9ers look tough. A boatload of weapons, Jimmy is dialed in

Saints apparently ruining dreams we are having of good pick...it's nice they have to play at SF and then Tampa coming up next before their bye.  4-9 record could be the knife through the heart.   Eagles playing them week 17 is nice too.   Cleveland,  Atlanta and Carolina would be nice to see them lose at least one... 6-11... should be a good pick.

Olave doing well as their #1. With Thomas going out he had to step up. Dalton seems at least consistent. I hope they lose both of those also. SF just has too many weapons for the Saints. But you never know. nice to see Kittle back 100%,he won games in 2 leagues for me

Yes, they will be tough along with Tampa come playoff time.

IDk they keep trying to get rid of Jimmy. I can't figure out why, all he does is win games. I'm sure adding Caff didn't hurt at all either. Think we see the 9ers in post season

IDK, I just don't view Hurts like ham does. He is not superman and in my view he has alot to improve on yet. Ham has him bronzed and I don't. We'll really see if he is a leader very soon. The guys like him, but it will take more than that to beat the better teams, then again,I am just a hater lol

Just no doubting he’s a leader. Listen to his teammates talk about him. Describe him.

That's all great....it isn't an issue yet.  Beating bad teams perfectly doesn't translate to beating good teams.  It just doesn't.  It's not being a hater... we can't beat the 1989 49ers next week... we only have to beat the next opponent.

That’s one of the major positives. This team finds ways to get it done.

And again...  let's see the season play out.   I want to see playoffs . .how the running QB does.   I'm not worried about Hurts now.   He will be fine.   Debating each week is kinda pointless.  Especially when it's not vs playoff caliber teams yet.

Labeling him RunningQB is an injustice. But I’ve been trying to explain more than one way to skin a cat. You are very stuck on it can only be done the way it’s been done in the past. I don’t see that. Game evolves. Hurts I haven’t seen before.

I don’t want to label guys too much either. But let’s not base postseason success on labeling what other black athletic QBs have done. Different day and  age. Hurts isn’t MikeVick and many of those early with that label.

Most of those guys, Mike Vick admitted his failure, relied on athleticism . Carried them so far.

Trying to remember an athletic….No Mas and FL still label Hurts ‘black runningQB.’

Can’t remember any of them that also had the work ethic. The coachability.

I don’t see Hurts as just  a running QB.

He’s an extension of our HC

Maybe OC

I don’t see him as Superman being good.

He clearly refuses to lose

But we just need him to be that extension of coaching

Right now, I can say with confidence that Hurts is very good at making quick, correct decisions.

I’m not expecting Tom Brady

Just run what our coaches say

Distribute the ball around to the playmakers

It’s fine he carries us through a bad game. But come big games we need team. We need a plan. Can’t skip coaching there.

Leader and QB has to be clutch though. Only way to win isn’t passing for 500 yards.

But so much of my experience of NFL is you gotta deliver at the end. Clearly can’t fold at the end.

Hurts already has me convinced he can handle big moments.

He thrives and craves them.

He doesn’t get all crazy. Stays even.

  • Author

Guys already so experienced and been through so much. Just unthinkable stuff.

His young wisdom has been great for us

He won’t let this team believe the hype.

  • Author

Tells about dominating in big time college ball but tasted the ultimate bitter defeat.

Don’t think he cares about stats either. He’s very focused on the big goal.

  • Author

Never really seen a guy so young that is that driven. Not buying into whatever hype. He is so focused on the biggest of all prizes.

I watch Allen in Buffalo and he just isn’t that really at all. Squandered so much opportunity.

  • Author

Mahomes took it for granted.

  • Author

Utilized his gifts more than craved and worked so hard for it

Had AR and so much going. Think he just figured on it coming easy for him.

  • Author

I’d say Mahomes wasted great opportunity as well.

Not sure our current coaching can get us there. Much for them to prove on the biggest stages. Clearly not ready yet. Loved them getting that opportunity at road postseason mauling by top notch guys last season. Had to learn something from that.
