As of 8am this morning I'm told "it was looking like Green Bay was potentially going to offer the best deal for Chase (Claypool)," per league source. Obviously the #Bears have swooped in and nabbed the #Steelers WR.

Pack trying to help Arod(to no avail)

Pack abandoning ship now I guess. Probably wise. A second for Chase I’d easily pay. But I think Packs issues won’t be fixed by one WR. Team just doesn’t look good. I would have tried to move ARod honestly. Not sure there’s a home for him…maybe Indy.

That will help Fields since he only had 1 WR really. may as well get the re-build started

Think the rebuild should start at QB. Funny how many championed us going after him to upgrade over Hurts. Actually think that was most everyone here but me. 😂🤣

Yeah he's been in the trade convo for quite awhile. Maybe the squeelers will add him?

Nah. They are great at drafting stud WR. Cooks is overrated.

Rogers will be po'd if GB doesn't pick up a WR

They are missing too much. Their D is so disappointing. Time for them to rebuild. They wasted and failed all those years with a top QB. Good lesson for all. It takes more than a cannon arm. Need a leader. Need a team. Need a coach that’s good enough.

AR just seems like a miserable person the past few yrs. In a way can't blame him as they can't build a team in GB. AR shouldn't air his laundry in public, maybe he's been doing it privately for yrs and nothing's been done. Needs a change of scenery or just retire

Great job by Tua convincing Denver not to want to pay Chubb and trading him to Miami instead.  Sabotage baby!!!!

Denver is straight screwed. What can they do. Just desperate. Gave away everything for a washed up QB. Rebuild isn’t even enough of a word for what they gotta do.

Absolutely still fits everything I’ve said. If we assured him we’d pay him and he walked away from negotiations would leave their GM no choice.

He didn't walk away from negotiations.  Tennessee wasn't going over $20 mil.   Why is it hard to understand?  How you choose to bury you head in the sand and be ignorant of what is going on is just beyond belief.  The whole world heard the conversation over a week prior to the draft.   It's what annoyed Deebo, that SF didn't even offer him anything, that was the part you focused on because of your tunnel vision about certain players.  The other part you conveniently skip was the statement that Tennessee knew their offer was below market value, and they communicated this to Brown.

Yes, they were " negotiating " and playing hardball...just like all these other teams do, but when the whole world finds out you aren't going to pay, and it seems the players at that position were unified in their stance on the market value of their position... they were forced to make a choice.  They took the assets that were offered by the Eagles that could be used immediately in the 2022 draft, rather than an unknown with the probability that AJ walks for nothing.

In that case say they tagged him and then traded him after the 2023 drafr... play hardball Ham style...now you get picks for 2024 instead of 2022.

But you go through the soap opera for what.   They took the Eagles deal,  made sense.   Was great for us too.

This was instigated by the fact Tennessee didn't want to pay market value.  Which everyone knows.  They refused to offer more, not Brown.  If you were Brown, why not drive up your price?  You could still not sign, but at least raise the price for yourself and the players at your position around the league...in which it's obvious they all communicated!!!

Hines another good weapon for Bills

???  You are delusional just like Irsay.

I want to know how someone can look at out Eagles roster... not understand they surrounded the QB with top talent... and yet think Indy has a stacked team?

2 years they added nothing to that roster while playing musical QBs?    Just awful!

You mean Reich came into a very good situation and underachieved. Then things have gone down hill. Partly because he championed your boy Wentz you cried about keeping…while whining about Hurts. You and Reich each belong in CFL. You can be his top fan. Go Wranglers!

Don't know what they got for Hines, would've been great for us

Yeah.... definitely don't remember that.  Big discussion I remember was the idea of letting NYG take Smith, and a possible Bears trade with us getting their 1st.

Idk who was big on Fields???   You can mention names, instead of the usual vague stuff you do?

So wait. You posted that Titans GM was deciding to give up negotiations when with AJ? Really proves what I’m saying. Thanks for that info backing me up. We were way involved with AJ before the draft. You even said you thought that.

??? Delusional... the Colts made zero moves in 2 years except flip QBs.  Retired LT.. injured guys etc...clueless

Think he’s tired of GM screwing up his chances. Great opportunity with Mahomes. Don’t screw it up. AR really just hungry for championships. Sure he feels we undercut him too much here.

