A Good offer is a 5th round pick and getting that salary off the books

Great, who would be willing to do that? IDK of any team that would do it.Alshon hasn't played in years, his health issues are a factor, noone has seen him play this year.Anyone with a brain gives a hard pass on him.I think we are flat out stuck with him.maybe he comes back better than ever, but I dont want in him midnight green after this year regardless

If we want to truly trade Alshon it will happen likely be late conditional pick

Oline, and specifically oline depth, is literally the least of this team's problems right now. I would rank it between "the cheerleaders aren't hot enough" and "I am triggered by the word Cox."

Of course it's a problem. To say otherwise is foolish. We have problems all over now.If you go to a game to watch the cheerleaders, your team sucks

So it's rather pointless then, because now you are out a WR you already paid for,for yet another crapshoot, late MINOR pick when he will go off the books in 4 months anyway.may as well use him up and get something back for your investment

Not really you get his money of the books which would be the main reason to why would trade him.

At this point whats the difference if you get the money off now, or at the end of the season? Is there some super talent we are getting? And BTW noone will trade ZIP if he can't get 2-3 decent games in(past the deadline). So I dont see a trade happening

Like 2m and a draft pick we could gain. And sure teams would take a flier on Alshon A. He can only be traded if he is healthy and can pass a physical B. When he was healthy he showed he could still play so easily see a playoff team taking a flier on him for a late conditional pick

Last years WR draft class was pretty stellar, those guys are either producing or will soon(even late pick Hightower). I don't see any teams begging for the services of an older player coming off injury. Some teams may be down 1 guy, they are not going to panic and make the stupid move to trade for Alshon. They will play their drafted WR's.it was a great class which hurts the values of  the "elderly"

And all that has to happen before the deadline

Just sign TO,he said he can still play and he's not hurt lol

Normally how that works for a trade lol... trade deadline like 3 weeks away and most trade talks don’t ramp up until closer to the deadline...

Not to stressed about it i do think we should be sellers and ride our youngster since no point in winning a terrible East with a old roster

Well no doubt we are sellers, the point being there are no buyers with a limited time frame.Only team I could see benefit from Alshon AT THIS POINT are the Ravens (if they are planning a SB drive)

I wasn’t talk just Alshon I was talking essentially anyone on our roster... 3 weeks is a long time to be sellers in the NFL and most of the action likely be at the final week leading up to the deadline

OK we were talking about Alshon, then you shift gears lol

My bad just stating that I believe we need to sell during the deadline move the old guys off the roster free up cap get whatever draft capital we can. Ride the youngsters if they win the division at 6-9-1 at least they got experience and we should have some hope for the future.

If we win with all these old guys we suck and know nothing about what we have going forward

Well, if he performs, maybe someone will give us any sort of pick, Heck I would take a 7th!  Just to unload that salary. Some team having Wr issues may take a flyer on him if he looks good....

The IF's are the killer.Even WE don't know what we have.Hard to judge his value(if any) until he plays and can stay on the field. Thats alot of IF's to happen in 2.5 weeks.I don't think teams will be falling all over for him even after a game or 2.How is the rust factor? Can he get the chemistry back with Wentz? If I am in need of a WR,this is not my first stop

Honestly if I was in need for a WR Alshon likely would be high on my list for the simple fact he can be had for next to nothing as long as he is healthy and as stated the trade wouldn’t even go through unless he passed a teams physical

Though if I’m a contender first team I’d likely call if I want WR help would likely be ATL.... See if they willing to part with Julio... Next might give Bengals a call for Green see if he could be had cheap.

So,as I said it's not my first stop lol

I believe we figured it out as 6 mil in savings with a trade

A good breakdown of Hightower against the Steelers.

It's nice that this guy agreed with me that the throw to the endzone was late. Not excusing Hightower for not making the catch, but it should have been made easier for him. What is nice though is that he is getting open against a top cover corner in the league. Haden is no joke. A former top 10 selection and three time pro bowler. And Hightower got open time and time again. This kid is going to be a star. You want a wr who can get separation and stretch the field? He's doing it every week. If our oline was healthy, this kid would have a ton of big plays.

So,if we still have a meager shot at a division title and he can PLAY why trade him? Once again until he gets 2-3 games in noone will be interested.someone would have to be pretty desperate(or stupid) to buy out that contract and sacrifice a draft pick off of a 1 game return
