Not really I disagree Wentz is pretty consistent if we are looking at his complete body those stats might not be what you want but doesn’t vary often

So he's not elite then? You agree that his body of work is pretty average really?

Not sure what the issue is here. It is fairly obvious that Wentz is a good QB, just not elite like most thought. Maybe he changes our view, but he is what he is for now. 1-2 games will not change my thinking. Good QB's make the players around him better, not the other way around, so I disagree that rookie WR's are the reason or the line is not doing its job... Rogers plays consistently great no matter who suits up around him. He is elite. Brady is the same...

Guys have to make plays no matter who the QB is.... I won’t deny Wentz was in a funk to start the year... But Steelers game want to say he threw nearly 40% of his passes to contested WRs(stat from PFF) highest this week. He threw a dime to Hightower for a TD that was dropped... Even back end of 2019 Wentz basically made the team better.

Didn’t state any of that just that his body of work is consistent. I think Wentz is a very good QB that works with the little he has been given.

We talk about these other QBs Rodgers who throws to nobodies but has went from Donald Driver, Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson to Devante Adams at WR and only really started to be a threat with the rise of the D and ground game. Think people over look the fact of how avg. Rodgers looked most of last season

Brees always had play makers around him and yet even when he was throwing for 5000 yards the team was 8-8 most of the time literally changed the team to be more ground and pound to help win more games.

Think we tend to over exaggerate other players from other teams in general vs our own. We watch our team and see all the mistakes and we don’t dissect other teams and players like our own.

I want to toss this out there just to get your comments. All things being equal(like player skills or what have you) were we a better TEAM with a 34 Defense?

I think Wentz will grow with this offense. For the last few years we have been moving things around a lot and relying on older players who are in and out of the lineup. Now, I see some clarity.

Sanders is the RB1. Goedert is the TE1. The WRs are Fulgham and Reagor on the outside, and Ward or Hightower in the slot. The oline has 7 or 8 guys who can step in and play reasonably well. These are all younger guys with the exception of Kelce, Lane and Brooks, and Kelce is probably going to retire after this year. And we have clear replacements for them in Herbig, Driscoll and Juriga.

Wentz seems to be a qb who needs to develop chemistry with his receivers, but once he has it he is solid. So I expect him to get better as the year goes along and guys like Goedert and Reagor get back in the lineup. And this is a lineup which I see remaining largely unchanged for five or six years. It's also one I think can win a championship, as long as we start making better decisions with the defense.

One thing you have to remembers is we may have played the best team in the NFL Sunday, and looked good against them with a lot of pieces missing.

29 points vs the best defense we faced so far.   45 points in the last 6 quarters as compared to 17 points in the 6 quarters between Wash and the Rams.    Lets be honest... you can chalk up miscommunication or Ertz getting bumped as one INT... the other one was a 4th down toss way down field... bogus stat.  If your eyes are telling you that he is regressing (from game to game... not from anything prior to this year)   then I just disagree. I think he's much better lately than when his teammates were getting injured around him.  A stable roster is going to help.

IDK,as sad as it is he looks RIGHT NOW like Winston 2.0.TD"s are great---------------- if you take the PICKS away. This is why they lost/benched Jameis in TB,he could win games and easily lose games (and why did we draft Hurts?? I still think it means something besides"chance for trickery").Nearly setting a team record for picks in 4 games isn't the "trend" I want to see

While there is still time to improve, note the the Qb ratings(*last figure on the right)

Rogers looked Average last season? The dude was without Adams for 4 games and his running backs for a few more. He was sacked 46 times yet posted 26 TD's with only 4 INT's and an average rating of over 95.Hardly average considering what he had to work with. I watch every one of his games as GB is my wife's favorite team. Reason he did not do more was not his fault, but his coaches dumb a** calls prior to 2019. The reason he is playing so great now is he has more freedom to change plays and much better coaching. They didn't draft any WR's the past two years and drafted a QB the first round this year, yet he has no issues tossing the ball to undrafted FA's and 5th round picks.... Adams has not played since he was knocked out week two yet he is doing great. He is far from average my friend.

Better team no 2017 can argue was our best team probably some other. Were we a better D mmmm possibly given Chip style of O really Fed the D but Billy Davis wasn’t much of a DC either.

And Wentz had a 27 and 7 TD/int ratio didn’t have any WRs to work with last year didn’t just miss them a few games.

Rodgers last year had couple 200 passing games where his team didn’t under 20 points he had couple games where he didn’t even get 200 yards passing

11 games last year Rodgers didn’t even crack 250 yards passing. 2/3 games he didn’t even get 200 yards and his teams scored 11,8,20 and they only won one of those games.

