Dullaz LOST and still put up 30 points. 24 from us won't cut it, so really as a team we have not been tested(still can't explain the VIkes game lol)

Yes, we don't allow the other team to test us.  We get leads and limit opportunities.   Gotten us to 8-0 so far. Time to finish up getting the division and then keep in front of Minnesota.

We were winning by 12....game was coming to an end.  It wasn't close.  They didn't need the INT, an incomplete pass was good enough there.

Also...  do you think part of the reason we put our opponents in position to turnover the ball...is because we limit their possessions by managing the clock the right way?

When they know their chances are limited, they force things...then turnovers happen.

SO without the INT and they scored instead we lead by 6 with 3 minutes to go. And a previous 3 and out,so no chance we could have lost that one with 3 mins left after they appeared to have figured out how to stop us?

Tonight different team than we faced before, Dullaz with Dak is still better than Rush. They put up 30 points and lost. If we put up 24 and are fine with that we will lose that game

Yes,we just differ on the time frame. I don't want to see the stalling begin in the 3rd 1/4.You seem fine with it, but vs better teams, that's not going to work. It's worked to this point because the defense has stopped any comeback attempts. Once they do that 2-3 times per game,it's not hard to play stall ball. SO asking again if the ratio was -3 and not +16 are we still 8-0? I am doubtful

I don't think it's stalling.  I think it's managing the time.  The scoring part...like when we miss a 3rd down play or miss a FG..  that is totally unrelated to the clock.

Much like we manage the cap well to where we get multiple shots after bad drafts and signings...  we manage the clock well to where we don't have to come up with points and still limit the opponent's chances.

Correct the "limit opportunities" comes from the +16 TOR. Not hard to understand

Why do they score without the INT.  The ball could have sailed incomplete.   Then what... you guarantee they score after that?     The INT sealed the deal... without that, they still had an uphill battle.

I'm fine with eating up the clock, what I am not fine with is lack of scoring when we do it. We need to make them pay for turnovers even if it's a FG

The 16 plus turnovers come from teams forcing the plays... as you say... not hard to understand.

Let me ask... were you watching the Houston game ...or the arrow on the fantasy tracker?  There is a difference there in seeing what was going on.  That INT wasn't necessary.

Uphill battle still means they are in the game yes? Why give them any chance at all???

I don't get the games here. I did watch the re-run. if they had scored there they are still in the game with 3 minutes left. If they scored and got a 3 and out off us,they have a chance to win

So again... it's 2 different things.    The pace of play and whether or not you score.   While we use the clock, we also limit our own possessions.

Never said don't score.  Just said take your time so either way it benefits us.

Right...kill the clock to eliminate the chance.  I agree.

We just disagree that you think scoring and using clock are the same.   Or that the Eagles are forfeiting their chance to score.  I don't.

OK then I am unhappy we don't score when we eat the clock, better?. If we have this tremendous offense(we still don't know) then why can't we put up the 32 per game? We won last game because we got the chains moved ONCE after they shut us down the previous series. I'm glad we won,but it should not have been that close IMO,so we agree to disagree when the ball stall should occur

Buffalo lost 2 games managing the clock wrong.  But are you saying they did it right because they tried to scor and we didn't?

I disagree... clock comes first... take your time moving the ball.  Scoring comes with execution at the end.

Yeah we can also agree when we play better teams this will cause us to get burned and lose because they will force 3 and outs on our side

Sure... that's great.   I want to win 70-0 every game.   My point remains, I give prop to our coaching for managing the games in a way where it has helped tremendously in not giving our opponents an opportunity to take a 4th Quaerter lead in 8 games.

The 4th down call I didn't like. Siri does that all the time too. if you can't execute it that's another topic. So far we are good at it,but vs better teams calling a 4th and 4 won't work

We can agree that we won't get 3 score leads in the first place.  So we won't be having this discussion.

My point remains we play teams with little offensive skill. That is going to change

The 3rd down call was a pass..wasted no time.  40 seconds off and a FG works there.  While it's conservative ... it works in managing the game.

Hard to know. So we agree that we really have NOT been tested yet which I said before

yeah I agree they should have taken the 3 there. That is what we need to do when we face a GOOD offense

Right,  so getting 3 TD leads will be difficult in the 1st place.

But I'll take up 12 approaching the  2 minute warming with opponent having to force a bad throw from the 30... because they can't dink and dunk at that point.

Forcing the INT that you mentioned...because we left them no clock.

And they should have run to kill off 40 seconds.  That's a key element there.

Bad execution at the GL. There were 3 mins left. A score there changes to whole complexion of the game

They weren't at the goal line???

Agreed
