One game. Did we play well? No. But take away the turnovers or just one of them and we probably escape with a win. Washington was really up for this game. Like it was their super bowl. See how they celebrated on the sidelines? Who on here would have been upset if I told you that we would be 8-1 after week 10? So let's move on to next week and figure out the Colts.

I disagree with the Hurts did not show leadership posts. I also did not mind that long INT in the first half. 8 times out of 10 AJ catches that ball....

Hurts threw into double coverage but otherwise it was a great throw. At worst it should have been an incomplete.

agreed. I do not want to discourage that type of aggressiveness. AJ Brown is great at protecting the ball even when he cannot make the catch.

You can disagree, but tell me when he had the option to run instead of throwing into coverage why didn't he? That's the strongest part of this game? It'was 1 read and throw, covered or not covered,he just went with the 1 read and let it fly. Gotta put blame on the receivers for the drops and fumbles also. He did a few multiple reads in the second 1/2,so why was he afraid to utilize his best asset and take off???? Forcing throws into coverage instead of getting a few yards running(which he normally does)

AB-7 yards-SEVEN. At least that was better than Adams last week with THREE. Just a crap performance on offense and a "vaunted" D that can't stop the run without ONE GUY. This was the same team that totally SHUT DOWN the VIkes????? (and I don't believe Davis played that many snaps that game as we were working him in, (I will check if you want me to). It was a nice wake up call that we aren't as good as we think. The '72 Fins are happy though

OMG! The Eagles SUCK! They lost to the Washington Commanders! Lets throw in the towel! They have no chance now!

LOL- Everyone over reacts to one game as it is the end of the world. Why can't hurts have a bad day? Why can't the DC call a bad game? Are they immune to making mistakes? No us armchair QB's can fix the problem! We know how they can improve and why can't the team see it?

OMG take a freaking break! IT was one game. Let it go......

I believe the next game will give us some insight of who these Eagles are.

The D has to be embarrassed and i expect a MUCH better effort from them. If not, there's trouble in paradise.

The int was a great play be the defender and the fumble by Watkins was a great hustle play by the defender.

I'm not gonna talk about the Goedert fumble because the bored doesn't allow those words

I mean, really the defender initially missed it.  It hit AJ in the hands after the defender missed it.   I think if it was thrown a little in front instead of to the side of the safety help he would have come up with it.   That's a difficult catch after the defender gets in your way.

But I have no issue with the decision to throw it, regardless of double coverage.  He trusted his throw and his WR.   We see enough of the 3 yard passes.

I thought Hurts was fine....one play towards the end I thought he could have stayed in the pocket longer before he took off and got sacked.  But with that running ability it's going to be hard for him to make that decision to stay.

This game was all about letting their QB off the hook.  A team that stops their running game is going to crush them

Something to ponder: Last 4 SB champions had at least three losses on this date. We have 1 but some feel the world is crashing down on us.... LOL

So just ignore it? That's the answer? How can everyone,at every position, have a bad game at the same time? Let that go? OK, I hope Siri doesn't have this attitude

IDK hard for me to fathom totally shutting down the Vikes and letting a mediocre team kick our ass all over the field AT HOME. I said earlier we will have a game where nothing clicks, this was it. Those +16 TO ratio numbers matter now????

Washington ran and ran... Vikings like to throw. We had Davis then...Doesn't matter his snap count, if he plays early downs vs the run he changes the game

I know but we weren't THAT bad before we got him and we totally shut out JJ and Theilen along with Cook

If Washington has a 16 play drive.. at any point in there if Davis plays a 1st and 2nd down and helps force a 3rd and long... then comes out for the fresh pass rusher...that totally changes things, as compared to the other guys not getting rest and having to play 3rd and short!  Totally different.

That's why you draft a " run stuffer"

Yeah... they were not great and a year older on the DL.   He makes a difference,  stopping the run and keeping the pass rush fresh.    We stop the run and force that joke of a QB to throw it would have been a blowout.  Everything they did was based off of thr run

Vikes game wasn't a year ago and Davis was used sparingly in that game, and Cook arguably a much better RB, but agree if you have to rely on ONE guy we're in trouble. I already figured we would re-build the lines in this next draft, but I seriously wasn't aware we were THAT bad before Davis Now I know, and the die has been cast on how to beat us and the remaining teams all have decent RB's

Ok....I'll go slow.

1. The Vikes like to pass.  Washington just kept running.  Right there it helps when teams like to pass on us.

2.   Davis playing a few key snaps .. on early run downs, can be a huge factor in forcing teams in 3rd and long. Which are passing downs.

3.  Our DL is old.  Davis playing a few snaps mixed in on run downs, can keep the other guys fresh and then they come in and rush the passer.

You follow where all these factors make a difference?

And btw... it didn't have to be " that bad" without Davis when he was playing and just not on the field...he was still providing some rest for the other guys while also playing well vs the run.

You take him out, you not only lose him to help on the plays he is in...but also miss the rest he provides for his older teammates... who are better pass rushers than run stuffers.

But that S we let go...... lol. I was also concerned that we don't have the pass rush we used to. Davis is fast,I suspect he will get into that as he grows as a lineman

Basically... it should be obvious that drafting a " run stuffer " has a huge impact on a defense.   The rest he brings in pass rush can be just a bonus.  He still has huge impact without that part.

Dream Team problem #1... in order to rush the passer, you need to take the offense out of situations where they can run.

You see the last 2 games where it's an issue without Davis.

Well.... getting run on can sure slow down your pass rush.

Both true, I guess I wasn't aware of how bad we really were on the D line

https://www.profootballnetwork.com/siaki-ika-dt-baylor-nfl-draft-scouting-report-2023/  Being compared to Davis and right now ranked 35(concensus) so he would be right around where our 2nd 1 would be. Murph at edge and him as another DT would bolster that D line nicely. I'm wondering how many secondary players we can re-sign. I hope there are a few(always a sore spot) and we may need to find a RT to replace lane. As of now we only have 4 picks really as the 2 7's don't mean much

Davis looks like a good pick

Only you would say this at this time. Not because he’s actually out there earning his trade up early draft pick position.
