceremonial balls tonight before the game tonight.

I think Howie did this to Deebo too....it's why the WR market blew up...because they all got calls from Howie telling them he would pay. 🤔

I think with Rodgers coming to an end soon... smart move would be to reload on picks and load up the roster for a run in a few years.

Fields actually played ok with iffy weapons. RB's are "ok" but only 1 WR really. I see them following our model now? A little shocked they would give up their defense, but imagine they want to get alot of players on rook contracts instead of paying out big bucks for their defensive guys since they aren't going to be a threat for few years anyhow

BTW - the DE from OSU who really impressed me is JT Tumoloaut

Stay tuned for "Days of Our Lives"

The nice thing about tonights' NFL game is the Phils are on

The Chicago Bears have unloaded another key defensive player, as linebacker Roquan Smith is reportedly heading to the Baltimore Ravens.

The Bears will be receiving a second- and fifth-round pick from the Ravens, ESPN says.

How many teams were negotiating with the Titans for AJ? Your positive Rosie only talked or negotiated with AJ(or agent) only after Titans gave permission?  But Eagles would talk contract with AJ. They’d talk trade with Titans GM. Talking trade with AJ was exactly my point. Not allowed. Can’t talk to other teams players.

Siri must know the Davis dx by now, just not letting anyone know what it is, just saying he won't play Thurs - duh!

Thing is not I, No Mas or FL know the truth about everything that went down with the AJ trade. So never going to be proof who’s correct. I have nothing concrete to prove my educated guess on how it all went down with what has been said by everyone. I do feel pretty confident I’m hitting on it fairly accurate…but at the end of the day it’s just speculation and theory. What I’m reading into the situation isn’t allowed. So nobody is going to come out and admit what I’m saying. Gotta come with new and better information to convince me otherwise.

I’d think they’d want to place him on IR as soon as possible. If there is any optimistic view of him being back in five weeks. I believe you must remain on IR for at least four weeks.

Like I said contracts are tricky. If your base salary is 16 mil. You get a roster bonus of 2 mil. Workout bonus of 2 mil. Incentives of Pro Bowl 2 mil. Over 1,000 yards 2 mil. Over 8 TDs 2 mil. I’m skipping the signing bonus as that just makes things much more complicated(just for addition purposes).
Is the player getting 16 mil? 20 mil? 26 mil? Much easier in other sports. Would you choose this contract over a straight 20 mil guaranteed? So being educated enough about NFL contracts like we all are here….you can’t even accurately say AJ was offered 16 mil per year. It was likely a complicated contract of four years and whatever million dollars. So much in signing. So much guaranteed. So much in incentives. Then even the incentives you need to balance on how easily they are achievable.

Wonder if us getting Ward back is why? Or maybe Cain saw opportunities and asked to be released. He’s a good player. I see him as a capable NFL player. Ceiling of backup though. Not a terrible loss for us. But I had confidence he could come in a capably play a few snaps. Make a catch or two. Wish him well. Looked real strong this PS.

Don't like losing Cain, guess it's because of Scotts' injury. Bodes well for Allen I guess.
