This is not normal to have 2 guys like this on the same OL.   Both of these guys are also exceptional in run blocking... both can run like LBs and block in space too.

Neither will be here forever.   If you truly believe in the young QB1 as a long term solution... then a priority MUST be finding the guys to replace both of these plus Seamulo, Dillard..etc.  The OL must be a too priority along with the DL moving forward.

Kind of cool that Dickerson is going to the PB(already). Real happy with that left side!!! Going to be tough replacing Kelce and Lane, but we're going to have to "git' er done" as they say in redneck FL. The fact Kelce likes Jurgens means alot to me. IDK when Kelce walks away. I believe finding a ROT in this draft should happen. OG we could probably shore up in FA

So if I am Howie(which I am not) I would like to keep CJG and pay a fair rate to do so. That would be a top priority for me. Like to keep Bradberry. I would make a decent offer and let him turn it down. Blank has been a nice surprise(like Scott and Mailata were) and I can hope he keeps getting better. I would look at a CB selection in round 3.Like to keep Slay, but need to find a young guy that can take over in a year or so(Talent but not "NFL ready" which sounds exactly like a round 3 choice). It's a fairly deep CB class with enough talent in round 3 that there is no need to push it nor reach. If there is one we like I suspect we can move up a few spots. It would basically be our last pick(as of NOW) My mock targets may be NONE of what Howie is looking at,but I believe in the positions I have in any specific order(edge,DT,ROT) which leaves our last pick for whatever. My thoughts are CB or RB selected there, although as I said the RB class really has no standouts except for Robinson, maybe Gibbs. I believe Howie hits the FA's for RB and CB because that's how he operates. Once again I offer Sanders a nice contract and let him turn me down. Let's recall how badly LeVon Bell did when he went to the Jets. I believe Sanders likes it here. If he turns me down, then I look at a guy like Jacobs from LV who was expecting to play for a winner(as was Adams). Being on a contender has alot of pull over a few extra bucks playing on a trash team. Should be fun to see the moves made this offseason. Happy with Hurts progress, better than I expected. He's earned a contract here. WR room,no complaints. We can shore up a bit with the BU's,let them fight for a job. but they are adequate as it stands. Goedert is excellent, like to see Calc emerge as the solid 2. I am not very good with scouting LB's,I will leave that to others on here. Do we keep White or move on from him??? I will defer to the guys who know LB's much better than I

You lost me when you said you would offer any RB a nice contract.  I'm totally not on board with spending on a luxury position when I need my lines addressed.

BPA draft pick.

Col. Jessup , did you order the code red.

If you say that the only reason you got CGJ was out of last minute desperation and that you had no master plan for S.. then why would you trade for him after addressing the position by drafting a first round safety.

Can you explain that Colonel?

Truth is, you cut these guys lose. You had Markenson sign the phony transfer orders, you changed the log book at the airport.... and you would never have discussed trading for CGJ without a master plan.

What is a nice contract? Varies by person lol

Joemas - you're always BPA, but that can't be. Let's say you're set at QB and have a solid b/u. bpa is a QB, do you still take the QB? That's not our case as io we wont be having a solid b/u QB, but that's the scenario I'm laying for a weighted bpa, weigh it vs needs. Doesn't matter as we'll most likely be taking linemen 1st, although I have my eyes on a CB but w/ HR's record he will prefer to hire a proven one.

If we drafted your S(round 1 guys should start immediately) Why would we have gotten CJG? You're sitting your round 1 pick? How can he learn behind CGJ if he doesn't play? What about the other picks we got in addition for postponing that round 1 pick over to the next draft? Those didn't help with the rebuild? Without that 10 pick our first pick would be 31(now we have both) That 10 pick should be to address an aging player. Without that pick, thats one more problem you did NOT solve. Howie does NOT draft DB's that early, does NOT!!!!! I would look for one in round 3 this next draft, either S or CB. If we had taken your S,we would not have gone for CJG and therefore the rook would not be learning behind anyone,he would be starting and learning on the job and Howie went "all in" this year and with a rook S learning on the job,we wouldn't be where we are IN MY OPINION. I hope we can keep CJG here. We shall see

Additional second rounder in 2024?

Postponing our first round pick until next year?

If you wait until the team is headed downward to rebuild you've waited too long

RB position should be less than $5 mil combined

Again...we have gone through this 100000 times ....you don't take the same position over and over again

Why does this need explanation EVERY YEAR?

Joemas,  if you have the punter ranked highest are you taking him in round 3.. if you have 3 QBs but QB is ranked highest are you taking a QB?

Stop with the extreme situations.   I have no idea where BPA came in today...only time I mentioned it was when GB posted about Dickerson.  Who was obviously taken as the BPA as there were bigger needs at the time.

Other than watching the pick # from the Saints...I have interest in 2023 draft yet.   None

Did you wake from the dream you had where after drafting a S round one... unprepared Howie also trades for CGJ.

So you are rebuilding when you are the top seed though? I totally have a different definition it seems.

I think it’s time to be all in

Don’t like giving away anything that would improve this years team. Plus a draft pick is long term. No sacrifice. Rookie will be here four more years still.

Davis isn’t long term potential here?

So you routinely see teams that are contenders postpone draft picks towards the future and consider them rebuilding? I can’t get the point here. Just adding tools to maintain to contend I would think. Only had one loss with our MVP QB….that’s as far away from rebuilding as I can possibly see.

Was wise to postpone the first round draft pick. Why get any more talent here now to try and win it all? Much more important to try to not suck as bad next year. Plus having that rookie this year would mean he’s more experienced next year. Be terrible for  both squads. Next year’s team is most important. Just rebuild while we are the best in the conference…us…and Chicago. Trying to put a team together.

Round 5 is certainly later(lol) and by then whomever you "hand picked" was LOOOOONG gone, but keep that spin machine running on high. How do you know he was NOT the BPA? Just your opinion??? Like the sad state of trying to re-do a trade that was already done that you can't do a damn thing about?? How many years are we going to hear about "that S that saved the Eagles franchise who was cause for the Bengals to GO...... ALL..... THE..... WAY"? Unbelievable.  I'm sure the Bengals other 52 guys have no bearing whatsoever

They value the position. Bills do also. Are these teams ideas proving successful right now?

IDK 4 mil per for Sanders is unreasonable? It's not alot when you compare what is paid for other positions. 3.5-4 I would be fine with. Prices are only going to go UP. Any year where they ever decreased the cap? Add Scott in there,so it's no a daunting amount here.No sense arguing over a few 100k. If he wants 8 see ya

This is the thinking when we won the SB then let the team fall apart. It's fluid, you should ALWAYS be rebuilding as money allows
