So,in my view Hurts will play. I think he should play at least some of the game of he will be rusty after 4 weeks(assuming we win)

Week 17 is important for the Eagles, and there's a lot riding on Minshew's performance. If they beat the Saints, they lock up the No. 1 seed in the NFC and secure a bye for the first round of the playoffs. That would give Hurts several weeks of no-pressure prep time before the playoffs because he wouldn't need to play against the New York Giants in Week 18 — he could just come in for a few downs or a drive or two to give himself a little game experience before the playoffs begin. 

If the Eagles lose to the Saints, Hurts would need to start against the Giants in Week 18, since it will be their last and final chance to capture the No. 1 seed and corresponding bye week. Even with a week left before that game, the Eagles are already feeling good about Hurts. According to Schefter they were impressed by the throws he made in his limited return to practice Thursday.

So, as I said, we may see Hurts play some or even all of the game. Depends on what the staff thinks,but even a series or 2 would keep him sharp

BTW this article was a week ago and they were "feeling good" about him then. A Saints win would have helped,but that's not what happened

Update-Hammler is showing signs of improvement(but we don't know what that means)

My take- 1)Hurts plays. We form a game plan more run based,or short passes to the TE's. Gnats have also clinched a playoff berth,so they will be head hunting and Hurts needs to be ready. 2) The alternative would be to start Shew. If it's clear by the 1/2 that we aren't going anywhere,Hurts could come in. I personally like option 2 better because they will have game planned for Shew and switching to Hurts would create alot of problems for them(we are favored by 14,but IDK if thats with Hurts or Shew in,I assume it's Hurts)
