I have mixed feelings here. First, they keep making the game more complicated. Second- Refs are human,I get that, that's why we have replays. But really to do it right you should be able to challenge NON calls. Those are game changers JUST as much as reviewing CALLED infractions. Gooddell sucks or he would have figured this out by now. Refs need more training if they are going too continue this bad call/non call nonsense. Also if ref crews have a certain percentage of overturned calls or non calls, they should all be fired. They can go back to school and earn their jobs back if they pass, but they need to be out of circulation until they get their act together

I think you put too much on one guy. It's not Goodell...he's just a figure head.

He's in charge, anyone under him he is responsible for

Murray,Jackson,Hurts all out this week, and those guys are all(let's say it together) running QB's

Haha. Im glad I survived it too.  I loved it! Got to the point i just couldnt keep my weight at 118 lbs. 5’11” jockey…I towered over most.  And Nope! When i retired in 1995, I needed a job. 😀

WOW yeah that's tall for a jockey. I bet when you turned sideways you disappeared

Its such a joke. Even the participation bowls, no starters even play. Who the crap wants to watch that?

Still some good games. I don't like the opt out rule. It's an HONOR to be chosen to a bowl game and it's like bailing on your team IMO. I know others see it different.I get they don't want to get hurt,I look at it like well this guy will sit out if he gets a hangnail if I draft him. It's a great way to take on the top talent against you and show teams what you can really do instead of being a big pu**y, prima donna wanker

Being a jockey i'm sure you know who Ron Turcotte is.

I got to meet him years ago. His daughter married someone i flew with in the AF and i took him and his bride from the chapel to their reception on our sleigh.

30 December, Northern Maine  -30 F.

It didn't bother the horses but I froze

I'm going to ask a couple of questions... I will use the answers to make a point next week.

1.  How do you see the Dallas defense compared to the rest of the league

2. Same question for the Saints defense

3.  Do you think Minshew is a bad, decent, average, or above average QB.

I'm just curious to see these answers.

And I'll make my point where I'm going with this after the Eagles kick the Saints ass!

Might not paint the QB1 is such a good light.

1) Talented. Fast but not big. You can run on them. Play their absolute best with a lead.

2) Talented. Keeps their team in games. Not elite though.

3) Average.

I do! Excellent jockey AND human being!

30 BELOW? Yikes! Trust me, it affects horses at that temperature too.

Haha. My son watched videos of me awhile back and said I looked like a paper person….could be blown away. He did not believe it was me. I’m 150 lbs now and run Spartan (obstacle course racing) races competitively these days at 52; so pretty fit still. So it’s not like he is comparing a chubby me to my jockey days. He swears all the videos of me are my brother, who was also a jockey and is now a dentist….but he is 4 inches shorter. My son even called the racetracks where I won a lot of races to verify they were all me. Pretty funny watching him doubt it all AND try to prove me wrong. He is 30 years old and a fire medic. So he has a LOT of spare time to dedicate to proving his dad wrong…. Or not. Haha.

I agree. That's the only way to make "fair" fair.

Get used to it,the NFL signed an 11 year contract with AmaF8ck. Not only did they shaft the players, they shafted the fans and took away a "working mans" Thursday night break(even if somehow you are for Thursday games). I wonder if the NFPLA has anything to say about this and if not why not??? They had a say in game 17,so either they agreed to this or there was a fine print clause that "the NFL can do whatever it wants". IDK anyone who does their job being tired and worn out. I remember those days. Concentration was off, taking some risks I would not have otherwise taken, but the greed on both sides has gotten us here

NFLPA agrees to the more money every time. They’ll add a 18 game.

They’ll agree to more overseas play

How much is Thur football addicted mg to the player pool? They get a certain percentage of revenue

The problem with running QBs is they wind up like RG3. He was great for a season

And don't tell me he doesn't take hits. It only takes one

But what I asked awhile back was has there been a guy like Hurts before

RGKnee was slender

Cared more about his brand than prepping for NFL

  • Author

Now FL gets all crazy and thinks when I say this about Hurts I’m saying he’s the greatest thing every

This is not my point at all

  • Author

When I think back at running QBs they mostly fall under the Gus that rely on their athleticism way too much. Mike Vick admitted he didn’t work. Murray they put a clause he needs to do some kind of work on his own. Many were more slender. Not very coachable.

  • Author

Hurts isn’t the most gifted guy ever graced the field. But he’s got so many gifts. But he’s the guy that works harder than any so called running QB I even seen. He lifts crazy weights. Like Oline level. He really got himself thick. He’s coachable. He studies. Seems to understand to try not to take the hits.

RGKnee and Vick and several of these past running QBs were faster. Stronger arm.

  • Author

Hasn’t been a guy like Hurts I’ve ever seen. Unique. Not how FL says I’m saying he’s god like or anything. Hoping you see my point. Hasn’t been a guy like him.

  • Author

That’s why I asked to name a guy like him. But there really never has been.

Yeah I think they signed Murray until 2028.IDK that I would sign running QB's for that long

You guys keep comparing Hurts to others not like him. Using that label ‘Running QB.’

Ok.... remember prior to the season when you just wanted " making the playoffs " as your goal while the rest of us were saying this team should do better?

What you fail to realize... you bring so much negativity to this board.

It's not being smart when you constantly point out flaws.  It's annoying.   No F$#king kidding the team has flaws... but you are like the bride that has the great wedding but needs to complain about the napkins.  Shut up already.   Your team doesn't have the spoiled history of multiple Superbowls ... this season has gone smoother than any other....you are looking at 4th safety.   How many seasons were our 4th safety an issue?   The punter ....which Superbowl team you feel won because of the punter?  Dude had zero shanks all season, 5 feet away from being a top ten punting average...." but PFF"

The OL is the best in the league....without question....for a week you just spoke negatively about it.

Can you finally realize this is the best WR combo we have had here?  You had to resist that all off-season.

It's not being real constantly b#tching about this team.    You are a contrarian by nature not because you are smarter than everybody,  but because you seek attention.  It's obvious.

Relax and enjoy the season.   The next game that matters is still more than 3 weeks away.   Enjoy the Saints blowout this weekend and have a happy new year.

BS. Last season I just wanted them to get to the playoffs and get experience. Not at all the bar this year. I said they were solidly second tier in the NFC.

You keep reaching for fourth S. I’m saying starting Dime. Backup SS, FS and Slot. You keep coming back to the regular season. Yet you’ve been saying for weeks that the one seed is locked up.

I’m sorry if you don’t see our big weakness. They attack Scott consistently.

  • Author

Gannon needs a Dime but we really don’t have one. So he has forced a known terrible S out there in Wallace. Not sure what you aren’t getting about todays NFL? So I’ll slow down. Do you realize Nickel is every single teams Base D?

Do you agree coverage and passing is one of the most coveted aspects todays game?

  • Author

It’s like you are reaching back looking for 4-3 D. Days are gone. It’s Nickel, Dime and Goaline.

Any DC needs those the most.

So I’m mot talking about regular season. I love winning every Sunday. Helps my mood.
