Really?  How many sacks has he allowed compared to your boy Miles?

What you miss...there is a reason he is on the field for key downs.

Simple math...Sanders plays 59% of the snaps...( this was a couple weeks ago, any changes are insignificant)

If you had 3rd down on every sequence....that's 66% of downs being run situation.   The fact is he comes off the field when it's the key downs.  He is great in the no pressure situation, we've seen for 4 years now as to why he has to come off the field on key downs.

It's great you want elite talent.  He isn't that.  Also,we see how you don't need that at RB to win. The elite RBs haven't held the Lombardi (other than Lynch) since probably Terell Davis.   The game has changed.

Now you want to spin it to where I say you can out anyone at RB. It's not what I'm saying...I'm saying give me 3 adequate guys and your fine. Especially at this point where we need to rebuild both lines.

I'm not spending a 1st round pick or over $5 mil for a RB.  Let alone one I need to take off the field on key downs.

If Gainwell gets 240 yards...take his % of rush attempts and see how that would work.  It's not 240 ×3.   You might be pompous and narcissistic, but I know you are at least intelligent enough to know that's not the way to view it.

Gainwell comes in to block

Does slightly more than Stoll

When referring to your post about I called it moments…duh..yeah

I’ll bring the discussion down to your level No Mas. I love blocking backs and being wrong even in only hindsight view points.

Wonder if Stoll stays. He tries really hard, but limited talent. Nobody else stepping into that 2 role. Calc should step up next year,so maybe Stoll is expendable, but Jackson has injury issues

Stoll has his role

We are better at 3WR formations. You get Stoll and Gainwell in it’s heavy pass protection package. Stoll isn’t just a lineman blocking either. Guy is really good at tracking those moving targets downfield.

No other TE plays Stoll position. There are 3-5 different TE roles.

Not what I asked

So we need 5 TE's? yes I am aware,I played the position, but 2-3 TE's should be able to handle all the sets,we don't need 5

While Sanders watches from the sideline.

Good thing we have the bye

The bye is basically an opening round win.  Except better because you rest and then play home games until the SB.

We have young dudes on the cheap. Doing absolutely fine in their backup roles. No need to worry about replacing them yet.   We are going to retool due to age and the one year deals that were setup up. Plus losing Sanders, Dillard and Seamulo.

Really guys like Gainwell or Stoll shouldn't be a concern at all, both locked in on the cheap.

On one hand I'd like to see Dallas lose; as always.

On the other though, I'd like to face Dallas in the PO's and DESTROY them lol. 44-6 is a nice outcome.

Playoff fantasy tonight GB... I'll be drafting with the guys soon.  Be interesting to see how it goes.

We basically have 10 guys we need to make decisions on. Not going to be able to keep them all,so will be interesting to see who we keep

So do we deliberately just take a step back next year and be smart? Why I speak about Championship Windows. Rosie’s path doesn’t really open them up. It’s go for it this year….then downhill forward…like 2017. Why I was not excited about trading away our third first round pick.

I agree with you. Never said we need five TE. Goedert can play any of the roles really. Maybe add Stoll in some HBack type sets. I like Calcatarra. Really seems to understand he needs to improve his blocking to keep a job. Pretty smooth with his routes. Seems like a decent football IQ he came in with. Good third string TE. Think he could learn some emergency WR roles. So we could go empty backfield and such. Need three TEs though. So gotta consider the chance of injury. A fourth guy is needed for competition and the inevitable. We consistently do well drafting and developing TEs. So I still wouldn’t complain if they draft one day two. Really make the position one of strength or have trade bait.

Sweat is a tough situation. That freaking thing last year keeping him out of the playoff game. His injury when he was young that had many believing his huge potential and future was done. Clearly a player that will push it and play almost regardless. Really up to the medical staff and franchise to be smart with him. Such a great draft pick and then signing. Got a pass rusher for many years as long as they don’t do anything stupid.

After he just had several carries. They’ve really utilized him in such a way to keep him around and extend him. Really limited his workload until this season. Still didn’t over do it. Clearly a player entering his prime.
