It's ironic....Jim Johnson always had a good group of guys in his secondary....never really had the great DL to get pressure without manufacturing it via blitz.    Would have loved to see him get that and see what he could have achieved.

Players matter.  That's why you guys spend hours researching draft picks. It's why the combine draws a bigger audience on TV than playoff games from other sports.   It's why the draft is a 3 day event.

The DBs have helped with the turnovers,sacks points against,  probably the run game and every defensive category.   Same with adding an elite proven pass rusher in Reddick as the first move of this past offseason. Adding the LBs.  And the development of Edwards and Epps.

Every player matters.   

Nobody ever disputes that.

What we all see...the Eagles have a top roster.   We see that you can't get all pros at every back up position.   We see that if they kept the draft pick instead of trading for the Saints, that they would not have pro bowl CGJ on the roster.

Oh... and so does adding a run stuffing NT and two veterans at DT...they also help evert aspect of the defense either directly or indirectly.

Ok....so let's discuss now.   Sanders is a rusher... you are ok with him coming off the field on passing downs. You will pay him $7 mil a year just to rush the ball.   And he is the key to the postseason. 

So... wouldn't it be key to stop the similar thing on the opponent's team?   If our opponent can " stuff" Sanders... that's important right?   So the run stuffer Davis is an important player ..right?   As we saw what happened when he missed the Washington game and why we added the 2 vet DTs.  It wasn't to help the pass rush was it?

Actually...I can make a case that Davis, Suh and Joseph actually help the pass rush by playing early downs and stuffing the run to set up 3rd and long.

This kid was a big hit locally during the World Series.

The RB market being at 16 mil….paying Sanders half that is more than fair. I’ll repeat that I do believe Sanders is key to our accomplishments this season. Something I’ve been talking about since before the season even began. Not sure what your point is about Davis? In Gannon’s D he needs a run stopping DT. It was amplified by our poor tackling also. We are about to find out if we have solved it or not real quick. If we stop Barkley and McCaffrey we stand a good chance.

Davis will be fine w/ experience and coaching - fast for a guy that size.

For a big man Davis is extremely QUICK. IDK why ham expects a pro bowler year 1. I'm sure we will find a way to use that speed. Let the kid get settled in first

It's going to get worse,water running out in AZ,one town has been cut off from water for 17 days already. Lake Mead is drying out. Calif cuts off water to farmers to save minnows. FL was wiped out crop wise because of hurricanes. Better get a garden going(if they allow you to water it LOL)

They want to cut out gas stoves now (lmao) so learn to cook your hot dogs with a solar panel. Those panels work so well when it snows LOL. To run an electric stove/oven you will need about 3/4 acre of solar panels,better get busy.
