You might want to check again. He couldn’t have been trade then because the new league hadn’t begun yet. Not until March could he have been traded. You can’t even get that part right…of the terrible argument you are trying to carry on.

You can agree on trades prior to the league year starting.  As we knew the Wentz trade weeks before the league year started.

The book, you can't even get that right LOL

That would effect our second round pick we acquired from them obviously.

And the trade can be agreed upon before the league year starts....right?

Joe since you know contracts, which players can we trade for say  3rd/4th round draft picks in your view. I would like to add to the picks without trading back

When was Wentz a Colt after being traded? Last season…in March.

We;re going to need at least 1 DT,maybe 2,although I feel we draft 1 and get one in FA

Last year Brady and the Dolphins had a whole scheme cooked up to make him part owner to force a trade to make him their QB. Hire Sean Payton as coach. A bunch fell apart after they had all agree on doing that. It never even happened.

https://thelibertyline.com/2021/12/16/frank-gore-contract-with-the-eagles/  Gore backed out of the deal because we traded Foles, which had zero to do with the organizations. So that was in 2015 Is that all you got? 1 exception LOL. I'm sure the Eagles could have forced him to come here, but why would they???

I don't expect any player trades from us. It would have to be players we have under contract for 2023 and beyond.   So it doesn't make sense to trade a player and create another hole on the roster.  Could be Slay for salary purposes...but don't see it.   Could be anyone from 2020 draft..but don't see it.

You want extra picks,  99% going to have to come from trading our current picks... not players.

Schemes are legal? They have paperwork for those? In my day(when dinosaurs roamed the earth) verbal contracts were legal, not today

I was afraid you'd say that LOL. I think we could trade the 10 back, but not far. I believe we need an edge or DT early. I think those are the first 2 picks in any order, but we can't fall back too far. I can see trading back the 31 into round 2. That would avoid a 2nd round 1 pick 5 year option. Shouldn't be much difference in quality between 31 and 32-35, so maybe there is some room to play with there, should be interesting. 10 back to 12 maybe and 31 to early 2 would get us a few picks albeit late ones. Should be fun to watch Howie at work. I think Carolina moves up to grab either of the top 2 QB's

If a Carr trade is agreed upon now...which you say is 2022 season... he won't be a Saint until 2023.

So again... you bust GB balls on technicality of NOT saying our defense " at full strength "    then you have same technicality of having to say the Wentz trade was made " prior to 2021 season...or prior to last season"

I mean... next week it's 2 years.   Does Sunday's game make a difference for the Colts as far as # of seasons?  I mean...if this conversation was next Monday....does that change things for the Colts?

Or are you saying Feb 18 2021... it wouldn't be 2 seasons until March 2023?

I say it's 2 seasons because we are pre 2023... trade to Colts was pre 2021.  You now technicality BS of " you didn't say Dallas at full strength " works both ways.

I think very high possibility of trading our own 1st round pick, especially if we win Sunday and have the last pick.  We did that with Baltimore after winning SB.  That had value as they wanted the 5th year option for Lamar.   We could take advantage of a team thinking same way with a player this year.  ...lol, I said this year as in 2023 draft.

Anyway... I can absolutely see that as what will happen.

10 is a good spot for a team wanting QB3,I just don't want to fall so far back into a tier 2 pick when we can get a tier 1. IDK what their(Eagles board) tiers are, nor can I even guess. I will trust the FO because I have no choice anyhow. I will assume Carolina moves up for QB 1/2. They could probably get QB 3 without a move,so that's on them to decide. I'm pretty sold on Ika as a DT. With Davis that would truly be a brick wall. I will check to see any later edge guys. (just for my own knowledge)

Gore is great example of a guy who was thought to agree to a trade 2 days prior... then backed out.   That's a free agent deal like right before the next season were to start.    I would say it's different than a trade between 2 teams involving picks etc that was made a month prior.

I mean if Carr trade were to be agreed upon now... which season is it now?   If it's 2022 still...then Wentz was still 2020 if the 2021 season didn't start for another month.

Like I said, next Saturday is 2 calender years, is the season cutoff a Superbowl game that is played by two other teams?

I mean Dak scored 40 on some guy named Scott.... which has the same irrelevance to Sunday's game as a game between the Eagles and Chiefs on Sunday has to the Colts season being over.  The Colts are in 2023 mode, just like they were in 2021 mode when they made the Wentz trade in Feb 2021.  2 years ago.

I would assume first thing Eagles will try to look into is trading up from 10 for a target.  If it costs too much, then they wait.  In the meantime they weigh offers to trade back.  It will depend on what happens when pick 10 is on the clock.  Unless we get a Miami or Saints offer prior to draft again... in that case I could see trade back...then trade up on draft day, just. Like last 2 drafts.
