Great... Lurie asks you if he should take the comp pick... what is your answer?

My answer has no bearing on the fact it's RACIST

How about letting people succeed on merit??????

Which they will because the other team has zero incentive to hire him as a head coach....you do see this right?   In fact they shouldn't want to give another team a draft pick....you see this part or just all panties in a bunch due to the word minority?

Why should anyone of any color get preference or the possibility of being "gifted a pick" over anyone else of any color?

Sure it does... like I said... change the rule back after we get our comp pick (if that were to happen)

Be a chump not to take it after getting your coordinator poached.

Right...this comp pick rule should be with every coach that gets poached.   Maybe this starts it to be that way.

You focus on the racist part, my focus is on my team. We just lost both coordinators and got squat!   I want the comp pick...I feel I'm owed.

Should never have been implemeted because it's racist to start with. We should get a comp pick because we got a male cheer leader. Why not??? How more racism do you want in this league?

Why I believe you should be able to contract your staff for more than a year and hold them to it like we do players

"We signed Gannon to a 3 year"(example) OK there it's done,no poaching for 3 years. At least that is not racist. if we want to fire him, then he's free, otherwise he is here for 3 years. If he only agrees to a 1 year and we sign him, then that's the risk we take, but there is no racism in doing this(same risk we take signing players to 1 years)

If in the above example Gannon(example) thinks he has HC aspirations or has been contacted, he can choose NOT to0 renew his contract. That would be his option to take or not. So,whatever, but there is no way you will convince me this is not racism as it stands now

Don't recall even watching a Seahawks game last yr, really know nothing about this guy except the Fangio connection. What do you guys think?

He is one of the final guys we are looking at. OH he's hired LOL. I figured he would be. I'm glad we did so we can have some order before the combine starts

Future comp pick LOL. If indeed he is hired,he has 1 whole day to give Howie/Siri the picks he wants the staff to check out at the combine

MONEY IN THE NEWS...

NOTABLE NFL RELEASES
The Falcons got a jumpstart on their expected big free agency, releasing QB Marcus Mariota. The move leaves behind $2.5M of dead cap, freeing up $12M for the upcoming offseason. Mariota earned $6.75M for his 1-year stint in Atlanta.

Washington announced a 3-pack of moves yesterday, first releasing QB Carson Wentz & CB Bobby McCain, then utilizing that new found ($28.4M) cap space to slap a franchise tag on DT Da'Ron Payne. Payne's tag comes at an $18.937M and will become fully guaranteed should he sign the offer. The Commanders have until July 15th to negotiate a long-term extension.

The Buccaneers are expected to release RB Leonard Fournette on March 15th, putting an end to his 3 year run in Tampa. Early reports seem to assume that a Post June 1st Designation will be used, leaving behind $3.5M of 2023 dead cap, and another $1.5M in 2024. $2M of Fournette's 2023 salary is fully guaranteed, meaning he'll be paid that on his way out.

WR Kenny Golladay will also see his contract terminated on March 15th, and he'll receive a $4.5M bonus for his troubles. The former #4 overall pick caught just 43 balls in 2 seasons with the Giants, despite earning $40.4M for his efforts. He'll leave behind $14.7M of dead cap, freeing up $6.7M of space for New York.

The Rams announced a shocker, stating their intent to part ways with LB Bobby Wagner once the league year begins. Wagner will be paid a $3.5M roster bonus on his way out, leaving behind $7.5M of dead cap, saving the Rams $5M.

Because you can't prevent guys from getting a promotion.  Do you really want to be that organization that does that?   You won't ever get the good candidates because they will go elsewhere where they have the opportunity to advance.

It's why Bienemy went to Washington.  You think it's because of better situation?    Come on now.  You can't limit people.  Look at it if the shoe was on the other foot and we needed to hire a head coach.

Showed a mock where they take the #1 RB in round 1. Pay Pollard, let Zeke go. With Pollard and the rook you still have a really nice tandem

This was in reference to Ham quoting me and basically saying that Elliot was the only bright spot on ST's.

Right here was the transcript:

Elliott has been money. Punt team and returns have been bad.

Right, so apparently Elliot doesn't need a coach.

He probably has his own personal coach

Why? Weren't you the one who was miffed because we didn't take Dax Hill last year???

I liked that whole group of S at that late first and early second last year. I don’t see any S being worthy of top ten this draft. No way!

You don't need to be smart when you make 26 million a  year. 1 year is more than I made my whole life

Tell that to every boxer that fought for Don King

Then why can you hire a head coach for 5 years? Should be able to contract OC and DC IMO. The lesser positions don't matter as much

So?   The idea is to choose the better coach so you can win.

I think you are still of the mindset that just hiring a minority coach gets you something?  It doesn't.   That coach has to earn a head coaching job elsewhere.   And in reality...the other team hiring him knows you will get a comp pick, gives them incentive not to hire him right?

Kind of seems like it assists more minority hiring of coordinators. Might be actually blocking HC hiring because of the pick going to the previous team. Doubt it effects it much. But could see it be discussed especially with divisional opponents and significant conference opponents. Most of the time a new HC hire comes with a crap team…so shouldn’t matter terribly to that team most of the time.
