think the Butler experiment has come to an end.

I doubt it but think of Ertz can’t go we could see more of Butler which could be a good thing never know

Sanders going down is huge can’t afford for him to be seriously hurt our ground game will have issues

Fulgham first WR in 16 years(TO) to have a Receiving TD in 3 straight games

I wouldn't mind seeing what Holyfield has if Miles can't go. I think Clement and Huntley are wastes of roster spaces right now, and if Holyfield shows anything, they can be cut.

Driscoll not getting an MRI is good news. Hopefully he can go this week and Pryor can replace Brown at guard, who can get cut ASAP (when Peters returns.)

As far as Butler, if he isn't ahead of a PS guy by now, why keep him? I like the idea of making him a TE, but we lost Toohill by keeping him on the roster, and as guys become eligible to come off IR, we are going to need space for them.

Ped-still awful at in game adjustments. We can't F around for an entire 1/2 to make adjustments.Playing 30 minutes won't cut it

I mean not like a Croom was some UDFA dude was  a semi starter for buffalo for what 2-3 years while Butler is trying to convert to a new position

As for Toohill thought he was out of place with us heard he had a good camp but didn’t show was clearly not ready for game action

WHY does this team only play 30??? It's an ongoing problem

Coaching is still the issue to me.

Croom scored a TD today didn't he?  That OL of rookies did an incredible jOb against another top ranked D . We need the young guys on the field . Singleton and Taylor were fast and physical . Watching Davion Taylar chase down and Smack Jackson gave me some pleasure watching him make a play because Lamar was running past everyone else.

I liked what I saw(the 2nd 1/2) Just wondering what our record would be if we played 60 minutes a game.Gerry needs to sell popcorn in the stands.I understand some days you are off,or have a slow start, but that shouldn't last 30 minutes. We played a great team today.Ped needs to make adjusts during the game, not wait until 1/2 time IMO

I re-watched the game paying attention to Mailata, and there is a lot to like there.

He had a few bad reps. On one, it looked like he picked up the wrong guy and let a free rusher go, though I think the protection called for him to do that. It will be interesting to see if they credit him with a sack allowed on the play. On another, he got beat off the edge but nothing came of it. He did have one potentially bad rep that he get knocked off balance by a bull rush, but it was a quick pass play, and he has a tendency to be able to reset his feet in those cases.

On the positive side, he is getting a lot better in the run game. There were a few times where he moved blockers five yards or more. Once they figure out how to use him in the running game, it's going to be unstoppable. And overall his pass protection was fine. I think it will take an elite pass rusher to beat him from now on.

Overall, on offense, once Peters can play RG and Lane comes back, I think this team will be a lot different, especially if they can add DJax, Reagor and Goedert as well. At that point, I see us potentially being really good.

On defense, I don't see a reason not to play Taylor, Bradley and Singleton more. They certainly don't look worse than Gerry right now, and they might make some of the plays he is missing. It was a frustrating day. They had some bounces not go their way on possible interceptions/fumbles, and we gave up some bad third down conversions. But we should have an easier time of it Thursday if we can get some more help on the injury front.

I think Wentz played a great game today. The first half he had NO TIME AND NOBODY OPEN! No threat of a rushing game and ALL backup linemen except for Kelce. That is tough sledding. Amazingly, it was Hurts that came in and softened up the defense to get things started. I wish Wentz had audibled out of the play call on the goal line, but that’s easy for me to say AFTER I got some help seeing man to man AND blitz called on the play. And I do believe the first half is much different IF Hightower catches the freaking ball.
Watch the game again now that you know the result. You can always watch it with less emotion that way. Wentz was getting killed and putting the ball on the money. WAY too many drops. Yes, he threw a bad pass behind Ertz. And a couple of poor throws under pressure and one where he "assumed” he was about to get hit. Remember what is in front of him AND who he is throwing to. Those receivers scare NO ONE! We are talking about THIRD string OLINEMEN coming in off the street. Absolutely crazy!

I was, well, upset Alshon didn't play. That would pretty much close any trade deal IMO.I like your analytics. So we overpaid JP to play OG,ok then.It was quite a mess for awhile.Hopefully we can iron these issues out some.

When i saw Croom had a TD my first reaction was who the hell is Croom

That's how bad its gotten.

What I learned Yesterday:

The Eagles are in the worst shape than any in football. How else do you explain all of these injuries? Are some players giving up? Only 2 starters that have not been out due to injury is Wentz and Kelce.

New England is not that good. Neither is Cleveland (However Cleveland is better than NE)

Tampa Bay has waltzed into the playoff picture. Thumping a good GB team is impressive. I wonder what Joemas thinks....

