Like... win the division should be the goal before the season.

Looking at the season halfway through.  Winning the division means being better than Dallas and NY.

So winning the division but not having the 1seed would mean that there are other teams in the NFC outside the division that would need to finish higher.

Which teams do you see doing that at this point.

Minnesota is closest and we have tiebreaker.  Do we think Minnesota finishes with better record than Dallas?  Seattle? 3 loses already.  Atlanta 4 losses.

So in reality winning the division should mean the 1 seed.

But even losing 3... that should be top seed.

Yeah,I would be disappointed if we lost 3. That would be inexcusable to me. I'm sure we will have a bad game,it happens, where nothing works, but should not be more than 1

So I'm going on a limb here...lol

Either Minnesota or the NFC East winner will be the top seed in the NFC.

Right now I see one team as the favorite.  It would be a fail at this point if this team doesn't get the 1 seed.  They should get it.

True, but really we should not have gone down vs them to start with

Vikes game was really impressive to me. IDK why they made no adjustments(that I could see). Pretty weird that one

IDK, I give the upper hand to Pederson's familiarness for the beginning of the game. I'll give the adjustments and clock management to Siri and company.

Good analysis bro. I would agree with that

Break down the schedule...  game by game... if you think this team is as solid as Ham thinks.  The QB has the intangibles.   There should be no way you see only 5-4.   5-4 from this point is 13-4.   Dallas is 6-2.  They need to go 7-2 to get to 13-4.

Minnesota has to go 8-2 to go 14-3... that's if we go 5-4, because we have tiebreaker.

Seattle would have to go 8-1

Atlanta would have to go 9-0

I'm trying to show how difficult it will be for other teams to pass us.

I'll give a bad decision by Hurts and a lucky bounce that gave a pick 6 to start. One drive by Jax.  Idk if it's Doug there???

No see....there is an obvious difference.

I have a shot to win the lottery.  I have a shot to wake up tomorrow morning.

There is a difference there.

Going undefeated...ehh that's a " shot" a chance, not really probable.

It's very probable that we get the top seed.

Any one with common sense knows there is a difference there.

Of coarse there is a difference. But both are still a long way off. Not even half way through the season….but oh no….I don’t have us locked into the top seed. How dare I? Don’t even have us locked into a home playoff game yet either. Oh no. We’re making the playoffs I’ll go ahead and assume.

Ok...we win the division.  The best division in football.   What seed should that make us?

If we win the division I’m thinking we are higher than a four seed.

This team reminds me of some of the New England teams of recent years.

And there is nothing wrong with that.  They do their jobs and win when they should.   I think it's refreshing.

The coaching and the clock management is good. The QB takes care of the ball.

In years without an elite level AFC team New England always came out of the AFC.    I don't see why the Eagles can't do the same...and why it's an insult to them if the rest of the conference isn't up to par?

I don't see New England giving back any SB or AFC titles back?   It is what it is, you play in the present.  You don't play against the 85 Bears or any other past teams.

The Eagles are doing what they have to do in the moment. That's all they can do. Keep it rolling into the #1 seed.

Why does it need to be a lock?  It's a probability, that they should achieve.

Only down 14-0 though. If we go down 21-0 and win FL will move the bar to 22.

Who you think would be the #1 seed if we win the division?  Which NFC team you see finish higher than Dallas?

I'm good without getting behind.

We are 29th against the run and 31st in tackling. Thank goodness our offense gives us the lead. These are huge warning sign areas.

The only possibility of us winning the division and not being top seed is if Minnesota picks up 2 games on us at this point.

It's great you stick to August goals.  Doesn't mean you need to bury your head in the sand to do the math and look at the schedule.

Would you be happy with a 5-4 finish?  That math is 13-4.  That beats every other NFC team ...outside of Minnesota, Dallas and NY.  So winning the division pretty much guarantees a 2 seed. Only leaves Minnesota.

I know it's only halfway through the season....but this is the math.  They may actually clinch a playoff spot Thanksgiving weekend.   It's a 4 team race for the top seed.  NY should be the underdog and we beat the other 2.

Yes it's early.. but it's the math due to the unexpected poor starts from the rest of the NFC.

What are we in points against?

11 of the other 15 NFC teams already have 4 losses.

Seattle has 3.

It's an odd situation to have this big of a lead on so many teams.

And we can have tunnel vision on just staying ahead of Dallas and NY... so that winning the division gives us a top 2 seed.

Minnesota has a tough schedule the next few weeks after Washington.

Thanksgiving NYG plays at Dallas.  In reality we could be looking at almost locking up #1 seed in just 3 weeks.

Where were we ranked prior to this week?   Where those stats led to a whopping 17 points?

How many yards per game are we behind the say the 16th ranked rushing D?

Little bit of the Dream Team thinking here. Our D looks real good with the lead. Set up nicely against the pass. Just can’t remember many teams that bad against the run or tackling that were super successful.

Hopefully fixable. Gardner-Johnson I cut sone slack for earlier in the season. Getting here so late I could give excuses. But he might just be an awful tackler. Tough being a S. He’s making the big plays at least.

Not quite sure how to all feel about that. Definitely feel it’s a big part of the S job to tackle. Last line of defense and all.

??   I mean the game starts 0-0?   Shouldn't a game be close for most of it?   12 points in the NFL is like 35 in college.   Idk ..probably more like 40?

They were 7-0 down, they were tied 14-14 at the half. They were 21-17 up at one point. I'm not quite sure what you aren't getting really.

we were 0-14 against jax. That not good enough?

Really if you just go back to last season you see teams kill our D. This really concerns me. Gannon so focused on not allowing the big play. He has much better personnel now. But short passes and runs are the way to just kill us with a thousand jabs. It’s just still available. Every team will figure this out. We can’t stop the run. We don’t get up a press most of the time in coverage. We are terrible at tackling. Why wouldn’t you just keep handing off and throwing short passes? We’ll miss the tackle. Doing this keeps our O off the field is the other downside. Let’s them control the clock. Our O will get cold. I don’t want to get super negative. Real happy with this start to the season.

If he's the MVP they won't get into that situation in the first place.

They’re still trying to figure out if he’s a legit starting QB.