Well, let's hope Sanders stays healthy for a change

There is some truth in this. Contracts too complicated in the NFL to just say 20 mil per though. You know this. But it jumped from 16 to 20 now. So you are seeing how negotiations work. But can’t possibly envision how their hard ball negotiations could be undercut by say….I don’t know…another team assuring him he’d get more if he forced his way out. There is a case just for market value. I won’t deny any of that. Also realize every team would like a home town discount from guys they believed in and took that chance on. Taking less just helps your team do more. But now you’ve gone from 16 to 20 mil in the negotiations. So no chance the Titans ever go higher?

Just yesterday you were trying to convince me Titans weren’t going over 16. Now at 20. 20 mil per is some real money. How much guaranteed? We’re there easy incentives for AJ to reach for it to be more. Keep coming with these details. We’re they offering an extra year than us? How much in signing?

  • Author

Rosie contracts you’d be a fool to take and say 25 per. We have a potential out written in. Some crazy last year base salary. Only 40 mil guaranteed. Wonder if Titans wouldn’t have offered 40 mil guaranteed? Hate to let actual facts get in the way of your spin here. But already sounded like Titans were getting close.

  • Author

Then let’s look on Rosie side of negotiations. Did he play hard ball? Did he say "hey AJ we’ll just trade for you and I’m sure we’ll work it out.” Nope….not at all. He played very hard ball. Said if we don’t work out a deal by pick 18….no trade. Forced a deal to be made.

Well it’s gone on for years. You were convinced we were looking at QBs in this draft. So just making sure you finally got there. All good. I’m sure you are happy you were wrong. It’s the best when it works out for our team.

And frankly I was beginning to wonder what it would take

Who the EFF said I was convinced??? Putting words in my mouth(yet again for some immature pre pubescent point you are trying to make, and I'm really getting sick of it). Time to come out of puberty and grow up Ham. Noone knew that to expect from Hurts before the season SO KMA if you're going to keep misquoting me.and please tell me what I was wrong about?? GO!!!! Lets' hear THIS NEXT WAVE of BUSSHIT you peddle. I SAID "there are things I need to see from Hurts" that has ALWAYS been what I said. How is that "convinced we need a QB in the draft?" if Hurts sucked to start the year then yeah that could be a possiblity?? If we were 0-7 would that not be a possibility if it was Hurts to blame??? Why is wanting to see some things first transformed into being a Hurts hater by you? Where did I say I hated Hurts?? If Hurts sucked, I said I would like to see Shew because AT THE TIME he was the BETTER PASSER. Love how you twist words then misquote those too

Andrew Luck…heck of a QB. Phillip Rivers played great for them. Carson Wentz was Reich’s call or fault. He probably would have stuck with Wentz also if the owner didn’t supersede. Matt Ryan having his worst season. How stacked was that team he took over. Really only thing to question has been QB. GM drafted some studs for them. All wasted. Results weren’t good enough for me. You only accept the number one offense from us or we stink. What has Reich won? Why you lower the bar so far for him? Pretty funny. Decent coach I respect. Never see him winning the big games and on that level. Champion mediocre…doesn’t work for me. Firing his OC when he runs the O and calls plays is pretty weak. Be a man and take the blame yourself. Embarrassing.

WTF are you talking about now????? Who lowered the bar for anyone?. I sure didn't, I always expect MORE than most and who gives a CRAP about the Colts anyhow? Keep changing QB's with any team and you will never find your groove. SO we should cut Hurts because you know, he played his 1 year, time for a change.get someone new in here, then change again next year and see how far this team goes doing that. Again another of your "pointless non points"

More than a few games vs crap teams last year? Not that the teams we play now are that tough either. Which powerhouse teams do we play from here on out? Which powerthouse teams have we played already? Any SB contenders in here?(maybe the VIkes who we will face again). Which games were won by the defense???

1 hour ago, cunninghamtheman said:

They had a stacked team and didn’t get it done. Seemed like everybody just assumed they were just begging a long window of contending. Reich accomplished nothing. Now who’s lowering the bar. Reich wanted Wentz. Bad mistake. What is it Reich has done that you champion(in Indy)?

What "stacked" team would that be? I'll wait for your definition