NFC West is by far the best division in football.

The Eagles have a 7% chance for the #1 pick in the draft. Currently in line for pick #5 which is one of the two best LB's.....

Oh and Fulgham is the real deal!  He deserves a regular spot in the line up when all are back healthy....

Here are the snap counts.

https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2020/10/19/21522801/eagles-vs-ravens-snap-counts-feed-travis-fulgham-philadelphia-jalen-hurts-zach-ertz-miles-sanders-rb

On offense, JJAW continues to get very few opportunities with Fulgham at the X. That shouldn't change much with players getting healthy at wr. Croom got one snap and had one catch for a TD. It is somewhat notable that the team only had four projected starters from the beginning of the year play, and two of them were out by the end of the game.

On defense, Bradley and Taylor got some snaps but didn't hit the stat sheet much. Robey-Coleman was on the field twice as much as LeBlanc and was a starter at outside corner over James. Hopefully Maddox is back soon, though he is probably not much of an upgrade.

All in all, we were competitive with backups against a healthy Super Bowl contender for the second week in a row. The difficulty for the coaches will now be deciding who should remain as backups. To me, Mailata and Fulgham are clear starters on offense regardless of who is healthy. If Miles is out, we have a decision at RB. If Ertz is out, we have one at TE. The right side of the oline is a mess, so hopefully we get some help there.

On defense, the back seven outside of Slay and McLeod is a sea of mediocrity. I would really like for someone to start stepping up and proving they belong to be a starter based on merit, and not because they happen to be there.

I will say the eagles surprised me with their effort yesterday!  Doug is simply becoming too predictable. Starting to remind me of McCarthy. No imagination. No pre-snap motion to help out this offense. With our line hurting so much we need to be more inventive on that side of the ball. What is up with Elliott? Is he that bad?

Wouldn’t get your hopes up for that with this terrible division even a losing record we could be a playoff team. Next 3 game stretch likely decides the East.

Think NY twice and Dallas win those 3 games probably cements us as the winners of the East

Fulgham should start scaring teams dude has killed it for 3 weeks now. Image what he will do when teams are worried about the speed on the outside Djax(said should play Thursday), Reagor etc.

I am giving up on Hightower at this point. 19 targets and 8 receptions for 107 yards and 0 TD's. Not sure about JJAW but it appears his days are numbered also. Only 4 targets in 5 games with 1 reception which I guess was a 2pt conversion?

Meanwhile, Fulgham has 18 receptions on 26 targets with 3 TD's and 284 yards. All in just three games. If you calculate this over the rest of the season, it translates to 78 receptions, 1230 yards and 13 TD's. That is dam good stats right there..... The dude fights for 50-50 balls and runs great routes. Granted we only have a 3 game window to look at, but it appears he is the real deal to me.

Not sure we win next three BG. Although Dallas is without Dak, they have a decent back up in Dalton. He may surprise allot of people with the weapons he has to work with. Plus Dallas will start running the ball more which is what they should have been doing from the start. Thinking if they had Dak does not get injured....

Fulgham is the best Eagles receiver on the field.

Admittedly that bar is set pretty low though.

I think Fulgham is going to be really good. The Ravens had their best corner on him and couldn't stop him.

Hightower gets open, and he gets open deep. Hopefully he develops a better feel for catching the ball. His drops are frustrating, but he can certainly get better. He will drop on the depth chart once DJax comes back, and hopefully he can be ready to play next season when we need him.

Ward and JJAW seem like perfect 4th and 5th receivers. Obviously we want more out of JJAW, but I think it's too early to give up on him. Ward is our security blanket. If Hightower struggles, he plays the slot and Reagor plays the Z. If Hightower starts playing well, Reagor can move to the slot. The one thing about JJAW is that he is making the most out of his snaps. He's had good plays the last two weeks.

No it was a deep pass vs the Steelers he did catch the two point pass from Wentz as well though but don’t usually go toward stats. Also had great blocks for Sanders long runs and heads up play to recover Sanders fumble vs the Ravens for a TD

Hightower he is a rookie he has flashed some and finally got a deep connection with Wentz might not be much this year but not going to give up on him

And the worst defense in football. That what has hindered Dallas not the O.
Also Dallas can’t run when the D isn’t stopping anyone and they are down playing catch-up all game

And even though we have been bad not winning we are a team that just dropped 29 and 28 points on a top 10 D and the best D in football in back to back weeks

I guess the question becomes if we can outscore Dallas. They do have a bad D but their offense is better than both Baltimore and Pittsburgh.

WAS better. We won't know what is now until they've played a few games.
