I guess the question becomes if we can outscore Dallas. They do have a bad D but their offense is better than both Baltimore and Pittsburgh.

Ravens and Pitt don’t have bad O either though really good and Dak was a major part of the Dallas O... Dalton might be fine and the O might still be good but will they be as good or fall off????

Next 3 games likely tells us who wins the East

Looking ahead to the fast=approaching Giants game, possibly the worst Thursday night game in history.

The Giants limped past the Redskins for their first win. But the team has been competitive all year. The downside is that with the exception of the Barkley injury, they have been pretty healthy. And their top five draft pick has been horrible at LT.

We have four opponents in common, the Redskins, Rams, 49ers and Steelers. They have played the Rams and Redskins better, the 49ers worse and the Steelers about even.

This is a key game for us. Get a win here and then we gain some momentum and some needed players back for the Cowboys. Then we have a bye week and a chance to enter the second half really healthy, with the added benefit of having developed some useful players on offense who have played well.

The gameplan is pretty simple. Pray that our bad oline handles their dline, and pray that our good dline dominates their bad oline. Hopefully we get Pryor back (words I never thought I would utter) and find someone able to play with him on the right side.

At the end of the Ravens game the only two healthy Offensive starters left from the beginning of the season were Wentz and Kelce. Everyone else was a backup and some were backups to the backups. The O-line was down to Toth at OT. If there is a year that this team has to endure only winning a few games, this is the year.

A lot of change is coming soon, so if a terrible season is required for them to effect that change in a positive way, then so be it. They're already 6 weeks in to this nightmare. Might as well see it through. Trade the Vets they can for draft picks to supplement what should be a good draft position anyway. If getting proper value for the Vets means trading for future picks in 2022 or 2023, then they should do it without reservation. They'll need those picks too when the time comes.

Wentz has been sacked an NFL high 25 times this season so far

FB_IMG_1603121547992.jpg

Some take aways from this point in the season.

Wentz is still a damn good QB most of his weapons injured and a makeshift OL that changes weekly and still kept us competitive vs two top defenses.

Travis Fulgham looking like a legit NFL WR, Hightower shows promise but isn’t ready to be a full time starter.

OL- Mailata looking legit, think Herbig is good, Driscoll seems alright as well but shouldn’t be a starter yet.... If the OL can get healthy and some type of stability might be fine. Mailata at LT Kelce at C Lane at RT will be key. Some trio of Herbig/Semaulo/JP starting at the G spots will be huge as well.

Richard Rodgers might be underrated don’t think he is a star or anything but decent TE perfectly fine as the backup makes some decent catches solid blocker. Ertz just looks finished not sure what is going on there.

Sweat seems like the lone youthful bright spot on our DL not great sign honestly especially for Schwartz. Malik has been great for us but is 30. Not sure what to make of Barnett haven’t noticed him much can’t say that is a great sign for our former 1st round pick.

DBs- Slay/McLeod are playing great. Not sure we have any other CBs worth much after Slay though. Wallace feel like will be fine just needs playing time and experience should improve.

Doug Pederson says Boston Scott and Corey Clement will be the Eagles’ RB by committee if Miles Sanders misses time. Mentions possibility of elevating Adrian Killins from the practice squad. Eagles also have Jason Huntley on the roster

I’d rather bring up Holyfield and give him a real look was easily our best RB in camp running and catching the ball

So take these numbers with a grain of salt, since PFF can be misleading, but here's how our linebackers are rated.

Shaun Bradley, 73.5. Alex Singleton, 66.8. TJ Edwards, 60.3. Duke Riley, 56. Davion Taylor, 52.7. Nate Gerry, 43.5.

Nate has obviously been given the most opportunities to fail, but collectively the guys who line up next to him are 20 points higher.

After this week, we have to bench Gerry. He's simply been killing us.

Doug Pederson says he is "optimistic” that DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery could play on Thursday night. Same for Lane Johnson. #Eagles

What I learned Yesterday:

The Eagles are in the worst shape than any in football. How else do you explain all of these injuries? Are some players giving up? Only 2 starters that have not been out due to injury is Wentz and Kelce.

New England is not that good. Neither is Cleveland (However Cleveland is better than NE)

Tampa Bay has waltzed into the playoff picture. Thumping a good GB team is impressive. I wonder what Joemas thinks....

