Only 2% chance of rain in Philly Sat pm

I’ve just been pointing out how weak the position room was since TC. Seemingly alone. Still see it that way.

CGJ, Epps and Blankenhip is a weak group compared to other S groups in the NFL?

Your whole point is Rosie did so bad he lucked into doing good. Great! Bradberry also fell in our laps.

No...my whole point is that Howie/ Lurie....and the entire organization since 1933 have not drafted a S round 1 .   And if they would have done so this year, they would NOT have made the  CGJ trade afterwards.

Every other thing I have not disagreed with you at all.  But in your mind you need to be the stand alone " I called it guy"

For some reason constantly batching about something makes you seem smarter?   But I don't think anyone on here would disagree with having good players on the roster.

You just like to spin the discussion ...

Very simple...  if the idiot S you like in Cincy was drafted round 1... do you think the Eagles invest more picks or were even on the radar for CGJ that late in camp?

I think the weapons they have are a factor.

Their lines are the biggest reason they have been dominant.

Brady fell into New England's lap.  It happens.

Not concerned about the past, just about the next game. Gnats did a good job on Jefferson. Think we'll see 2 & 3 WR sets? Can gnats cover those?

The key to this game is Wallace and Scott on defense.

A big play was when the defender made a fantastic play and knocked it out of Waddles hands. QB didn’t get it out there enough. Waddle slow to get up. Holding his arm.

Holding his arm ….because he needed an excuse for not catching the ball. Like when DBs miss a play they should DEFINITELY have made….all of the sudden they get a boo boo.

Gotta hope we be been deliberately holding back a bunch lately. Knowing we were in. Maybe so much it was part of the cause of our struggles at the end.

Welp,y'all know how I feel, about coasting. Ask the Chargers about that and why I don't wish to begin the "ball stall" in the 3rd 1/4. I hope in post season we keep our foot on the gas for 60 minutes. I'm supposing with the teams we face,we won't have a choice

FL, what’s happened to your boy Jefferson?

Seems like he got figured out or something. Been shut down for weeks.

Should we be concerned about AJ?

IDK,week 2 they should have blown us off the map. Cousins isn't the best QB around, still he has some top rate weapons. Bad coaching and play calling? A Mistake letting Diggs walk? Seems to me Thielen has become "not the player he used to be". I think they are losing/lost the trench wars(well it's over now lol). Cook not getting those gaping holes like he used to,he actually has to work now and why we need to keep our Oline top of the pile. We know Lane is good, still some issues at RG. I'm opting got find a ROT next draft and hoping we can find a top rate FA RG which won't cost us all that much. Really pleased with the left side. You know they are good when you DON'T hear their names called. So IDK what changes the Vikes made on the strong side of their line O. I can't follow every team

Does the philosophy never adapt? I understood the thinking more before. S were cheaper. Getting FA were available and affordable. Rosie sucks at drafting them also.

IDK,For whatever reasons Howie is gun shy drafting them. Howie doesn't like to have egg on his face and why he drafts positions he is good at. Like all of us we do what we are good at and avoid things we aren't. He is human after all. Remember he took a year off th learn to be a "football guy" and not just a manager. Maybe he i still a work in progress. He is dipping his toes in the water getting Slay, White,Bradberry,CJG so he seems to be understanding the positions need more looking at. He was lucky all these players became available and he was able to land them. Now we will see if he keeps paying attention. We only have 4 high picks next draft(at those point) and it's a decent line draft and we need to get players in on both lines,so once again I suspect no DB's drafted high. I believe Howie goes more with "Intense pass rush" as it has been in the past. Makes the secondary a little less pressing if you are getting 7 sacks a game, but I believe this year he has seen with his own eyes what talent there brings to your team. So maybe he is learning more about it. meantime I would like to re-sign the guys we have. These would be a priority signings for me. The draft lines right up with the position that should be high on our board. Edge,DT,ROT,there is decent talent all through rounds 1/2. Its a fairly deep secondary class, that talent from what I see extends into earl round 4,thus a DB in round 3(basically our final pick AT THIS TIME) would be in order. That is the exact order I have in my mock as of now. You add my edge and DT picks along with Davis and you have  brick wall for 4-5 years. My ROT choice is fine in round 2 even if lane stays another year, which we DON'T know right now. I have a CB in round 3,easily could be a S there. Winning a Sb effects your off season so we'll see how far we go and whom else we can attract. Sorry for the "essay"

Quick accurate passing really just hasn’t been stopped since Gannon has been here.

Nothing to do with Gannon. I don't know of any coaches that can stop those if they are executed. Pass rush is the only way to stop those and why we need to crank up the volume there. If they are both quick AND accurate not much you can do except not allow YAC's. Brady made a career out of doinking with quick and accurate passes

I think mostly it’s all on ourselves. We have the team to win. At a low point though right now. Play well …we win. Come out flat..,we lose. They have the coaching advantage to me. Funny because all our assistances are interviewing for promotions. Which is a big distraction. It clearly isn’t a positive.

I still say there should be no allowance of contact with teams that are still playing in post season. Should be a RULE. NO CONTACT. It's disruptive and unnecessary. No contact for 48 hours after playoff elimination is a rule I could support. Teams can wait the extra 2 months it takes. This just seems like the definition of "tampering". Even 48 hours after the SB has been played won't kill anyone's plans

Kittle tearing it up right now too. Purdy getting too much time for reads, never really gets pressured(hat tip to their O line)

Did the Chargers effectively " ball stall"?   You need to get first downs and keep the chains moving.   Just checking?

KISS(keep it simple stupid) this game. Like to see Goedert used more. I'm glad he had a "warm up game" now we need him. I think our DB's will do a better job on Slayton than the VIkes did, he really hurt them at key times. Well, we're going to HAVE to do a better job lol. From now on will be seeing what Siri has learned. He's been better this year adjusting on the fly and not waiting until 1/2 time like last year. He can still be out coached. You face the best in post season,he needs to be up to the task. IDK that the Gnats can cover all our receivers along with Goedert. Hurts/Siri job to find the weak link and exploit it

They blew a 27-0 lead. Their offense stalled and their D left the building. Stopped doing what worked, thought they could wuss their way to a win and got burned

See i would invest the $$ you all want to give Sanders.... and use that as the difference between getting a decent RG and a top notch one.  The impact players on the lines can have your Raheem Mostert, McKinnon, Mitchell, Wilson Jr, Boston Scott, Gainwell,  Sanders all run behind them.

Plus they protect your QB that will sign long term.   The lines absolutely make the difference as to why you see the Eagles and the 49ers as the favorites...and why Dallas and Tampa are a step behind.    You can also see the impact the improved lines have with the Giants.

Right....their offense stalled...so they didn't do any ball control kill the clock.

Who said I am giving Sanders alot of money? I probably feel he is worth a bit more than you do,but I'm not paying out a ridiculous amount. See what the RB market looks like after the season,or maybe we do a re-sign  before it ends. No matter, we should have enough money to get a good RG in FA if we want one. They don't break the bank. Cap limits go up every year too. I see only 2(maybe even 1) RB going in the draft in round 1. Should tell you all you need to know

Got too conservative, quit doing what worked. Im' fine ball stalling with a RESULT(even a FG),they ball stalled with NO result. 3 and outs also kill/gas your defense

I don't disagree with what Sanders will get paid or " worth"    I just don't want to pay it.  I would prioritize other things with that $$

A discount for him would be to take $5 mil.   I'm not paying that.   That $5 mil can be used elsewhere
