You also realize that many of those takeaways are interceptions that happen with us in the lead forcing the other team to throw?

Yeah, just totally forget we have the talent back in the secondary to do it. It's HURTS willing the ball into our defenders hands

Strength of schedule has been proven to that is doesn't matter....it is talking point nonsense. There's so many things it doesn't take into account......means nothing.

The NFL is long season......some teams start off bad for any number of reasons, but gradually improve during the year....they may have new coaches and it takes game time to fully implement new systems, some teams have alot of new faces that get better in those systems during the year and young guys may get in the flow as the year goes on.

Some teams start off with some wins, but may gradually fade due to injuries, overconfidence, poor coaching......

So some teams that are fighting for playoff spots might not have good records, but are still in playoff races.  Superior teams don't always beat the inferior teams in the NFL.....it's where the "any given sunday" term comes from..........there are no easy schedules in the NFL.....the week to week games, whether they are divisional games, national TV games, or fighting for a playoff spot, can be tough games where predictions go out the window.

Strength of schedule is a bad measure of anything.  Thinking the eagles can go 17-0 is a longshot.  Those games against the giants, cowpies and the titans are going to be tough games.  And what if the packers finally wake up?  The saints, as bad as they look, are capable of putting together a good game..

I think the eagles are the best team in the NFC....with the most complete depth......but every team has weaknesses that other NFL teams can take advantage of and strength of schedule takes none of that into consideration.

You're a boxer. Do you want 5 fights against Klitscko or my grandmother? Since It doesn't matter I will call Vlad for you now. GL going 5-0

Josh Allen being evaluated for an elbow injury.

If he goes out the Bills are done.

Good timing playing Minnesota this week.

yes, this is why we are 8-0? Because we played worse teams than us(aka strength of schedule???)

What do I need to call.  We discuss football here.

IDK call something. I think next Monday either us or the Wuss will win. I know I'm sticking my neck out here

I guess the Vegas odds makers are in serious trouble then, they can't predict squat

Think we will see a Vikes re-match

Time of possession is a team stat, takes BOTH sides of the ball to win that.

Turnover difference...takes BOTH sides.

Playing with a lead....takes BOTH sides...you need to score and stop the other team to get that lead.

If we forced Turnovers because teams had to pass... a big part of that is our defense playing well early in games.

Newsflash...we have a good defense.

Exactly. With the plus turnover ratio from this solid D, it works out to the O has been getting like 2 extra possessions every game. Hard to beat that.

Yes..and our O not giving the ball back also helps.  Team game.  Playing with the lead is a team thing.

That's why absolutely dumb to build a defense to play with a lead, when you need to stop a team to get that lead.

This is nothing close to a Dream Team Eagles defense... and it's nothing close to being ONLY the offense being the reason they are 8-0.

But it assists Hurts stat wise getting 2 more possessions per game

Everything around the game of football is designed to ether help or hurt the QBs.

Protection vs pass rush...  receivers vs coverage.

All 4 of these areas the Eagles good.

Sure, just saying you can pad any QB's stats if they get 2 more possessions per game

You can pad stats with great WRs, great protection...etc.  All of it helps.

How many predicted the eagles were going to the super bowl? or winning the NFC or the NFCEast in preseason?  They had the "strength of schedule" nonsense to refer to......

None.

Your just denying the advantage it is to make the opponent predictable and one sided.

https://scores.nbcsports.com/fb/leaders.asp?type=Receiving&range=NFL&rank=231  Ham, no turnovers because it's 4 yard passes and 10.1 YAC. Goedert 4th, AJ 12th.

I love YAC! Whole goal is to hit the receiver in stride…so he can run. He just had those four TDs over thirty yards in a game as well. Done it every way.

An accurate ball allows YAC. How many yards do the guys pick up after catching the bad passes?
