Jim Schwartz says Nathan Gerry is a solid player and has helped the Eagles win a lot of games. He says that Gerry might look responsible for some bad plays he isn’t actually at fault for.

Sooooo Gerry isn’t going anywhere anytime soon as a starter

Jim Schwartz says Alex Singleton’s interception wasn’t his best play on defense. Notes that Mills had great coverage on that play and thought the CB might actually pick it off. Says Singleton made plays in the run game that were even better than the pick six. #Eagles

Lord help us, he looks nowhere near the playmaker he was showing flashes of last year.

Could at least be a sign that Singletary could get more looks replacing Riley

BTW - Welcome to this list Boondocker. Many of us are from the now defunct Eagles boards. Several live or used to live in FL as well

Jim Schwartz talking about Nate Gerry cautions that there are times the LB is around a play but it was because he just happened to be closest after someone else made a mistake
Jim Schwartz says it was a "really unselfish" thing for Jalen Mills to do by moving to cornerback. Says when the team was in need, and they asked Mills to move, there was never a hesitation

Wish we had an OL like that instead of crying for more money to play poorly then go to IR

It’s a shame we couldn’t have kept Jordan Howard he is just wasting away in Miami they don’t even use him

Exactly what I’m saying, I loved Howard in that role, he’s a beast #2

I think Singleton should start and Taylor replace Riley

Don't believe Schwartz develops LB's or plays them to their best abilities

They like Riley's ST's ability

Who has in the last 20 years in Philly?

we had Hendricks & Hicks who were good & let em go for no reason.

Hicks had injury probs

Ya, til he got to Arizona and had a great year. Our usual luck

I think Singleton is going to get a lot more playing time this week. Pittsburgh can run the ball and he's our best run-stopping linebacker with Edwards out. In the 49ers game, there were a few times he looked somewhat lost, but I think that was a function of getting thrown into the fire and the nature of the 49ers offense.

Pittsburgh runs a much more straightforward attack. They depend on their guys being better than your guys, rather the trying to outscheme you. So I think Singleton is a much better option than Riley in that scenario.

Where’s that big ole running back from cincy? Still on the practice squad?

I think Warren was released.I mentioned we could look at a RB in draft round 2.There are 4 RB's that could make impacts right away

how can anyone watch Wentz not call this man athletic and mobile lol 😂

Most times he runs because he HAS to.Stepping out of the pocket most NFL QB's can do. No comparison to Fran Tarkenton lol. I'm glad he is athletic enough to escape and can make some yards out of it.Still I call him athletic, not mobile.Just my honest view.He is fairly talented at throwing on the run(until this year).Running is what got him hurt twice,I'd rather NOT see it

Running got him hurt once unless you want to take the cheap shot to the back of the head by clowney he could have gotten sack for that....

Also no not a ton of NFL QBs are that mobile like Wentz.... And mobile and scrambling QBs are different I never stated Wentz is a scrambler like Lamar or Vick but he is mobile like Mahomes and Rodgers.... Far cry from guys like Brady and Manning hell even Matty ice and Flacco etc.

He's no mahomes or Jackson,or even Wilson. He is on par with Rodgers in my view, but they prefer pocket passing to running. We got HURTS because is IS mobile.Love Wentz, but that is my opinion of him

Your right he is more athletic then Mahomes he just doesn’t look as fast because he is 6’5 240 not 6’2.... I never said Wentz was Lamar though who is a SCRAMBLER

Next nobody is in Lamars realm.... and Wilson is vastly more athletic and mobile the Mahomes

This was an interesting tweet.

I was made at Sweat and Graham for failing to contain reverses in the Rams and 49ers games, and it turns out I was wrong about that. But it's a pretty big flaw in our defense as Seth Joyner pointed out in the responses, and it's why we get burned on them all the time. The CB on the opposite side has contain, who is often blocked by a receiver. It seems like giving a LB that responsibility would be better, but who knows.

Off topic, made a deal on a new(old) toy today Pretty tough to find these 58k miles(and I stole it HAHA)

'70 AMC Javey?

Really sounding like Alshon could play this week... Would be huge I think for a Wentz to get someone back that he knows fairly well and can trust over PS guys and rookies he is stilling learning.
