Vikings are 8-2.

They scored 229 points

They have given up 231 points.

Very odd

When they lose, they don't mess around they really stink the place up LOL. We beat them badly and they lost today by a wide margin

Howie Roseman assessment.

1.  It's apparent that recently he sees an issue and then looks to address it . Drafting run stuffer, and getting #1 WR.  Plus filling in #2 CB and S ...and decent LBs... very nicely done before start of the season.  Suh and Joseph , see a need and quickly fill it.    All great for 2022.

2.  Going forward is a huge retooling.   A lot of changes need to be addressed on BOTH lines.  It's going to be having to make the right long term decisions.  Much different than just plugging in a hole.   So kudos for 2022... but the most important offseason of his tenure is coming up IMO

My thoughts are DE,DT,ROT and a D back. Any order. Not too worried about RB,since we don't use the ones we have anyhow 🙄

Sure, take the W"s.Just pointing out reality, not handing out poms poms from my car trunk or strapping on blinders. I can be a fan and still say we're nowhere near our potential and we're going to face another "last year's" rude awakening in the playoffs if we can get this machine working

Right... we can hash all the different issues every week why the team didn't play perfect.   The goal is to score 1 more point than the opponent.  Get through the regular season with the best playoff positioning.   Hopefully with some momentum heading into the playoffs.

Well we finally got the O talent at the skill positions in we needed(and why this frustrates me but seems fine to everyone else), after alot of screw ups, bad drafts, coddling 2nd rate players etc. last 2 drafts and off season Howie has done a terrific job. yeah more work to do. Only a few high picks this time, they all need to be good again. Nice draft for linemen,so we should be able to get what we need

There is free agency that is also a key component.  I know you obsess about the draft ...but there is more to it than just  4 moves.

Agreed. I keep saying we need to fire up this offense. There is so much potential that is unused. Maybe Goedert being out is a blessing, because we need to use the other assets we drafted and paid for. I mean last week AJ had 7 yards. It's hard for me to buy he was shut down all game long and if we can't plan around him and Smith we're not going anywhere

And were fortunate in a few of those wins too.

yes I know you would mention this. I merely point to the draft because that is your long term future. I'm happy we have Aj signed for 3 more years. Hopefully if we can get to post season and get a win or 2 we can get other players that want to play here. Kazir White seems like a solid snag also and Dean should be ready to go at 100% later this year or next year,so we have alot of up and comers

I like luck, but would prefer to win on skill. So we had a bad game most teams have one. i really expected to do alot better today after last week,it was disappointing

Suddenly, the next 3 don't seem as easy as we thought. Bears played us tough last 2 years too, then the war vs Dullaz,so our SOS got alot tougher since we aren't showing prowess. We'll see if they can get this together

Which NFL team do you see firing on all cylinders all season long?  Every team is saying the same thing.    It's not college...you don't get any bonus for beating teams by more points.   It is what it is.   You can worry about it.  My issue will continue to be... I want to see what happens in the playoffs with a running QB.    Today Hurts won with his legs.  In the playoffs, so far teams don't allow QBs to do that.   There is no tomorrow in that situation,  Indy has 6 more games ... in January I don't see wide open run lanes with defenses if that will be the end of their season.   We can score 40 per game from here on out... that doesn't matter come playoff time. Ask Baltimore fans.

Last week I was expecting him to run and he didn't,so IDK what's up there,it was very weird. The attempt at league parity is working, there will never be another dynasty. Miami doing great with Tua if they can keep him upright. They will be a team to reckon with. Bills looked tough until the Allen injury. So staying healthy has it's bonuses

AJ for 4 more years.  Because draft is absolutely the #1 method to build long term... I'm not focused with tunnel vision on positions like you are..   free agency and trades can also bring in the right players long term.    You get your DB and DT in free agency ....maybe you change your draft ideas.    I see holes that if done correctly will most likely take a few offseasons to build correctly.  One step at a time.  This will be what we judge Howie on in a few years.   Watch how fast the sizzle of 2022 can go away once we get to March

My point is,despite the wins,we are struggling vs some pretty bad teams. it's only going to get harder now

Whatever works lol

I'm not just starry eyed like Ham. We still need alot of work. Hurts improved, but I'm not blind to the fact he still has a ways to go (MVP or no MVP). AJ,Smith,Quez,Goedert should all be keepers. I like Pascal,he can play similar to what Pitts does as  TE/WR. I hope another TE 2 emerges in the next 3 weeks, that would be nice to see

Idk... again...who is doing better?   It’s all relative.   But we differ because you think Houston was close..  QB throws a bad long pass that gets picked near the goal line ...down 12 with just over 2 minutes and you think it's close..I see a comfortable win.

So they went on the road and won by a point.  It is what it is.  One WI that was close.  At least we have a come from behind win now.    That's also progress.

I think for some reason you won't be ok the rest of the season. You will fund something wrong... yet your boys from Minnesota get lucky multiple weeks and you think they are such a great team?     Nobody is looking to peak yet.  Nobody else has 9 wins.

In 2 years Davis might be the only defensive player still on the roster.  There is a lot to build here.    But that's for after the season.

Idk about being starry-eyed... but each week you should look for something positive that we haven't seen yet. Today a comeback win.  Now we move on to next week.

I don't think the Vikes are great. Similar to us. I was surprised we shut them down all over. They lost BIG today and they have alot of talent like we do. Should be interesting to see how many teams vie for a QB which will put a good player(s) in our lap on day 1 of the draft. With Shew going away we should be able to pick up a QB#2 from another teams cuts,so no worries there. yeah I find things wrong. I have a high bar LOL

The wuss game was baffling to me. AJ 7 yards, Hurts did not run. very weird. I didn't find anything positive. This week, not good IMO either. We got lucky and/or the O line came through at the end. So the comeback was nice to see but we shouldn't have gone down to them in the first place. When the D doesn't produce +2 TO per game we struggle. Shouldn't be as hard as it is IMO. Imagine the 2 new old guys will get better as we go,then Davis comes back and we should be able to stuff the run in post season,so that's a plus for me

IDK, I just don't view Hurts like ham does. He is not superman and in my view he has alot to improve on yet. Ham has him bronzed and I don't. We'll really see if he is a leader very soon. The guys like him, but it will take more than that to beat the better teams, then again,I am just a hater lol

And again... it's all relative to the 31 other teams.  The goal is to be the best in the current year.  Right now everyone else can find things wrong with all their games....nobody else had won 9 though.

I'll take a positive from last week.  It took a bad non call on a face mask, a WR stumbling and fumbling...in order for a team that ran for 3.1 yards a carry to beat us.  Today we came from behind.  Always a positive.

The game is 60 minutes...no team wins all 60 of those.

That's all great....it isn't an issue yet.  Beating bad teams perfectly doesn't translate to beating good teams.  It just doesn't.  It's not being a hater... we can't beat the 1989 49ers next week... we only have to beat the next opponent.

And again...  let's see the season play out.   I want to see playoffs . .how the running QB does.   I'm not worried about Hurts now.   He will be fine.   Debating each week is kinda pointless.  Especially when it's not vs playoff caliber teams yet.

Hurts won with his legs, not his arm. But is that really him or the play calling from the Coaches? I do not get the time management at the end. Why call a time out with over 4 minutes left? Why not allow the 2 minute warning to be called before rushing to run a play? This could have hurt the outcome. It did not but it should be noticed?
