Curious because I don't know, why can't we lock guys into 5 year contracts like HC's?

So if Eric Bienemy gets a head coaching job next year... then Washington gets a comp pick in 2025 draft.   It would have been KC if he got hired now.

See how that works.    A team hiring a minority head coach or GM... actually gives the team they poached him from the comp pick.

The idea is if you hire a minority as a coordinator or in your front office,  that you think could get promoted by another team....then the league wants to reward you for putting them in the position to get the better job in the first place.   It's not simply hire a minority and get a comp pick.

You actually don't get one if the guy doesn't do his job good enough to be offered a promotion from another team.

So imagine if they waited until after the Superbowl to " start " interviews?   It's what I was trying to say when everyone was complaining our guys were being interviewed.   Better for us they got hired right away right..  otherwise our search for replacements would have started later.

I seem to remember a lot of hand wringing because we waited so long before theu hired Siri. That worked out pretty well.

Look back for the last 20 years and the Eagles have a history of hiring coaches with limited NFL experience. The only miss in that time was Kelly

It's ironic... everyone is using his concepts better than he ever did.

Wentz cut(no shock) Wuss released their slot CB also, saved 30 million with those 2 cuts

IDK HC is in place I would ask who he wants to work under him, shouldn't be too tough. HC is a bit more daunting than the other coaching positions

IDK guys,if I would trade back the 10 to 15,and pick up an extra 3rd,I would have to consider that Round 3 is still high enough to get a "contributor" is you choose wisely(pick 15 is Detroit)

Slay and others from the D say the DB coach should be promoted to DC

One of my round 7 picks. This kid can play as a slot WR or a TE. Love that versatility

So then the contracts are useless basically

You want to be the organization that prevents someone from being promoted?   How would that look for future hires?

LMAO yep, saw that

Elliott has been money. Punt team and returns have been bad.

So you think 10 is out of range for those top elite guys?

The QB rush will move them back. The PFF mock I just posted would be fine with me and as you can see at the bottom they left out some "top" names

PFF has Dullaz taking the top RB. Pay Pollard, let Zeke walk. I've only made a few mocks and had Paris as my 1 on the last one as well,so we agree there(me an PFF). Kancey's name being brought up alot now(30 pick). I need to do more research on him, but fine with the positional pick there

Don’t see those four making it to ten. So it comes down to CB.

I would be fine with Kancey at 30. He can play edge or DT. He's a little llight in weight, but we'd have a speed rusher along side Davis. suspect we could add some weight and muscle to Kancey also. I like this pick. PFF got this one right

4 QB's will go,other than Carter the others get pushed back. Envision it because it will happen. PFF doesn't even have Bresee in round 1 lol

LOL 4 QB's and 2-3 OT's will be popular on draft day, toss in a CB or 2 and the top S and those other guys fall out of the top 10

Anyway I am fine with the PFF picks of Paris and Kancey, they have us going WR in round 2,but my thoughts there are CB over WR. Kancey can start(or stay) at edge, maybe moved inside later or stay out as we see fit,but he is versatile enough. His speed outside would be excellent for us too

Updated mock   1-10 Paris Johnson-OT- OSU(can play OG for a bit if Lane stays before taking over- a nice twofer pick IMO)  1-30-I will go with PFF and take Kancey. We could use his speed either inside as a DT or as an edge (next to Davis either way).  2-62 I have to go CB here,so believe he is underrated so I will take DJ Turner the CB from Michigan. 3-94-I believe Ham mentioned him and I have warmed up to him. Tyjae Spears-RB-Tulane If I can get him at 3-94 I would take that. So there it is Paris,Kancey,Turner,Spears. Round 7-Elijah Higgins who can be a WR/TE much like Pitts, but nowhere the same caliber. I believe with some coaching he would be fine as a rotational slot/TE 2/3. IDK about the last 7 pick yet,but thats not real pressing. I could assume a round 7 QB to compete with Book for QB3,but think we get a FA QB2 cheap in FA as well
