To win the division we MUST WIN yes? First goal-get into the playoffs, second goal, win the division. For most people this is the norm, but not Ham, for you the bar was lowered to "just slop your way in and hope for the best)

That's because they are normal sports writers

Because you’re all incorrect, sorry…but true. Not sure why you’re still arguing such a bad point?

All the guys I mentioned can play. Maddox could probably even play.

Well Maddox and Lane won't play because they can't

I don't remember Ceedys injury but didn't he have a lacerated kidney? His practice window is open as i understand but don't know if he's cleared for contact.

Sweat, honestly it depends on his injury. Since we don't really know how severe it was i can't make an informed comment

Lane can. Just not going to push it until a playoff game…being worth it.

Lane needs surgery to fix his injury. Not getting better until after surgical recovery.

Lane would be the same this Sunday as the first playoff game. Everybody here seems to understand saving him for the playoff game however. Not sure where the lines are being drawn by each poster. I’ve clearly drawn my lines on these injured players. Seemed fairly easy for me. Usually I’d want to know much more medical opinions and such…not seeing much grey area anywhere here though.

Evidently it is hard to understand. Not even sure, of the injured, who you want to suit up this game.

To me, if you suffer a neck injury that leaves you just laying there on the field for awhile, that automatically makes you not available next week.

  • Author

It was serious enough to immobilize him, carry him off and take him straight to the hospital. I do realize there is a level of precaution involved with the situation. But enough there for me that player will not be eligible to play the next week.

My opinion doesn’t have to be everybodies opinion. I am curious what others here think…and why?

So if the cowboys lose we don’t win the division?

Cowboys aren't gonna lose to Washington who is starting their 3rd string rookie.

He’s an upgrade over Wentz I’d say. But if the cowboys lose we win the division. Making ‘must win’ technically incorrect.

With the abdominal/groin injury he won't be able to move. If he's immobile Driscoll is the better choice

LOL

You'd say JaMarcus Russell is an upgrade.

This could be true. Still my understanding is everybody expects Lane to start our first playoff game. Not because his injury will be improved.

I like Howell. But Wentz laid a complete egg in the clutch. Worst passer rating he’s ever posted. I was the first to suggest we try and trade up that draft for Wentz actually. Got a jersey. That player took me through the whole circle in practically  record time.

That remains to be seen

I've heard he can't injure it any more than he has. The question is can he play through the pain.

Was Howell the NC QB?

31.4 passer rating agains Browns. Howell really can’t play worse.

Can he play through the pain and is he mobile enough to be effective? All applies playing this game or first playoff game. Not seeing anybody calling for him to play this week…everybody I’ve seen wants him to give it a go the playoff game however. So it interests me where fans are drawing their lines on whom to save and whom to suit up. I’m on the side of saving them all. But getting very conflicting thoughts from others(yeah mostly you FL hahaha). Not sure there is a right or wrong answer here.

Oh..,on Howell I gave you a link about him which answered your question.

And playing Howell is the right move.

The game is meaningless to washington and they may as well get their rook QB some PT

Even the evaluation on Howell is all over the place. Good runner…but not a guy to design runs for. Strong arm and willingness to go downfield…but doesn’t have the touch and accuracy. Kind of up and down on his whole scouting report. Could be elite….could be a bust.

Top ten pick to pick 144

Ok, how far are you willing to go to achieve that? I can agree with this. I also however believe we’d have a better chance winning the Lombardi with a healthier team. Rather be the last playoff seed with a healthy Hurts than top seed with Shew.

Why won't Hurts be healthy if he is cleared to play?:The staff and Hurts will make that decision. Why can't we be the 1 seed with a healthy Hurts? Assuming he gets through this game he gets another week off. BTW even after Hurts "injury" he was dropping dimes all game long, but I'm glad they did all the testing to find the real problem and not brush it off as a "pulled muscle" which they easily could have done. Not a bad injury, but glad they kept him out and let it heal up to avoid any future problems

Yes, of coarse, everyone else is incorrect lol. If Hurts plays,Siri is incorrect,Hurts is incorrect, the med staff is incorrect and all the writers as well as everyone on this board in incorrect except Ham

Maybe he will, not my call to make

Med staff will clear them for play or not, then the coach takes that and decides if that player plays. Those are the only opinions that matter

neurologically intact.

That is the best possible news

I was really happy to hear that. He can communicate by writing, until his tube comes out,but he is awake and coherent. He asked if they won the game(Ham doesn't understand that players want to play ALWAYS). The docs told him he "won his life"(loved that response)
