The bye is basically an opening round win.  Except better because you rest and then play home games until the SB.

Without the uplifting confidence building postseason victory so badly needed after hitting the lowest point to finish the regular season. Team needs to find that swagger again. We have excellent player leadership. Can the coaches push the right buttons here to get us out of this funk? Flip the switch for the postseason essentially.

Or dullass loses, jerruh fires Mcarthy, hire another mediocre one as no sane one would work under him, they spend another season adjusting to a new system while their overpaid player contracts peter out and jerruh still doesn't get another SB.

I sure learned enough around here not to assume to speak for everybody else. So MY views…are MY own. So I share MY thoughts and MY opinions. Obviously feel knowledgeable about the subject of the Eagles, football and plenty about all that is the NFL. So I’M opinionated. I feel I’M open minded also though. Opposing pints of view that are well made I do consider. Plenty of times….especially in the past…there were details and points made that add to the idea or subject. Think I can say that everybody still here has given me knowledgeable well thought out educated opinions that added to…or made me adapt MY thoughts. Sometimes we just differ on opinions….that’s ok too. I feel no need to convert everyone over to be and think just like ME. But I strive to bring many different angles to this Board. Eagles, NFL, college, general humor….since I’m on such a personal note explaining MYSELF….I strive to challenge and educate….not always just stating MY points of view…but pointing out all angles to consider on subjects. In the end I strive to be a good guy. I’m generally a very helpful person that tries to be positive mostly. But I don’t get caught in the wash of hype….see the flaws when our GM the season before was GM of the year. See the building block qualities of hope when things are going poorly. I’M incredibly emotional about MY Eagles. Yet separate those when it comes to the business decisions for the franchise. Hardest example right now is Brandon Graham. I want us to keep him around a year too long than the other way around. He’s playing fantastic! Gotta manage him….but that’s a guy that’s earned everything we got. I Feel he has been an All Time Eagles! I also feel I’M not celebrating a SB victory in my lifetime without him. So here’s the "I told you so!” Everybody was tough on him early in his career. I saw it. Production stats didn’t show it enough for FL type guys that rely on numbers. But you could see he had all those intangibles. Hunger! Gamer! Great example of noticing everything. This board would have shipped him out before his first extension. He steps up the bigger the moment. Not big enough. Not fast enough. Not strong enough. Does clearly talk trash enough 😂🤣 smart guy that flips that switch when he hits the field. Super talented…but not in the most obvious ways. Does it his own way! Keep BG! All Time Eagles! Kelce the same! Those two guys I don’t say good bye to. I’VE been pissed about keeping old sentimental favorites way too long. Those two earned it all day in my book. Both still playing at extremely high levels also. Peters stayed for so many years past what I wanted it drove me nuts. Then that whole G to T money crap at the end was especially dumb. Kelce and BG changed my fan path. I just was never going to celebrate a Super Bowl victory with MY team. So many years of Eagles luck had me convinced we couldn’t do it. Tampa Bay won it…for crying out loud. But I wore it like a badge of honor. There was no such thing as a fair weather bandwagon Eagles fan. To walk in MY shoes meant die hard…and gluten for punishment! I don’t like speaking for everybody much…but every single person here knows exactly what I’m talking about. Never was easy being US! Brutal most of the time. Everybody here has a backbone and loyalty! No other way we’ve come together around everything WE’VE been dealt. I’m a FU2k1ng Eagles FAN!

Or could be pissed enough and feel his future chances and legacy weighing on him. Think Sean Peyton would take the job. Really don’t want that.

Jerruh got the money and all the extra benefits to get any coach. He can pay. He can offer his super private jet. Offer that crazy fantasy yacht.

Jones needs to feed his ego. He can’t like how they haven’t won crap in forever.

Right now Cook?

How did you come to Gainwell being better right now? You gotta back this statement up with something.

