That being said Shew missed passes he should not have. Regardless the running game vanished and the defense played awful. Shew is not a runner,Siri did not adjust to that fact. With Hurts min maybe we get a few first downs. but knowing your BU QB isnt a runner you need to game plan for that and Siri did not. SHout out for an entire 1/2 with the offense we have? That takes "talent". Such a big game today and it was a failure all over the field. Time for the "we need to do better" speech

Think that comes back to the idea of its better if the backup is similar style to the starter.

Shew was cheap and arguably one of the better backup options we could get. But we would be better served to have a backup more similar to our Franchise guy.

You just aren’t going to change the whole offense in a week. Especially if the starter is coming back.

Yes it's all about the trade today. With that rook S we coulda won!!! So obvious

Olave did a little something for them also.

Makes no sense at all. You think ONE games rest will make Hurts ok? One game?

It would be three games and a bye week. Basically a month.

If the medical staff clears himand he's really not ready it's time to find a new medical staff. LOTS of players playing hurt right now.

Medical staff reports to Rosie. If we won today he wouldn’t play. We need the win to get one seed he plays. Notice how I didn’t include evaluating injury.

Ham knows better,Hurts needs to clear with Ham first. Forget the med staff

C’mon guys….you’ve watched this process for years.

WOW I don't know where to start on this one. IDK what"well enough" is. He threw a pick 6 today. Without that we still would have lost. We should have had a lead at the 1/2,but the team never showed up. he threw 355 last week,Hurts has had only 1 game with more than that. Defense had no answers for Hill-NO ANSWERS,but that's on Shew right? There was zero reasons today this team should have lost. We put a great offense together, but they need to PLAY. Siri's game plan SUCKED and he didn't adjust to anything. more crap penalties(and lets not forget the bogus non holding call). My QB bar didn't change at all. O line needs to hold the pocket(fail). Running game vanished. Defense was awful, Feel free to disagree with this assessment

The O not converting first downs is on them. Obviously is rough on the D also.

Sweat tweeted he'll be back this season

We don't get a bye if we don't win vs the gnats

It’s a injury situation like that…is tough to be at a home game.

I haven't been to a home game since we opened the season vs Jacksonville when Chump Kelly was coach

I blame everybody! Shouldn’t be absolutely reliant on Hurts, Maddox and Lane to beat bad teams. Wonder if you’ve even considered the likely hood of us pulling out the win if we didn’t trade with them? No Olave. Us having an extra first rounder playing today. Trade looks completely terrible now. We make even just a decent pick it clearly swings us to victory today. Clinching the one. Not even considering risking our Franchise guys career. But yep, I’m dumb….because o think postseason more important than regular season games.

Wait..... a rookie ....one.... single player... " clearly swings us to victory "  over the Saints?

One rookie safety would have been the difference?   Really?   That's really what you think?

Should be game plans for either QB. Wasn't expecting to lose to the Wuss. Dullaz is always a rivalry throw the records out for that one,I was sincerely STUNNED at how bad we played this week. With the caliber players we have it was disgraceful. I don't care which QB is in,there is talent all over this team. Well I can't change,it but suffice to say if our entire team depends on 1 or 2 guys we're in worse shape than I thought. It's probably a good thing there was no snow at the Linc(the "santa clause")

I didn't get the game. Too many 3 and outs on offense and ZERO stoppages on defense. They rattled off 11/12 3rd conversions and 1 4th down. This is not the defense we have. Home game noone seemed fired up,complacent. By the time they woke up(for 1/4) the game was gone. Reminds me of many home games where we come out flat and never recover. We have a better ROAD record. No excuse for that

SO this SHOULD have been an easy win. With this piss poor performance(everywhere) now we put ourselves behind the 8 ball. We got used to "cruising"(which as you know I was always against). Now when they get down, they can't come back. Bad quality to have heading to post season. So we can play with a lead, but now tested a few times and we  have no comeback in us,then we force things and it just makes it worse. gave up in the running game way to early. In the 3rd we had a shot at taking over and failed, then the 4th was just a BS rerun of the first 1/2. I'm glad they are all friends, but how about a little bash over the head from Siri now and then? Nice guys finish last in the playoffs and if we stay on this path we will find that out pretty quickly

https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401437940  So here is the box score/stats.. Fairly even across the board. The difference was allowing all those conversions on defense which we normally don't allow that many of. IDK just seemed to me like no adjustments were made. Maybe someone who saw the game can fill me in on the play calling. TOO much talent to have that many 3 and outs on offense.

OK so let me see. If we hadn't made the trade, Olave would not have been drafted by ANYONE? And if it wasn't the Saints that got him we would never have to face him at anytime with another team? I'm trying to make sense out of this and failing. BTW Olave only had 42 yards. Can't say he was "dominating" lol

Dude...I don't know why I was quoted?  Should have been one of Hams posts.

The Saints scored 20.   7 on the opening drive which they dominated, I missed the while drive being in the car, still haven't seen the play Sweat got hurt.

Then they scored 2 FGs the rest of the game...looks like adjustments were made on D.  " Shew" had a brutal pick 6 that you see in backyard football with 8 year olds picking off the quick out pattern.    That was their scoring.

To be honest... a bad holding call...and then we stopped running the ball...or could have been different.

Now the pick drops to 10...and could go as low as 14.   Starters need to play next week until the game is out of reach.

And we only played 15 minutes in the 3rd 1/4. The rest was agonizing TRASH play. The pick 6 hurt no doubt. They always do,and 4 TO's last week Not a winning formula. We had it easy all year and in the tough games we are failing right now. Scott was supposed to pick up the slack if Sanders went down. Didn't see that either. In the third I figured we would come back. No running game. it was horrible play calling in my view. Goedert should have run amok but he got limited looks. Just really an eye opener that we could fail on every front 2 weeks in a row

The running game was working...stopped calling it.... like a flash back to Andy.

The pick 6 was a rookie mistake. Not whai i expect of someone with his experience
