I'm going to call it now.   The easiest way for anyone to get paid... is to be in the MVP conversation.

It's a wild concept that actually playing well will probably allow you to earn more money... but hey...check for me.

You called that No Way was it possible we lose to the Saints while I was pointing out the exact possibilities of how it could occur. 13 wins I stated how two losses was very possible. You emphatically denied it even being possible.

This season no - can't depend on Davis rushing the passer - although it would be nice. Thing is, opposing teams will go the other way and we can trap them. Sequan getting better in the passing game, that's what needs the focus

Agreed, he was drafted to stop the running game. But lets' face facts, his blazing speed(and for a lineman I will use that word because he is as fast as RB's) is something you definetly take advantage of. I'm fine letting him do what we drafted him to do as he eases himself in,but as he blossoms out,see no reason he can't be used in "attack" mode. Limited play, yet he has 8 QB hurries . Seems to me there is potential there. NOT to tap that would be a severe coaching crime. I think it would be more than foolish to allow him to sit on his collegiate laurels and not use every facet of the game he can offer us. I really could care less where the QB pressure comes from, just GET THERE and using science, the distance is shorter fro a NT than an edge rusher. Now you have a speed NT with the shortest distance to the QB,why would you not exploit that?

Your 2022 leading rushers

Josh Jacobs 1653 yards.   6 wins

Derrick Henry  1538 yards.  7  wins

Nick chubb 1525 yards.   7 wins

20 wins and 31 losses... very important for the team to have that one leading rusher.

Good time to stop the list. Next were Barkley, Sanders, Cook and McCafffrey.

You mean Georgia. He came off the field for Carter….should be an even higher pick this season.

yes, thanks for the correction

We're 1st in mid range passing and designed runs? Runs I can see, didn't know the other

Hurts accuracy really picked up this year,we all wanted to see that from him. We also knew he didn't have a huge arm,but you can compete and do well if you are accurate. I understand we have some deep ball guys now. I believe you let Hurts throw in his comfort zone. If he has confidence throwing 12-20 yards, then let him. We have the players to do about anything we need done. They need to be reminded to MAKE THE CATCH before you make a football move. Secure the ball. NO way we can afford 4 turnovers from here out. We are a good YAC team, but drops are more costly,so make sure you got that ball in tight, even if you're stopped where you caught it. Siri should be pounding this home.I don't want us coming out flat like we do many times AT HOME. We play better AWAY,but this is big boy ball now. My goal would be the same goal they have, stop the run and have a QB spy. Both can hurt you on the ground,so take that away. I think we win the trench war(now I will read the article) LOL

Watch it again,it's offense vs defense match ups,not rankings for the same. Yeah do play action and try to limit the RPO. The first one needs to be established,if not you try the RPO. I see AJ and Goedert having a banner day. If we go deeper,I would look for Smith down the middle of the field. I feel we can burn their secondary if Hurts is "on"

Right...because top 3 makes the point, especially since there is the huge gap between Chubb and Barkley of 200 yards.   They were the clear top 3.

The top of the list has been my point for years..  you like to spin to where I say we don't even need an adequate RB...when clearly that's not the case as I've stated a million times, I'm fine with 3 adequate RBs.    Not 3 scrubs

I'm not paying money for a RB either way.

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/salaries/breakdown/running-back/ FWIW. IMO Sanders should make 5-6 mill per no more!!! The RB's above him are all 3 down workhorses.Of course I would prefer less. So 4 years at 20-24 mil would be my target area. I would prefer less per with more incentives built in to the contract. No need to just hand over the loot,so I would make alot of it incentive based. I'm sure Joe feels this is way high and ham feels it's way low,but that's the area for me. Sanders is probably the best 2 down back I see,so he needs paid as such, and add a few million dollar guys to work the RBBC

So wondering if being a "homer" would alter Howies historical decisions to avoid DB's. I sure like Porter from Penn st. He would be around where we pick. I still see lineman however, but on the off chance our guys are gone,Porter would be a great "consolation" prize. History tells me to not even think about this, but the "homer" thing could change his mind? I think my positional choices are fine, only question for me is where we take them. of course Howie will not choose anyone I have, but if we're going to replace Slay,Porter would be a fine choice. My mock hasn't changed as of now,but Howie is seeing what a good secondary can do. Maybe that along with his homer status would be enough to break tradition.

Our D is first in defending mid range passing he was telling us

Yeah we got alot of that early on with the +14 TO ratio against less than the top teams,so I would not hang my hat on that one

But you were talking about Hurts. It’s our D stats.

I was talking about Hurts accuracy, holding onto the ball and keys to winning the game. As of now every team is 0-0 read the dang post again lol. I posted this then said "ok now I will read the article" which I did in that order

To me that stat shows our D alignment and where we excel.

I’m not reading your post again. You quoted and responded to a post about our top ranked D…..with a whole diatribe about Hurts and our O. So just figured I’d help you understand what you were responding too.

The first one is clearly on our offense. I am fine with play action,I'm not an RPO fan(aka college offense), although we can do that if we MUST.I would rather establish the play action if possible before resorting to the RPO

I was responding to what 53 said not the article get it?? yeah don't read it again, just assume whatever you need to lol. May as well not read the next post I sent him either LMFAO. No need understanding what you are responding to. Comical. The "L" side of my stick chart is getting fuller with every post you make 🤣

Signed to the PS,they are going to let Maher kick. I imagine this is a make or break game for him. Let's see if they bring him up from the PS and roster him

I think that is a low number for Sanders.... for another team.  I don't want the Eagles to pay for that luxury.  They were the leading rushing team last year...Sanders didn't impact much.   The other 3 RBs scored 15 TDs.  I feel the RB is the effect not the cause.  Our franchise 24 year old QB needs the OL long term.  I save that money for better FA RG. Or give that to CGJ...an obvious impact player.

This is my favorite weekend of football... if every sport only had 8 playoff teams I would approve.  3 wins to a championship.  Let's go.

Five months prior I stated the easiest way for Hurts to lock in a new contract was to contend for MVP. Check. Same time I was stating how Sanders would have his best season and was key to our success. Check. I saw that obviously Gannon needed a Nose.  Davis is the run stuffer. Check. Was talking about trading back to get a S because the whole room was weak. Check. Was hesitant to trade with the Saints because this was a big year for us and would like to grow the young core together. Check. Actually became a SB contending potential season.

No disrespect at all….just a legit question: Why do you need/want credit for being right or wrong about something concerning the Eagles? They don’t pay you to be right or wrong, do they? I’m not saying you did or didn’t "call” it. I just want to know why it is SO important for you to get credit for something. Please help me understand this.

Welp we differ a bit because I would like to have the experience here. Gainwell is a spot use back,Scott is at times not effective,so if they need replaced I would like to have a solid back already here who knows the nuances of our system. So,for that I feel what I quoted as "my number" is fair. He said he would like to stay,so I say give him a fair wage and I don't feel that is overpaying. Maybe you do,that is your opinion. I'll just wait and see what Howie does.
