Still think Fournette will want 4-5 mil. IDK that Howie pays that either. maybe if Howie explains he would be used less, but be in the RBBC on a contending team maybe he would play for less

Rather bring back Sanders than that. But don’t see either happening

Fournette is a wait and see.  Post draft and probably post June.   The $$$ comes down for him as time goes on.  That's why my philosophy is not to panic at RB.  Like I keep saying...2017 we came out of the draft with Sproles and Smallwood.    Right now we have Gainwell and Sermon.    Maybe we find our Clement UDFA or whoever else.

This is still a top OL.   Ham keeps pointing out QB1 is the best human on the planet... it should mean players would come here on a cheap prove it deal.

McCaffrey…Niners….NFC Championship game

Passing game... try again.

But ... I'll counter... SF OL and their receiving weapons.

Show me Chubb, Henry...etc.    the leading rushers.    Where do those " teams "  find themselves.

You can go back a couple decades.  I don't know why you are ignorant to what's right in front of you.  Arian Foster,  Adrian Pederson...etc.   look at all these guys..  the RB doesn't translate for the team success.

You have Kansas City and New England dominating over the last decade...especially offensively.  Which elite RB you see as the reason?

I think Sanders will be back as an Eagle.    Like 2025 or 2026 after he gets released from the team that overpays for him this year.   Be a nice rotational fit for cheap.

Pretty good start to the list of playmaking RB

Great list...again follow the conversation.   Take a look at that list and show me where that RB translated into team success.

Sanders was along for the ride...should have been obvious after 3 playoff games lighting up the scoreboard and he did squat.

Mixon... team did pretty well when he was out... again though QB and WRs are elite.   Barkley and Cook... one of those teams had to win... refresh my memory of the high scoring those teams did in the playoffs?

Kamara...catches a lot of balls...22 teams pick after the Saints.

Now...give me your top QBs, top OLs, top receiving groups.   How did that translate into team success.

I know your answer... you will ignore what I just said... you like to argue just to argue.  Buy the Eagles,  Chiefs, Bengals, Bills, 49ers and the second tier group.. didn't have their success because of RBs.   Their offenses had the other elements.

No rush, doesn't even need to be him,but someone similar, like we added Ajayi and Blount. Still not against drafting one also. 2 RB's on the cheap works fine

NFL Team Logo for Lions Detroit Lions: Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas Texas

It's hard to believe that the best player in this draft class could last until No. 18, but there aren't that many teams that need running backs, and the ones that do will be targeting quarterbacks.

Robinson is going to be another running back chosen early in the draft, much like Saquon Barkley, who went No. 2 overall. All of his attributes are at sky-high levels. Sources have told Charlie Campbell that Robinson is the best player in this class, so he's a potential top-six pick.      Here Ham,exactly what I was talking about. This is from Walter football. He is the BPA all the way to pick 18-Detroit(according to this),so he is the BPA and you choose not to take him in the first 17 picks. Doesn't  mean he is not the BPA-understand? And while he may go earlier or later,it's because teams don't need RB's. He is STILL the BPA(and he will be when we don't pick him too)

So, maybe Mayer had an "off day" It's possible and there was some possible performance pressure on him,but the stellar reviews did not come in. Just saying before I spend a top pick on a guy,I need certainty and he did not provide that. So possibly there is another TE we can take later that would accomplish the same thing??? Or maybe he shines at his pro day. Too soon to know, but like I said at pick 10 I want no guess work as to what I am getting. So many ways we could go there. Edge,DT,RT,CB,RB,S,TE,WR are all in play. For me this is very difficult to navigate and with only 4 picks I imagine it will be for the FO also. Maybe we do a 2-3 x trade back from 10 getting picks long the way. Still seeing 3)now 4 with the emergence of the FL QB who could go first actually) in the first 6-8 picks. Who we re-sign(or don't) has a bearing. I'm wondering if Howie makes a fast trade deal early in the week, which could be traded back farther. But it would be nice to have our board targets set if we aren't picking at 10

If you look at the draft class from Barkley's year.   He was considered BPA at 1 or 2 right?   Wasn't it Mayfield then Barkley at 1 and 2 that year?

How did that work out?   We look at it now, is Barkley really the 2nd best player for NFL level football in that draft?

People fall in love with RBs coming out of college.  Especially the ones with physical attributes.    Just doesn't translate to the NFL the same way.

Looking back at that Barkley draft.   I would imagine Josh Allen and Nelson end up going top 2 if it was redone.  Not sure how far Barkley and Mayfield would drop. Wouldn't be surprised if out of the top 10.

I'll wager a " board dollar" that we don't pick 10th or 30th.

Btw, everything I'm seeing says Mayer crushed the combine.   Interviews and the gauntlet drill they said he didn't drop a ball.

What was this " off day"    they said his size and speed are exact same as Hockenson....a 2 time pro bowler.

Just curious?  What was the poor performance you saw?

Some of these measurables we knew where he stands. He’s not like TE Pitts type.

I’m thinking it’s gotta be a CB or trade at 10. Rosie never had appreciated DBs. Let’s see if his supreme luck this past season didn’t show him that error in his ways.

No...  it's not really going out on a limb with the Eagles.   When was the last time they drafted in their own original slot?

Calling it would be something out of the ordinary.

Team needs the lines ... the Supreme DBs we had this year were great... but the lines are the foundation.   I'm ok with CB... if they trade down.    I still assume they take a lineman.  DL is just a skeleton right now.  No depth at all.
