Maybe year four he’ll learn his blocking assignments.

But Gainwell looked better on a few plays lately. I’ll give him that.

I just could see pushing our advantage. Easy to see how we could dominate even more on the ground. We have excellent run blocking Oline. Get two very good RB here and really punish teams. You know they’d thrive. So it’s a closer to sure thing move.

I want two so we can keep the pressure on. But also one gets hurt…it’s still a reliable facet of the game.

Never did playoff fantasy, sounds fun. Can you still use the FA wire? Or are you basically stuck with the team you have now?

One draft, that's it.

Playing five or six DBs 90 plus percent of the time…wake up! You need somebody backing up all those spots. Why you seemingly understand it everywhere else but the Secondary? Totally want to disregard RB room also

So right now...you believe having the 4th safety or not is going to be why would will or won't win the Superbowl.

A rookie .... that would barely see the field?

And at the moment.   After seeing everything in hindsight....you would trade everything back for that rookie 4th safety?

It's a simple yes or no...no need for long response.     If answer isn't a simple one word ...."yes"    we all know it's BS.

Be a man... and either say yes to the fact that you would trade everything RIGHT NOW for a rookie bench player or just stop.

Also...if the answer is yes.... then I want you to also say that you 100% believe they would have made the CGJ trade after drafting a first round safety for the first time in franchise history.

Call it right now or stop the bs.

1269 yards and 11 TDs. You really just hate Sanders. Siri clearly wasn’t a fan when he took over. Really took him off the field like you said. But Sanders won Siri over.

Love Sanders as a guy in exactly his role...take the bulk of the early downs and come off on key plays.   I believe he is perfect for that role.

I'm not paying him $7 mil for that.  Nor would I pay any RB that money for that particular role.

You want to use CMC as your " I'm smarter than No Mas " moment... look at SF...he is on the field for all the key plays.  His contribution in the pass game is what is most important right now...they are running it fine with the other guys.

But yeah, if you need the RB to block….bring in your third string boy. But he’s screwed up his assignments too much for my liking. He’s capable. But seemingly mentally isn’t getting things very quickly.

Because we haven't seen Sanders screw up constantly this year in " assignments"   its exactly why he comes off the field on key plays.   Team football.

Dude was doing it from his first game.  What are you talking about?    Year 4 for Sanders and we've seen him give up sacks, hurries and QB hits!   What are you watching differently than the rest of us?

A rookie is on the field…hello. Undrafted kid at that. Blankenship

Seeing plenty of the field

I would think CGJ would be allowed to stay at S on his return. Then have my guy with the blazing speed takeover slot and Start at Dime. The undrafted guy Blankenship would be the fourth. Behind the top pick stud

Your whole point is rookie S fourth string. We have the undrafted rookie S fourth stringer been playing. Wallace busted. But we’ve been forced to play him. Are you drunk or what?

Pretty confident the rookie first rounder would be ahead of the undrafted guy.

Yes. Answers twice directly

He’d be the starting Dime. Now the starting slot.

Would have taken over for CGJ

Pretty perfect. Rookie learns from top pending FA

They completely disregarded the position. So I can’t say they would have. Should have? Absolutely!

Am I smarter than No Mas? Well Niners and Panthers were your examples. So clearly here yes. Terrible point here. You’re on an absolute roll. You make a point about Panthers did great bailing on the stud running back but include the Niners who trade for the stud RB.I’m not happy the Niners got McCaffrey. Really makes them much tougher. Really going to be a huge playmaker where we have weakness. Not sure if we improved the tackling or not yet. He’ll really prove the case

Sander role of being like the fourth best rushing back league wide? Yep, killing it for us!Him and Hurts gashing people!

He’s dominated up and down the field. Scored quite a bit. Seems very key to our success to me. But of course, don’t need him getting beat up blocking. Put the scrub third stringer in for that. He can even go out for a pass if his guy doesn’t rush

Or dress Sermon. Or a PS RB to block

11 TDs seems like key downs to me

  • Author

But key downs to potentially protect Hurts let’s get a better blocking RB for the role next year and going forward. Lesson learned. Should be cheap to find a better blocking FB type

I think Stoll could do it

I saw Siri favor Gainwell over Sanders day one. Then watched coach grab Gainwell to chew him out several times on him blowing his job. Watched Gainwell slide back. Was the hand picked Siri choice. Sanders was another guys RB. Watched Siri fall in love with Sanders dominating. Completely killing it more the most any RB. Huge season. Gainwell kept sliding though. Scott overtook him also.

I’ll give you the elite rusher isn’t elite blocker. Don’t want him taking too much of that anyway. Concentrate on him gashing people with carries.

I can’t explain anymore to you that your stuck in time No Mas. Nickle is base D now. Dime is second most preferred D. That top rookie would be backing up three spots. Starting Dime.

  • Author

It’s been set up ideal in hindsight. Have the top S show how it’s done. Then when he went down the rook takes over. Top S FA leaves and we have his replacement ideally trained and vetted. Not forced into the massive role

Exactly what Cincy is doing with their top S situation where one of my top guys went.

Bills play Dime or Nickle 93 percent of the time. Wake up. Not a bench player. He would have likely taken over starting Nickle and Dime roles. You know those bench guys that play only over 90 percent of the time.

He’d keep the bench warm on those heavy goaline downs

Just can’t beat this stuff in your head anymore than I have. Felt that way when we traded with Saints. Felt that way on draft day. Seen how even more now I would want to do it.

If we drafted your S(round 1 guys should start immediately) Why would we have gotten CJG? You're sitting your round 1 pick? How can he learn behind CGJ if he doesn't play? What about the other picks we got in addition for postponing that round 1 pick over to the next draft? Those didn't help with the rebuild? Without that 10 pick our first pick would be 31(now we have both) That 10 pick should be to address an aging player. Without that pick, thats one more problem you did NOT solve. Howie does NOT draft DB's that early, does NOT!!!!! I would look for one in round 3 this next draft, either S or CB. If we had taken your S,we would not have gone for CJG and therefore the rook would not be learning behind anyone,he would be starting and learning on the job and Howie went "all in" this year and with a rook S learning on the job,we wouldn't be where we are IN MY OPINION. I hope we can keep CJG here. We shall see

CJG is "disregarding the position"???? YIKES