Would you be talking Wentz as elite if we watched him have an identical season

If you want to talk 2020 Rodgers.... he has had Adams out what 2 weeks now

Detroit Rodgers 60% completion only 240 yards and 68 of those came from Aaron Jones taking one to the house. Take that one play away what else did Rodgers really do????

And Rodgers has a great game vs Minnesota who is a shell of there former self.

Like i said I’m just look at things fairly

What you are not seeing is he had a new coach last year. They did not really start gelling until the 4th or 5th week. Look, you can twist it anyway you like to. Rogers career rating is higher than any one year for Wentz. Rogers played great last year. The stats do not show the dropped balls from the rookie WR's and TE's....

Answer to your question, If wentz played as well I would not be saying he was just a good QB. But he did not. You have to watch them play. See what they do. Rodgers tosses the ball away when Wentz doesn't. Rodgers throws the ball much more accurately and to the outside shoulder when he should. Rodgers does not stare down WR's. Look, you think what you like. Their play is not even close.

Seriously, he tosses for 240 yards on only 30 attempts and you are pointing that out?  Adams had 3 targets then got hurt so coach decided to go heavy on the run. I watched the game

Look, I was an avid fan of Wentz and always kept saying he was the real deal. This is his 5th year. He is making rookie mistakes. He locks in on receivers and doesn't go thru his progressions. His footwork is totally messed up. He hold onto the ball too long. He has no touch on his passes. In his 5th year these simple mistakes shouldn't be as evident, no? I have no answer.... Coaching? Maybe drafting a QB in the 2nd round got in his head? You tell me

Yep, average results with a below average group to work with ... .the outliner was the year he had a healthy and consistent group to play with.  It's not really hard, it's not golf or bowling, the teammates matter.

I will tell you.... not knowing or practicing with the guys that are in the game don't help.    I've been pretty consistent with this.   And you see this trend every year.  As the roster gets stable from injury, his play gets better.   It's nice to have the great QB make his players better.... but it helps if they catch the ball, which to me was the big issue last year.   He played well for 13 games last year IMO ... the results came in at the end when we stopped dropping the ball.   He still had the same issues, holding the ball too long, fumbles...etc.   The difference was Greg Ward and co. made plays when they had the chance, where Agholor and co were not.

Again we shall see.... but I like the way the trend is going this year where we score more points each game.   I just hope adding in Alshon or DeSean don't mess things up again.  Which to be honest is what I anticipate happening, and then it gets better when the young guys get the reps again.

I don’t have to twist it just stating facts Rodgers had plenty of games he looks avg. or bad in. He has games he just does enough but nothing special.

And then he has the Rodger games making plays only a handful of QB can.

Im not biased on anything I just see it as it is Rodgers is an elite QB I don’t doubt that but if you watched him last year or times this year he had avg. stretches he wasn’t lights out elite game in game out that my point.

Rodgers had a new HC so what dude is what 15 year vet. Come on.

I think we changed to the 43 because, since we cant draft LB's, we can barely manage 3 of them let alone 4 🤣

Me and UK also think he has regressed.Others think we are nuts. I suppose it depends how you view it.I just don't see that competive "POP" anymore.Yep staring down receivers will kill you, then again with little "chemistry" he may not have a choice because he is not yet used to the "How/when" they break. His job depends on throwing to a certain area,if the timing is off that area gets bigger(aka picks, missed balls). If Im throwing to you at the sticks and you are .3 seconds late, that ball doesn't get completed.IDC what anyone says, chemistry is the most important thing with your receivers, and consistency for about everything. So I can't say it's all on the QB.it's an entire team issue. It's just obvious that the gears on this machine need greased before it works as it should

FYI in fantasy leagues both Claypool and Fulgham are now on "fantasy watch" I may pick one up.My WR Chark is questionable and my bench has Tee Higgins who I would normally drop in,but they play the Ravens this week

I'm not disagreeing with the results.   I'm just saying I don't expect the results we saw before with the team not being as good. " yeah but its year 5"... yeah, the team is worse around him in year 5.... that's the bigger issue for me.  You put Joe Montana on this team.... its still not winning a SB.  Not even close.

My guess is they are hoping to get Toohill and Arnold through to the PS, which shouldn't be an issue. Toth takes one spot and the other one will likely go to Curry. It will be interesting to see if Parks can play this week. I think he gets the start at safety if he can go.

Was just about to post this lmao 😂.... Think Toohill will pass through should be able to stash on PS
