The real season is like the preseason for you??????   The draft season seems to be your thing?

?????   dude... 29 points in a game he got hit 20 times on 40 drop backs???  Throwing to a WR corp who had 56 combined 58 combined catches coming into the game... 40 plus from Ward?   The defense gave up 38 points... we scored 29.. yet it's Wentz's fault ???????   WTF is going on with this fanbase????   It's a team sport.  Right now our team is on IR.  And looking ahead, we need to purge the whole skill position from all the vets and start over.  Maybe the same with the OL.  Either way 29 points vs the rested Steelers who got 20 hits on the QB?   I mean would be awesome if we could score 20 and win like Chicago did Thursday.... maybe throw a ball up and have a Jimmy Graham completely steal the ball away from a defender.... or maybe just have a Hightower catch a ball that was right on target in the endzone????     I'm not sure there is a tougher job right now in sports than playing QB for this Eagles team.   IDK... losing 4 OL, the top 3 WRs, IMO the best TE, a running game where the coach refuses to stick to...a defense that can't stop a bubble screen ... but yeah, it's the QB?

Yeah we need(IMO 3 things).Well 4.#1) replace the S&C staff. They suck,we are down starters on an annual basis, this cant continue!!!!  #2) decent LB and CB next draft and add a decent LB in FA. #3 Add to the DL,we need more Qb pressures. We are doing ok with who we have, but we used to dominate and we need that back #4 Add another capable RB in that room.Love Sanders and Scott, but having a 3 headed monster option would help. In addition pick up a decent WR in the next draft in around round 3.No need for a 1 pick, but assuming Djax and Alshon are both gone,we could use 1 more.Fulgham looks good here so far(Keeper) and with Reagor we should be ok if we can keep him on the field, but for competition reason adding another decent WR would help the position

SO stop looking at them.I can guarantee you our scouts are out there scouting.Say whatever you want but you KNOW teams that draft well do better(and that can keep those guys on the field) I know you dont care about drafts, but I do because thats where you promote from within and cut the need to hit FA.I posted that because it accurate at the pace we are going.if you don't like the post pass it by.Mocks are YEAR LONG events. They already have mocks out for next year,so whatever dude

It's October my man... plenty of time for the 1427 mocks.   Lets see how the rest of this season unfolds so we get a better feel of things.

BTW... I agree with all the needs... what I don't like to do is pigeon hole myself into the idea of ... " this needs to be drafted in round 1, this is in round 2, this needs to be a free agent...etc.    My idea remains consistent.   Whatever is best available at the time for either free agency (with $$ an obvious factor) ... and whoever is the best player when you are on the clock.   You need to take that route each time.

I think we need more than one offseason.  Lets not force the puzzle next year.   We know we need pieces... lets take the best one each round.   Then go from there.  BTW, I also would like to get a TE that can block.. so when we got 2 TE set with Goedert, there is an actual advantage running the ball.   Ertz to me at this point is useless.   Lots to do, next year to me needs to be like 2016.  Just make the right moves releasing players and get some good ones in here.  2022, when we have more cap space and see better what needs we were able to fill in 2021, so that we can focus better on the remaining needs... we can turn it around for better and longer if we do it right and not rush it.   Wentz playing this year at age 27, next year at age 28 ... lets set him up with a better team as he enters the prime years.

Another LB I like is Surratt from NC.He also plays QB at times(lol)

I know Joe,I am just "scouting".I don't think we are a SB team.I scouted Pitts at TE,so see I am finding players.Players will rise and fall through the college season, some will get hurt, but when mock season comes I have already done my homework,so I apologize for "thinking out loud",but I do this every year and you bash me every year.its an annual EVENT!!!