Haha. Fair point. I have no argument from a stat perspective. Eye test when given the opportunities. Much better blitz protection. Strong runner. Catches the ball when thrown to. Clearly the coaches like Sanders the best as he gets the most touches and plays the most downs, so the coaches favor him. So my "eye test” means nothing. 😱

So do we deliberately just take a step back next year and be smart? Why I speak about Championship Windows. Rosie’s path doesn’t really open them up. It’s go for it this year….then downhill forward…like 2017. Why I was not excited about trading away our third first round pick.

Because that 4th safety makes the difference.

After he just had several carries. They’ve really utilized him in such a way to keep him around and extend him. Really limited his workload until this season. Still didn’t over do it. Clearly a player entering his prime.

And that clearly comes off the field on almost every key play.

Like the 2018 Atlanta playoff game

In reality all the BS movie stuff doesn't matter...just need to win 3 games by 1 point and there will be a parade.

We have Aj for 4 years. He's going downhill after this year? With that dratfed S we could have a DYNASTY!!!! for 5 years!!!! Stupid Howie

Who cares.  Your fear and love of Dallas is hilarious...they haven't done sh@t since buying Sanders away from San Francisco.  Even Parcells couldn't win there... I forget where did Sean Peyton get his start?

Who cares....  why live life afraid of anything,  especially sports.  The idea is you want to be the best,  in that scenario you should never fear anyone.  You lose so be it.

Hurts and Brown 24...AJ 25... never have we had this situation as Eagles fans.    Finally got a chance for a WR duo to be here for a while together...both pro bowl.   And the same QB to pair with them...  nothing this franchise has EVER seem before.

Goedert is locked up for a few more years too.    Oh...but if Sanders goes it's all down hill...lol

I agree with you. Never said we need five TE. Goedert can play any of the roles really. Maybe add Stoll in some HBack type sets. I like Calcatarra. Really seems to understand he needs to improve his blocking to keep a job. Pretty smooth with his routes. Seems like a decent football IQ he came in with. Good third string TE. Think he could learn some emergency WR roles. So we could go empty backfield and such. Need three TEs though. So gotta consider the chance of injury. A fourth guy is needed for competition and the inevitable. We consistently do well drafting and developing TEs. So I still wouldn’t complain if they draft one day two. Really make the position one of strength or have trade bait.

I don't see a draft pick used on a TE. We're good at finding and developing late guys. Calc was a nice pick-up,Stoll is fine as TE 3 unless we find better

14-3 we need more swagger? Anyone with a better record?

So what do you rely on? "Intangibles"? And putting words in my mouth where I never said such a thing. However numbers count, they ALWAYS have. That's how players get the BIG MONEY??? Nah I have intangibles so pay me??? Not how it works whether you believe that or not. if the numbers aren't there you are replaced. Ask Mr. Carr about that

Whatever...move on from the other planet...  here is what I ended up with for the playoff fantasy draft.... picked 3 out of 7..

Daniel Jones, Pollard, Fournette,  Deebo, Lamb, Kittle, Godwin, Bengals D and Dicker.

Hopefully Jurgens can take over, then we need to replace Lane or at least get a decent enough BU prepared. Other old men. Can't keep everyone. Fluid every year. We have lost of promising youth but we' re not done yet

Jones may cost you,the rest seem fine to me. Then again I had great players who didn't show on game day LOL. Kittle was a great pick up,Purdy uses him quite a bit. Bengals D should be great this week. That division is always low scoring when they play each other. Lamar is hampered,so you should be in good shape(Now watch the Ravens score 55 just because I said this lol)

Pollard is outplaying Zeke lol

Never did playoff fantasy, sounds fun. Can you still use the FA wire? Or are you basically stuck with the team you have now?

Eye test is most important I believe

Playing five or six DBs 90 plus percent of the time…wake up! You need somebody backing up all those spots. Why you seemingly understand it everywhere else but the Secondary? Totally want to disregard RB room also

1269 yards and 11 TDs. You really just hate Sanders. Siri clearly wasn’t a fan when he took over. Really took him off the field like you said. But Sanders won Siri over.

But yeah, if you need the RB to block….bring in your third string boy. But he’s screwed up his assignments too much for my liking. He’s capable. But seemingly mentally isn’t getting things very quickly.
