What’s the punishment for fans who wish to win a SB but don’t respect every position enough to bring in competition for a bad P?

Accuser should be arrested along with the cops that entrapped him

That was kind of my thought

Yeah....i mean field position was the reason KC was killing our defense the 2nd half.

If they started from downtown Phoenix,  the Eagles weren't going to stop them.

The game was tied afterwards... only reason they kicked a FG was due to the time.   Otherwise they would have thrown prior to the holding call and scored another TD.

The punt, the punt coverage,  Hurts fumble... none of that matters in a game that was flowing in a direction where KC didn't punt in the 2nd half.  We were up 10, we had to keep scoring with them at that point as their defense really didn't do anything to stop us all game either.    3rd and 2, restart the game at that point with different play calls and not punting... then my guess is we win.  Once we punted, we relinquished control of the lead and the clock.

Lol... man if it was a Wentz fumble we know what you would have been talking about the last 2 weeks

Because of the punt return leading to the quick TD…..the clock got against us

I’ve been laughing that Washington actually traded for him.

If Wentz won a playoff game…ever…I’d surely be talking about that.

You talked all year about how you just didn’t care about the P. It cost us a chance at the big trophy in the most important game.

Rumor is the Giants are thinking of paying Daniel Jones 45 mil per

And how did that work against us?  We went down to tie it too quickly.  KC milked the clock to score at the end... they had all their timeouts.   30 seconds and 3 timeouts would have been enough for them to kick a FG after we tied it.  We needed to score while our offense had the same advantage.

Siri great job all year, 2 things killed us in the 2nd half.  Calling timeout before the FG and 3rd and 2 with decision to punt.  Clean that up and we win.  Good learning experience... this is where Doug was great during games.

Rams released Bobby Wagner

You don't think a good punter could have made a difference?

You like to forget without Wentz in 2017 we likely wouldn't have even reached the SB

No...I don't think at that point we were stopping KC  at all.  At 3rd &2, we could have QB sneaked twice in a row to keep the ball.. you can't give away the ball at that point.   You gotta read the game.

Really it's why I don't even think Hurts fumble was a factor, we weren't going to stop KC there either... just gave us the ball right back and we scored.

Field was favored towards the offense...just like 5 years ago the holding wasn't called... the team who stayed aggressive offensively won both games.

If during a game each team's punter punts 1 time....do you really think the result of that one punt matters?

Each team's offense had 4 TDs...and 2 drives that resulted in a FG attempt.

Advantage us =  we made both FGs and converted a 2 point play.  Advantage 4 points.

Advantage them = free 7 points courtesy of Hurts fumble    Advantage 7 points.

Net Advantage = 3 for KC.

That's bigger than a punt.   Yet anyone watching the game knows the sequence between 3rd & 2 and snapping the ball to punt ... was the key turning point of the game.

It was also obvious KC settled for a FG because they were stalling.  If needed they would have scored 7.

Difference in the game

Difference in the game

Every bad play contributed to the loss. Every play in the SB has to be solid. Hurts fumble, the fact our D line could not get footing to get ot Mahomes (which was a big part of our defensive plan), the punt, the bad clock management which Siri was good at all year, failure to adjust, which Siri improved on all year, but got out coached in the 2nd 1/2. Then the bogus holding call when they basically let all of the same ones go all game. Players get a feel during game what they can get away with before being flagged. More non calls and bad calls that game yet the moron Goodell says this was the best year for refs?? Bad calls on both clubs,we just got the last bad call. Doesn't matter now,it's history. With all the coaching and players losses,I don't see a SB run next year, but we should be fairly solid still. Need to finish the re-build we started. Limited cap this time around won't help, but we can still sign key players for the future

Not even close...behind the QB fumble and free 7 points.  For sure.  Simply because nobody else had a chance to stop the free 7 points.  With the punt, you had bad coverage and still a chance for the D to stop or their offense to mess up after the return.

Yet I would still put both down the list... even below the flag at the end.  The decision to punt in the first place, and the play call on 3rd and 2 ...that whole sequence forfeited the ability to keep the lead.

Imagine if we had the same results with Wentz and Ray Guy.

Im curious to see who would say Ray Guy's punt itself was the difference over Wentz giving away 7 points.

This is where you bias and perception can screw with reality.   In no world where one single player on one single  play is completely 100% at fault for the opponent getting 7 points,  less responsible than a player whose teammates had ample opportunity to stop the 7 points on multiple plays.

The math just doesn't add up.   The bias is shown by never mentioning the fumble in 2 weeks.

The best thing we have going for us is the NFC wasn't good in 2022.  If that remains in 2023,we absolutely have a shot to make a run.

Has me thinking...  what if we add the 4th option in the passing game to our O.   We know the D is going to struggle anyway, but if we could add that stud to our offense.  Basically replacing Quez..  Jurgens for Seamulo. That's pretty good.  Should be much better O than this year.

Before you go too far with Hurts fumble….you gotta remember we were lined up for a sure fire Hurts sneak that Seumalo was called for a false start on.