That was the "plan" starting 5 years ago(ugh). Wentz does not look as sharp as he should IMO.He doesn't do all that well when he is hurried, but he better get used to it.I would totally fire the S&C staff. We are always one of the top teams with injuries.Start there.if we can't keep guys on the field,I dont care if they were #1 picks or top FA's.Tired of being riddled with injuries every year.Pathetic

Great game going in Seattle

MY mom is a phenomenal cook, but if you put her in a McDonald's kitchen, she probably isn't going to make anything special.   For me... when we give the QB the ingredients similar to 2017 ... the only pro bowler was a TE who can't or get a yard after the catch, the rest of the guys were solid but not spectacular .... if he gets that, and perfroms poorly or can't win... then I focus on him.  Otherwise, while I know he can improve, my focus is going to stay on the areas of this team ... player wise, where we can add better talent.

The injuries do concern me... and maybe we should look at what was going on here while Chip was here, you know common sense stuff that some on here had to make fun of... sleep, hydration, etc.  too much coincidence now IMO, something needs to change.

Tough call there for Minn... going up 8 would have been huge, but that CB blew that 4th down play that Metcalf caught down the sideline.

Yea man NC is on point with the early profiles. I am just not ready to give up on this season, yet.  I want to see Watkins and Killins on the field. Hightower's drop in the end zone was one of many reasons we gave away this game. The young guys gotta learn .I am unhappy that we lose for the same reason we did in previous years allowing opponents to march down the field on us. Then try to stop them from scoring in the end zone. That has not worked well for us.

Pittsburgh is a solid team. I think we did well to stay with them most of the game. Wentz was under pressure because Pitts defensive unit is a top 5 in the NFL. We have O-Lineman playing their 2 or 3rd start yet they hung tough. I was impressed we played as well as we did...  Let's move on to the next game. Another loss but the schedule eases up after that...

Stay with them most of the game? We were 17 points down at one point and I really think that led to us getting back in to it because Pittsburgh relaxed too much and we got some momentum on our side.

Yes we were down 17 points for all of 5 minutes. But score at Halftime was 3 points. We went down and then came back within two. As I said we hung tough for most of the game. Not trying to split hairs here, but most of the game is over 30 minutes, right? Easy my friend...

Didn't the schedule start the first 3 weeks quite kindly for this team though? And that didn't work out so well.

Why yes it did? Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today? What is your point? I made a statement that the Schedule eases up for them after Baltimore game. I did not say we would win any or all of them....?  Geesh!

If you recall, I made a statement that the Eagles were a bottom 5 team a few weeks ago. Whether they prove me wrong and win 4 more is yet to be determined. I was just trying to be positive as any Eagle fan would at this point. We have seen a few bright spots the last two weeks Maliata being one of them

No I'm not having a go I'm just pointing out that the schedule isn't easy because this is a bad football team. Schedule ease is relative based on a teams quality.

If you say so. Not going to argue as we both are looking at this differently. I am looking at strength strictly based on opposition's record.

Ironic that we are in a division that is led by a team that just lost their starting QB for the remainder of the season. We stink, but so does everyone else in the NFC east. You could argue that 4 of the bottom 5 teams come from our division.... What that translates into is yet to be determined. We need to get some players back. Reagor, Goddert and Jackson would help immensely.

From that point of view yeah I agree with you. No doubt that NY and Dallas are easier than Pittsburgh and Baltimore.

IDK I can scout for draftees AND still watch THIS team.Multi-tasking it my "thing"   "You know, the thing"

It was nice, though,to see this team respond and not roll over, whine, make excuses "we have no guys" and give them a fight.Patched up young warriors, learning their trade vs mostly established opponents.I was impressed. They didn't quit(which we have seen before). The better teams we play merely expose how deep the holes are at various positions. To me it became evident in this game that out LR's are SUB standard(as a group). We always know we don't invest at LB much, this we really saw in this game how bad the situation is

I was impressed by a fair few aspects yes. They gutted it out and they hung in there when at one point they could have rolled over and given up. Fulgham battled and fought throughout and was hugely impressive. Wentz had his struggles again but he made some big plays and I do give him credit for that.
