That isn’t saying anything really lol.... He was placed on short term IR earliest game he can return is next week vs the Ravens... But I have not seen or heard anything on his injury other then it’s a knee injury and he will miss some time...

Pederson said he will be out longer than the three week minimum.

So little more then 3 weeks does that mean week 7, 8 week 10..... Idk still think 10 OL is to many think that roster spot could be used for something else personal opinion though I guess...

I think 6 DEs are more essential then 10 OL

Even on game days we generally only dress 8 OL

I'd say draft a WR and, if possible, bring in a decent veteran FA just to help the young guys.

Alshon and Dajx are here now.Ward and Fulgham are not newbies. I think they have the "vet experience".We are over cap we need to save loot not pay more vet pine riders IMO

I would love for us not to have to draft a WR love to see guys like Hightower and Watkins take the next steps along with Reagor would still have Ward

JJaw(I’m not expecting anything from him but he is on roster)Goodwin and another vet for competition to round out the roster and the PS guys Fulgham, Burnett.

No you need to keep drafting them to start a pipeline which we always fail to do.Gotta keep the fresh blood flowing before you need a total transfusion

My top needs in the next draft as of right now(#s not draft rounds just priority order)

1.DL- it’s the engine that makes our D go and our guys are old

2. LB- if i thought we would take a LB round 1 I might made this top priority but just unlikely but still an area that needs addressed

3rd TE- I just foresee Ertz staying we have Geodart and that’s it Rodgers isn’t some youngster either.

4th- CB/OL- these kinda odd think they could be alright or they could be a pressing need...so these two could go up or down my priority list

5th- RB- need to someone to really round out our 3 headed monster that bigger tough yardage guy likely get mid/late rounds

There are LB's next draft.Still I think Parsons is in a different class than the rest(and I'm not a LB guy) and since he is a "homer" I would take my shot at an impact player who can start day ONE.DL definitely.I just have them reversed.we have 2-5ths and 4 -6ths .I would parlay as many of those as possible to move into round 4 and although it's "unlikely" if Parsons is there and we pass,we need to move the scouting staff to Pluto

Brent Toth T took Killins spot claimed him off waivers from AZ.....

I still don’t understand the obsession with so many OL do we really need 10 OL on the 53 and how we many on PS.... Still have JP on IR who can come back in 3 weeks also have Semaulo on IR though I’m not sure what his injury is/was and when he can realistically return.

Yeah IDK,we are stocking up on 3rd and 4th stringers lol.Apparently we don't even trust our own S&D crew(I don;t either)

We actually scouted and developed Toth and he was snagged from us. So we are just getting our own guy back.

I think for them to use roster spaces on Opeta, Juriga and Toth, they must like what they see in those guys, so i am happy trusting Stoutland, considering our backups are playing better than the starters on other teams.

This isn’t my draft order just my priority order on needs I haven’t looked at players to know how I’d draft.

I might not like a DL in round 1 I’m not going to say draft a DL because it’s #1 on my list of priorities if I think there is an impact player at a different position like LB or possibly Cb etc.

Yeah,I just wish we could put the same guys on the field every week.it's a stupid dream I have about consistent play lol

I disagree if we take fliers on guys late fine whatever but to start a pipeline you just have to be able to develop players that simple....

When I look at Pitt and Gb they are not drafting WRs high year in and year out to start a pipeline they are just developing guys Lizard GB was an UDFA and was killing it before injuries, AB was a 6th rounder before he went crazy

If some of the young guys pan out (Mailata, Hightower, Reagor, Herbig) then I could see the team drafting defense with their first four or five picks next year.

I wouldn't be too worried about which positions they drafted, as I see a need for young talent on the defense across the board.

yeah I just like the idea and attitude Parsons has and it would be nice for us to have that "backstop" to where one side could be more unleashed to pass rush knowing someone has their back at LB

Well we seemed to develop Ward, but that took awhile,so I have NP drafting a WR every draft. We are NOT developing Jjaw because apparently we misjudged his talent

I would because as long as we have Schwartz the DL is key...... If we don’t have a very good DL the D will crumble.

My round 3 WR is Terrance Marshall.I would have zero problem drafting him

GB can develop WR's we take longer to do it.Likewise we are better at developing TE's than they are, although they lucked on a good one this year lol

Since we have no 4th I would be fine taking a WR in 3.We just need someone(anyone?) to stay on the field for more than 3 weeks lol.Difficult to know what we have from practices

Even if he is drafted and has to sit for 4 years as a backup because we have 4 other guys ahead of him???? Not saying that would happen but always possible...

Why I want to see what Hightower/Reagor/ Watkins can do before I make a claim at WR....And Ward think is great in a backup role think goal should be to improve on him.

Also still have Fulgham like to see how he progresses and though super unlikely maybe something click with JJAW before seasons end.

We have lots of bodies at WR

So one of those go out(or more than 1) who else you got? Remember Alshon and Djax probably wont be here next year

IDK Reagor and Hightower didn't sit for 4 years,so I dont understand your point. If you get a talented player you play them if he's the best option

Goodwin, Fulgham, Burnett, JJaw, Ward, Watkins, Hightower, Reagor.... Idk I have until seasons end to see how these younger guys do if by then I’m not impressed then mmm yea might I’d consider WR but right now not on my radar

That is my point what if he is drafted and isn’t more talented then the guys we have in front him him???? And he just sits as a backup his 4 years here and leaves. It be a wasted 3rd rounder in my eyes

I think the wr picture looks like this. Fulgham and JJAW at the X, Hightower and Ward and the Y and Reagor and Watkins at the Z (I think Z will end up being his best position.) Burnett can play all three.

We know what Ward's floor/ceiling are. Burnett also is what he is at this point. JJAW seems like a backup who is trending downward, but let's see how he does the rest of the year. Reagor, if healthy, is going to be on the field for the next few years. I like the early returns on Fulgham and Hightower. Watkins is an unknown.

By the end of this season we should know what we have in all the receivers. I don't think the question is whether or not we need to add to the position, but whether we have enough talent to switch from primarily a 12 offense to an 11 offense, or, in more simple terms, whether Ertz has a future with the team.

Here's the latest injury report.

McLeod said he's going to play and I am sure Lane will be out there. DJax and Alshon seem to be the biggest mysteries heading into the week. I imagine the team will be very coy about that to keep the Steelers guessing.
