I'm fine with Hurts. Shew had more experience as a starter before this year, and all I said was "I need to see some things from Hurts" So far he has shown me those things and I have no clue how that turned into  a "Hurts hater" or that I was "championing" Shew. I wanted to see some NFL starting qualities. You forget to that I watched Shew play every weekend and I merely needed to see WHY hurts was the better QB. Has zero to do with hate or championing anyone

Sure, you believed in Hurts the whole time. I was defending him against nobody.

Yes, you specifically said you wanted to start Shew over crap one read and run Hurts. But whatever. I’m absolutely fine with differing opinions and discussing. But you get all emotional and then deny what you went on and on about for so long.

To this day I have no idea what we would look like with Shew. Do you??? No you cannot know and yeah I would have liked to seen Shew get some snaps in preseason

"I want 1 more TD per game this year" is that not a GOAL,you cannot understand this?? My bad I didn't STATE it was a goal,I figured any adult would understand that

An adult that understands many different words understands the difference in what you were saying. If you said ‘goal’ I never would have said anything. But sure get mad at me because you misspoke.

Didn't believe nor disbelieve.I just wasn't going to rub his balls for no reason like you. I need to SEE things, not just swallow everything I'm told. Still not getting this are you? Pitiful

SO what else does "1 more TD per game" mean to you????? I said I wanted 32 PPG.Is that not a goal without having to tell you??? Yikes we're back to 2nd grade lol

My goal isn’t to frustrate anybody here. Just like to discuss what’s going on with people who have an understanding of our team. You can differ in your opinion. We can discuss. That’s all I’m here about.

Sure. I’m the one who has been getting it. 32….50 points a game as a goal great. If that’s what you said I’d be fine with whatever.
I wouldn’t have said any of this to you also if you didn’t disbelieve in Hurts.

You just trying to make me out to be the villain because you are denying what you’ve said. Just put your big boy pants on and admit and move forward. All good because our team is doing great.

My pre season goals 1) AVERAGE 32 ppg (we had 25.6 last year that is 1 more TD per game with MUCH better players) 2) Have 2-1000 yard WR's(which we probably won't get because Hurts still ball hogs whether you admit it or not) 3) have a 1,000 yard rusher, again probably not happening because Hurts runs the ball himself most times(so far this is working but post season teams will know how to shut him down)  It was nice to FINALLY see Hurts throwing DOWNFIELD multiple times (again one of the things I needed to see) Problem?

Who said I disbelieved Hurts? Because I wanted him to show me growth from last year??? Again, I refuse to lower the bar. You do what you want

I told you what I said, and I remember what I said, not your twisted BS. I never said I hated Hurts YOU said I said it-WRONG(again)

Sure, we have another easy schedule we should go 17-0. Zero reason not to(barring injury-I need to STATE this because of course that's not OBVIOUS lol). Of course the problems come in post season when we have to play a good team

Why do you need to defend him? His on field play would be his own defense?

Because you were missing all the obvious key points he brings. Rip him to shreds as a 23 year old in pro football and all about the 25 year old finally doing well in college.

Part of why I'm surprised we weren't active today and why I'm not looking at the past;

The Eagles have ten starters on one-year deals or set to hit free agency per Over The Cap.

Screenshot-2022-10-10-8.36.21-AM.png

Jason Kelce is year to year, while Darius Slay only has one year left on his deal. Brandon Graham, Derek Barnett, Jalen Hurts, K’Von Wallace, Rick Lovato, Josiah Scott, Jack Driscoll, Shaun Bradley, and Quez Watkins can all be unrestricted free agents.

Philadelphia certainly needs to spend a first-round pick on a cornerback at some point and potentially add another edge rusher, defensive tackle, linebacker, and safety among the looming needs.

We need to figure out to extend and keep. But very limited by the tight cap space. Need a little this year…in case things happen. But tight going forward. So probably need to rework some things to be able to do so.

Really wish we could keep this team together. Just add to it. But not realistic. Considering Hargave and Fletch in contract years…Dline still priority even after trading up for Big boy. Still not sure what kind of snap count the rook can handle each week. Not seeing him as playing 80 percent of snaps. Milton looking real promising. So assume he’ll continue to step up. Don’t need Barnett to come back. Graham just can’t really keep either. Tuiloputo(however it’s spelled) stepped up this year. He’s a good backup for Davis. But leaves DT and DE light. Both S are in contract years. Epps has earned his payday from us. Gardner-Johnson looks fantastic in Gannon scheme. He’s looking to make bank I think we easily can assume. White at LB playing all the time. Don’t want to see him go.

  • Author

But I’ve been assuming Gannon gets a HC job. So much depends on new DC. Fangio is my first choice. Feels like Gannon trying to run his stuff anyway. So that would be an upgrade. But we are position to go many routes depending on DC. Fangio scheme is the D of this time in the NFL. Like to go right to the source. Plus he already been advising for us…so he’s already extremely knowledgeable about our personnel. Feels like the road already been paved for him.

But losing Gannon is the biggest concern I have with extending guys now. Would like the new DC to have his say and put his footprint on his D. Gardner-Johnson I wish we had resigned right off the bat. Cost us millions more per season now. They were offering him supposedly like 8 mil a season. He might be looking for closer to twenty now. S market blew up. Have to look and see what S available in FA coming up to really judge. But he’s fast and young….making plays big time. Defensive player of the week….but heck he might be still worth it. Guy looks great. I’m a real fan of Epps. He’s solid. Looks real legit as a starter. But he isn’t the elite playmaker Gardner-Johnson turning out to be.

  • Author

Seumalo and Opeta being FA is a tough one. Really can’t afford to lose both. Don’t think either is looking at huge contracts though. Just so many guys….don’t know what happens.

  • Author

Do you let both G go and draft a stud high for Stoutland to develop? Worried Stout won’t be here much longer. So would be wise to give him anything we can.

  • Author

Shew probably gone. Doubt anybody picks him up as starter…but maybe he finds a situation where the starter isn’t nearly as good he believes he had a shot at.

Dillard is just gone. Somebody will try him as a starter.

  • Author

Been feeling like Kelce is gone. His replacement looks ready. We have very little money. So hard to see him returning. Could be a bit awkward if he really wants to continue playing.

  • Author

Hard to say goodbye to Kelce, Graham and Cox. Cornerstone players of this franchise for years. Fletch still playing great. The only one possible to keep. Be great if he came back on the cheap. The market says he can get 16 mil probably though. So real tough for us to swing that. Too many young players to invest in that can help us into the future.

Maybe we offer him $15 mil... but his friend on another team tells his GM to offer $20?   We could be sabatoged there?

He’s a FA. So GM can straight talk to him. He’s not stuck dealing with his team being under contract. See the difference?

But we do know we got him because….surprise their GM was trying to play hard ball on his contract. Wanted to classify him as a slot corner. That’s more 8 mil territory. So we promised to call him S. Now he’s climbing towards 20.