NFC West is by far the best division in football.

The Eagles have a 7% chance for the #1 pick in the draft. Currently in line for pick #5 which is one of the two best LB's.....

Oh and Fulgham is the real deal!  He deserves a regular spot in the line up when all are back healthy....

IDK Stine buddy.maybe this is a sliver lining? These injuries are FORCING us to re-build an aging team (ok not aging we have some antiques taking snaps lol).I think we were kind of planning for a re-tool next year, but this really pushes the point by exposing how bad we are in some areas(which WE all knew).Fulgham was a pleasant surprise(hey even WE get lucky once in awhile lol).Agree he is a keeper. Now get Reagor in here,Ward(and we still would have Goodwin next year from the covid opt out).So to me adding ONE DECENTLY TALENTED WR in the draft(and maybe a few UDFA camp bodies with upside) would allow us to start rebuilding the basics we need to.The lines and LB's.We may be looking at replacing Kelce because he's been retiring for 3 years now.Mailata looks like he will be a probowler in time if he keeps improving or worst case he will be "solid".Now what to do with Dillard? Still would try him a LOG.If that works out that side of the ball is "done" just looking for BU's there now.doing that we would be left with many picks in the next draft for BU's on the right O line side, maybe snag a RB mid draft(or my Alshon for Williams trade deal). We really could use this draft to focus on defense.LB's (maybe 2 early?) Add to the DL/pass rush and I feel we could turn this ship around in 1 year.I was impressed with the 3rd and 4th 1/4 vs the Ravens.Wondering what it would be like if we "played 60" lol That was a GOOD team and we hung in there with them, but Ped HAS to make those adjustments IN GAME,not wait until 1/2 time.I think that is his worst fault as a coach

Getting Lane back would be huge. It would also be nice to get Pryor back. Brown shouldn't be on the team anymore. Opeta or Juriga can't be worse than him.

Jeffery playing would be a positive only from the standpoint that if he's healthy, we may be able to trade him. A contender might float us a late-round pick for him as he is a reliable receiver. And we don't need him with Fulgham playing so well.

I’d like to see Alshon in the slot he has taken reps there before. But definitely don’t want to take reps away from Fulgham

The goal might still be to trade Alshon but until he is traded he is still one of our 3 best WRs. Would want to find a way to get Alshon/Fulgham/Djax on the field at the same time.

Can still sprinkle Hightower with Djax think Hightower will do better with less reps

Ideally we would only have to do that for a week, and then we trade Alshon and replace him with a healthy Reagor.

I agree that Hightower is getting too many reps. At least he finally made a big catch.

Yeah I offered up the trade with KC for Williams(and my reasoning). He is a young RB we could use next year(covid opt out).Alshon could be a security blanket for them in their SB playoff run and they don't need him right away, and that way we could probably avoid taking a RB in the next draft allowing more picks on defense

A rook dropping balls is not unexpected. We did this with AG for a long time(too long). He will get more proficient. He is a suitable BU at this point

Might be the goal but like stated until it happens have to find ways to get them all on the field. Alshon might be out of favor but still probably best WR on the team when healthy

As for as Elijah Holyfield goes, doesn't he offer a different skill set than Scott, Huntley, and Killins, who appear to be essentially the same RB? #Eagles

My thoughts exactly

I’m told it would be better for Eagles to rest Lane Johnson’s ankle Thursday night and give it more time We don’t know yet if Jack Driscoll is available Thursday night and Brett Toth became 13th projected lineman this year
Zach Ertz is expected to be out for 3-4 weeks with ankle injury, according to Miles Sanders is expected to miss Thursday nights game, according to

Honestly want to see what the O does with Ertz out. Hate he got hurt I don’t ever wish injuries on players. But I have talked trading Ertz for weeks now and seeing what this O looks like without him(and without Geodart for now) will be interesting.

Going to guess ton of 11 personnel getting away from the 12. Rodgers will be the starter and think he will be fine still be a good reliable target for Wentz at the TE spot

For everyone whining about Wentz. He's been playing with a 2nd and 3rd string O line and backup WRs all year.

How good did Rodgers look last night after he lost just his LT?

Sanders expected to miss 1-2 weeks... Saying likely 2 weeks for Malik and Dricsoll

We have more players in the PUP tent than we do on the roster lol
