I liked that whole group of S at that late first and early second last year. I don’t see any S being worthy of top ten this draft. No way!

I said if not they would be replaced by a CB so it's still a wash and there is no way to know if a team will reach for one depending who they lose in the offseason,so it's too early to say 1 won't go

Don't recall even watching a Seahawks game last yr, really know nothing about this guy except the Fangio connection. What do you guys think?

Seemed like he was in line pretty much the whole time. Minimal overall defensive scheme change I believe.

Are we going to start off the year with the Super Rematch?

I sure hope not.

So we are still out a LB coach

OH that's a tough schedule. at least the harder ones are at home for the most part

Most likely i'll be going to KC unless they hack up the ticket prices for that game.

When the Eagles won in 2017 they played Tennessee in 2018 and the tickets were almost double  normal. price

Lewan said the team dropped off some of his belongings in garbage bags.

Now there's a good way to enamor yourself to the team

Then why can you hire a head coach for 5 years? Should be able to contract OC and DC IMO. The lesser positions don't matter as much

Ok... so what is the promotion from head coach?     That is already the top job.    You follow?   It's different than the lower jobs.

Example...you sign the guy that cleans the toilets to a 5 year deal.   So he can't go work for another team as the head maintenance guy.    Doesn't seem right does it?

Again though, let's put all your changes into play.

1. No interviews until after the Superbowl

2.  Lock up coordinators for 5 years.

Ok... where do you think that puts teams as far as choices for getting new coaches and the time frame that gets it all done?

How many new coaches that were just hired were coordinators?  Imagine they were all off limits.   Now Imagine the interviews started 2 weeks ago for ALL the teams.

You don't see that being a problem?  Limit the choices, taking away the best coordinators.  Start the process late.  Then those new coaches have to hire...then the teams that lost position coaches have to hire.

You give everyone a 5 year lock where they can't get promoted... the league would be full of the same recycled coaches that got fired.  And all teams with changes would be way less prepared to start their offseason.  Leas prepared for Senior bowl and combine.

Throw in you don't want minority candidates hired... in your scenario Jason Garrett would be on his 5th head coaching job, because of the limited choices.  Who needs that.

Get these new guys in the league to keep things fresh.  The best 32 guys should be head coaches,  not restricted by their contract to stay as a lower level coach.

5 new coaches.... Ryan's and our 2 former coordinators are 3 of the 5.    The other two are previous head coaches....Payton and Reich.

It's not my opinion... it's fact.

Without allowing coordinators to take head coaching jobs unless they were a coordinator for 5 years... absolutely limits the choices...where the odds are we would see the same old recycled coaches.

How many coordinators remain in that same coordinator role for 5 years before moving on to be a head coach?

You have to understand the butterfly effect of locking in coordinators for 5 years.

There are 3 people considered a " coordinator " that have been in that position prior to 2019.

Pete Carmichael Jr...OC Saints

Bill Belicheck ... DC also head coach

Kyle Shanahan...OC also head coach.

So if we had to wait 5 years for coordinators to be head coaches...only one guy could get promoted next year.

In addition...only the Bengals coordinators have been there since 2019... 2 guys going into year 5.

Do we really want a league limiting their coaching choices that much...  former coaches or college coaches would be the choices.    Unless we want more of Jeff Saturday?

The natural progression is coordinator then head coach, the league is better that way.

And moving on (again),so you get 1 shot at a SB(and lose) before it all gets smashed because besides the lost players, you lose your coaching staff and now you start all over after finding a working combination this seems fair to you? So what is the point of "going all in"? Seems pointless then really.  But again you aren't going to change my opinion,so whatever. And BTW the hiring practice is still racist

Who said I'm not allowing them? What I said was they should have a contract. If they only want a 1 year FINE,if they want to sign for 3 that should be fine also. if we sign a 1 year, then thats the risk WE take. But if you choose a good one why should some other team reap that benefit after 1 year??? Go find your own guys. So what will happen is every team will be 1 year wonders because now you have to start over every damn year even if you keep the HC. It's my thought the OC and DC are nearrly as important and many times those guys call the plays,so that's my opinion and you have yours. I'm done with this

Again.... you aren't thinking of the consequences.  You are looking at it from one team's point of view.

Did you enjoy this year ...brought to you by former coordinator from the Colts Nick Sirianni, who wouldn't have been able to be hired as your head coach in 2021 because with the GB rules he needed to stay in Indy.   So then Arizona and Indy wouldn't have their coaches now either because Siri would have never got to hire them.

That's one example of how one hire can multiply.    If you look at the league...32 teams.. their were 3 coordinators ( 5 if you count head coaches Belicheck and Shanahan as their own coordinator) ....3 other guys who were there before 2020.

Simple fact, the league is built on promotion.  It's why we live in America not a communist country.

Teams actually ask for permission... it never gets denied because nobody wants the reputation for holding people back.   It's common sense.

It's amazing how all these issues that have been going on forever,  all of a sudden come up because it effects your team.  But the success of the league is more important than one team.
