But I included coaches because I was real hit with Taylor’s job performance also.

To me Taylor just needs to be pass coordinator sole job. Bring in an experienced QB coach for Wentz that isn’t his buddy

This is the lamest of excuses to me every team is dealing with the same season. And we should be better off then most since we have had our staff in place now for 4 years going into year 5

Does the everybody is dealing with reasoning really matter? That isn’t a typical offseason. The guys who did the best during the pandemic isn’t necessarily the best guys.

Yes if team like KC was struggling or GB, Seattle, Baltimore  because of this off-season I’d say it’s the off-season but we are the team that’s struggling.... Blaming this off-season is just an excuse that I don’t accept

We had a good amount of staff still together. But we also had our biggest infusement of youth in awhile. Some of our pains also are that our draft picks were more developmental than nfl ready

We came into this year with 1 guy projected into a major role that was a rookie that was Reagor. Another lame excuse.

Guys got thrust into action because of the old roster and the injuries that came with it that Howie and Co. assembled.

Tackle depth is a real issue today. The three backup olinemen are Toth, Opeta and Juriga, and Toth is the only tackle. And considering he has never played, and no one else can even do it, we have some issues there.

My point though think we did a terrible job assembling a roster to be competitive while retooling that was the plan we didn’t want to just rebuild.... I do however think this 2020 class has a ton of promise I’ll even add adding Fulgham as part of it.

Now if Howie and Co. say we want to double down on this roster as is now and buy during the deadline fine but that to me says you think this roster can A. Win make the playoffs B. Make a serious push in the playoffs.

Now if your wrong and this team can’t do both think there has to be consequences. Now I don’t think Lurie would fire Howie(though I think he should if he doesnt do the above) his seat should definitely be scorching out

Welp we went out of our way to sign Toth so if called on better be ready

"Howie is on the prowl already," one rival general manager said. "He's looking for action. If there is a trade to be made he'll do it. Bringing in a free agent from the outside is tougher now and more risky with COVID, and he loves to make trades anyway. I'll bet you anything he gets something done before the deadline."

Us being buyers at the trade deadline would be crazy.

This defense needs an overhaul. One guy isn't going to fix the problems.

I agree but not our call

I’m not hating on all year draft prep. But talking about positions of need is premature. Not too mention what part of thedraft we are in. What if we give up a high pick from next year to trade for a top LB before the deadline?  What if our second need we address in FA? Too many moving parts and variables. Draft prep? yes. Mock draft? Not so much. Heck just getting the overall ranking of a draft class is an always evolving process. How many people move on the board during the Combine? Get injured?

That was last season

IDK Ham,if we trade someone and get a pick, that is a future pick and doesn't fix the position needed NOW.if we trade player for player, that could be true, but the draft is the future not today, and even if you get someone you need to continue to draft. Why our LB's are not good, and I doubt any team would give up a decent LB unless we are doing a fire sale.Obviously they move up and down, but now you know who the players are and it becomes merely figuring out what round they go it,doesn't change the scouting, just the order

Think getting a good LB in the middle could sure up a ton on this D but it definitely needs to get younger as a whole.

If it's a young guy, someone we could sign to a longer term, who was WORTH the trade,I would be fine with that.

Inactives are out. No surprises, all the hurt guys and Sudfeld.

Interesting KC signed Bell.Wondering if they cut someone we could add there

Ravens without two starters on the dline. That should help us.

Also the first live "crowd" at the Linc.Maybe a LITTLE home field advantage

Would you trade Alshon for Williams now that KC signed Bell?(Darrell Williams)

at LSU 2018

Butler active today

Trade would benefit both A) KC doesn't need Alshon right off,but he could help the playoff run if someone goes down B) They don't really need Williams, but he would be a nice pairing with Sanders for us(and he gets to play) and we take money off the books C) If he works out we could probably avoid taking a RB in the draft to concentrate on other positions

He opted out of the 2020 season trading for him would be for next season. Also set to be a FA in 2021 not sure how that works with him opting out 2020 for COVID

Never mind did he come back????  moot point I guess didn’t even know you could come back after opting out for COVID

The choice is whether to build for now or the future. You build for now when you only need a few pieces. We have an expensive roster and a few of those contracts are either past their prime, not getting enough production for the expense or could return some decent picks. My vote would have to be trade for youth and picks, build for the future. Sure, we could win the NFCE, for what? We're simply not a SB contender, winning the NFCE only gets us worse draft position.
