Gotta be considering trading for a RB. Not sure who are the possibilities out there. A short term option could be Frank Gore. No future with him. But he’d be a nice compliment potentially even when Sanders comes back. I’d like a better option than Gore but don’t want to pay a fortune. Trying to think of options from crappy teams that might sell.

I would not trade for a RB still to many unknowns want to see Holyfield first Killins could be a decent option still

I liked Michael Warren. Still could bring him back he’s on the Panthers PS. But everybody has their sleeper guys. Seems like we need a more legit option. A number two that can take over for a couple games while Sanders is out.

I’d draft a guy before i traded for someone for this season at least

Yeah I wanted Freeman, but apparently he wanted too much and just waited for a team in panic mode.Scott may surprise us....AGAIN!!!

I am in on that. I want to see Killins on the field as a RB not being used as a WR. Time to play these young guys more than one and done, gotta give them a real chance.

I like this kid Warren I would be open to him coming back and he won't be expensive don't want to spend money for a RB this year.

At this point we have nothing to lose by seeing if these guys can contribute.

Yeah, seems we bring people in,then make them do what they were NOT trained to do.Very stupid(Butler is a WR,Killins is a RB).If you want to dual train someone NP, but let them get the position they KNOW down first.Just because we can't keep players on the field is not the PLAYERS fault. If Butler can't cut it as a WR and Killins cant cut it as a RB,let them GO and find the players you need to.This is like asking a shot putter to be in the 4 x100 meter relay.Killins CAN catch,so why don't we use him like we used Sproles?

Hehe. My kids track coach in HS actually did something like this. He put a shot putter in the 2 mile relay.

He did pretty good for the first lap.

I don't mind a few guys that can do different things. If you are forced to use them, use them, but I would rather have specialists.I know the players want a paycheck and will do what you ask them to do,but really why have a guy thats mediocre at 2 positions?

Ertz new time table for injury is 4-6 weeks at this point no reason not to IR him

I don't mind trying Killins at WR or as a hybrid player. He can't play running back exclusively, but there are guys like him who can contribute as gadget guys. Especially since he's on the PS. Butler and Huntley seem like wasted roster spots right now on a team that doesn't have them to spare. If they can't contribute tonight, I don't see the point of keeping them. It's not like the Mailata situation where the athletic freak of nature aspect made the juice worth the squeeze.

It is somewhat odd that the practice squad call ups haven't been announced. I thought that would happen yesterday. Right now we have six guys on the roster who can't play. I guess the obvious move would be to IR Ertz and call up Pryor, which means that all 48 healthy players on the roster would dress.

Personally rather trade but 3 weeks out is the deadline pretty sure we can trade him while he is hurt(could be wrong) but if there is no intention to trade him and he is set to be out at least a month why not short term IR him and free up a spot for the 3 weeks he will be out at least.

Looking ahead to tonight.

The Giants have a decent defense and a really bad offense. So to win we have beat them up on offense and keep their defense from beating up our offense.

The key, as it is in almost every game, is the respective offensive lines versus the respective defensive lines.

Their line is bad, so we should dominate. Shut down their run game and force Jones to make plays. After facing a tough Ravens offense Sunday, this should be much easier. Slay on Slayton, Parks on Engram and make Jones run for his life.

When we have the ball, we need to give Wentz something he hasn't had this year - time. Pryor (if he is activated, if not whomever is at RG) needs to play better.  The Giants have a good front seven but certainly nothing like we've seen the last two weeks. Getting Desean back should help, as Hightower still needs some time to develop.

Some things I will be watching.

How does the LB situation sort itself out? Singleton, Riley and Bradley are all better than Gerry, will Schwartz finally bench him?

Who's who in the secondary? I think a combination of McLeod, Parks, Mills, Maddox and Slay give us our best players on the field. Schwartz seems to want to plug NRC in there. Who sits now that everyone is healthy?

Who steps up at running back? Is this the week we see more than one play from Huntley?

Who is the lead TE? Rodgers figures to get the start, but can he keep Croom off the field?

This is a must win game, but the Giants are a bad football team. They have a bad qb, a bad oline, their best player is hurt and their defense is filled with talented underachievers and untalented overachievers. Their coach made pro athletes run laps like they were high school kids. If we can't win this game, it's going to be a long winter until the draft.

Ertz has left OUR building he feels undervalued and understands that Howie has seriously underpaid him or where he sees himself compared to the other top three or four guys at his position. I just don't see the effort from Ertz anymore. Goddert will be back at some point. I am not sold on Rodgers... the young guys we brought in are ALWAYS...according to our coaches.... NOT ready to play ....UNLESS the starter goes down, and we don't have a choice but to put in the player. I will cite Mialata and Pryor players that languished on our bench and STILL would not be ready to play if all our old guys had not collapsed AGAIN with injury.

This trade deadline coming up I would try to move many of our OLD guys. Who is the top DT in next years draft. Fletcher is approaching that often injured every year tag., Ertz,  Graham, Jackson, Jeffery , JP, Pryor, Johnson... Time to get value while we can .

Not arguing. This FO has a record of doing dumb things though.

See jackson and Jeffery not going to IR

Does this not basically make it impossible to trade Ertz before the trade deadline? Presumably, he wouldn't pass a trade physical?

To be fair on Djax he had a hammy those are tricky injuries and pretty sure he could have came back last week. Now Alshon yea no clue what’s going on there

Eagles activate Matt Pryor from the reserve-COVID-19 list, placed Zach Ertz on injured reserve, signed Jamon Brown and elevated him and T.Y. McGill from practice squad to active roster

Well Ertz isn’t going anywhere this season

Bills cut Spain, thats an OG we could use RIGHT NOW

Sproles ran a few routes, thats how I would like to see Killins used.He is a RB who can catch, but denying him reps(even in practice) as a RB will hurt.Give this kid a hole and he is GONE.He ran a 4.27 at UCF(that's .02 faster than draft darling Ruggs lol)

My top ranked DL guy is Twyman from Pitt.Could go round 1 or 2. If we cant get Parsons in 1,then I look at Twyman. If we take Twyman in 1,then my target is Surratt at LB(NC).if we don't take either of those LB's we are dumber than 2 boxes of rocks

Fantasy.I drafted 7th in 1,8th in the other. One team is already the top ranked, the other is at #2 :)

If I understand right,if they are put on IR,they have to stay there for a set amount of time? That would be past the trade deadline??So,maybe not so dumb after all
