I would deny it until as you say the season is over. Don't need distractions

OT------went to Waffle House for a quick bite. The line cook was a college grad who can't find work. He is planning on student loan forgiveness and when that happens(if it does) his plans are to go buy a brand new car(on credit) with the money he won't have to pay back($57,000.00). Sorry, but these morons are not smart enough to attend college to begin with. He was also mad he has to work 4/7 days this week. My heart aches for him(go PUAR) . So instead of paying on his loan, he is saving up for the new car down payment. Welcome to the "entitled" USA where noone works, just suck off those that DO. Pathetic. Rant over

Yeah line, but if Sanders goes, then I could see Robinson, since he is really the only round 1 RB. We could have him on rook pay for 5 years and still work on the lines. If it's lines first, then Bresee(who I think is out of reach now without a trade up) or Tyree Wilson. But Robinson at RB I would not complain about either

Yes line...  but...no line... but ....no line... but... yeah regardless of who goes we need line..  yes now I'm thinking clearly...it will be line.

You could give me Derrick Henry or Jim Brown....in 2022 no shot do I take him top 10. I'll trade back if that's the case.   Workhorse or high paid RB just doesn't translate ...  best example is Carolina and SF.    SF been running the ball great for years, they get 4 RBs hurt each year.    Carolina trades CMC and yet still can run.  And won pretty decent amount since that trade.

It's a great "luxury" to have the great RB...but the other pieces are needed to win.

No shot am I going to be happy with RB taken at or near 10.   Simply dumb!

If we went RB first,I have round 1- Robinson then BJ Ojulari at egde. Round 2-Darnell Wright-RT round 3-Kyu Blu Kelly-CB-Stanford,or we could just go line and pick up some FA RB's if Sanders wants too much. Lots of ways to go. I like porter the CB from Penn, but Howie never takes a CB first

Nope

Yes...this is the week Eagles and KC coaches can interview.  Usually early to get it out of the way.

Now that we have a bye week.... looking ahead to Hurts getting paid.

This idea of him taking a discount because he is just the best person ever.   Gotta look big picture.  His agent and the players union will have a lot to say.  I'm sure Howie will make it look good,  but there will be an out and some relatively low cap hits.

No shot does the players union or his particular agent look to get discount.

Yeah, pisses me off to have a coach distracted.

So Hurts survived the game but you could tell he was dialing it back some.

Now he has another 2 weeks to get himself right

Depends on what happens in the offseason?

Will be fun if they both walk. Then you're counting on Gainwell and whoever else you can scrape up and whomever those are you will have to pay them as opposed to a rook on a 5 year. I can see a trade back, but there are no RB's worth taking after round 1 is over. It's a deep class of lackluster. Seems like the kid the wuss got that got shot is doing well???

From a production and value standpoint alone, Sanders’ first three years of work should get him a fair deal that averages somewhere in between the $7.0 million per year Austin Ekeler earns from the Chargers, up towards the $8 million per year that Kenyan Drake is getting from the Raiders.

A monster 2022 season for Sanders could force Philadelphia into the $12 million per season that Nick Chubbs (Browns), Joe Mixon (Bengals), Derrick Henry (Titans), Aaron Jones (Packers), and Dalvin Cook (Vikings) all make.

It’s unlikely and with the Eagles rebuilding, Howie Roseman will likely aim more for the 3 years, $18.5M that would put Sanders in the company of Hines and other dual-threat backs without breaking the bank.

You wouldn't trade the 10 pick for Derrick Henry? But trading for AJ is fine?

Things were played very close to the vest. Sanders clearly was dialed back in the Saints game. He actually went full speed this final week. AJ been nursing injury clearly wasn’t taking extra chances. Hurts really dialed things back. Think you could really see and understand the intangibles I try to explain he brings to the table here. The stats only people just don’t get it. They just don’t tell the whole story at all. Hurts was bringing home the win…no matter what the stats were. Other guys could put up better stats than he did but not bring the success. Everybody has this supreme confidence in his leadership. They know to follow him and he won’t fail them. They don’t want to fail him either. It’s hard for me to describe exactly how he does it. It’s not in a Tom Brady type of way. Not in a aloof Primma Donna ARod way either. Almost more comparable to how I picture Brees went about business. Talking leadership and intangibles comparison…before any keyword posters go nuts in the wrong direction about the comparison.

Really hurt New England a lot during all those playoff runs!

Proud of him being smart. You could just tell how difficult it was for him. Completely against his nature. Just hopefully none of that style sticks with him going forward. Don’t need him picking up bad habits. Hurts mentality already kicked in. Siri gave the team off today. Hurts was coming in to watch tape. He’ll get his medical attention to get his body up to best possible shape. I think he already turned the page starting today on the injury though. He’s going full speed ahead from here on out. Love how he’s on such a mission. He’s a winner!

Line ...doesn't depend on anything.  They need to replenish both lines...   the necessary positions, not the luxury that is the RB position

We had Sproles and Smallwood in May of 2017.    The least of my concern is RB.

That’s a huge swing. Sanders won’t command Zeke kind of money. Much rather pay Miles than consider taking a RB that high. We need to get a top Dline from that Saints pick. Top CB or Oline rises to show elite I can accept. I was very set on the Saints pick needing to be top ten. It ended up exactly at ten. Now the draft boards are getting much clearer. Thinking tenth isn’t good enough now. Still early to lock anything in yet. But at this point it looks like 8 is the draft position needed. RB and TE is the 9 and 10. Nothing set in stone for me on Big Board yet. Too focused on our season to dive in deep enough on my full draft thoughts. Special looking season has me behind on my draft prep.

That's the challenge for a running QB.  Your whole life you won football games by running.  How do you stop?  I

I want to agree with what you are saying here…but you realize Carolina traded McCaffrey to the Niners, right? Really muddles up your point here.

Not at all.... Carolina has improved.   SF was already a dominant running team.  CMC specifically adds to their passing game.

It’s a distraction. Our OC and DC are in the mix for the Texans HC job. So you can assume the other openings they are on the list somewhere for them as well. Maybe it’s better to let our OC get the interview out of the way as soon as possible. Then he can move on and concentrate on the tasks at hand. Postponing you’d have to believe will just extend his prep and thoughts towards planning for the job interview.

Other QBs getting paid this offseason also. Cuts a bit of slack on the pressure being on Hurts. Don’t believe they’ll target him to pressure to break all the contract records.
