First, how good or bad was the Jones signing by the G-Men?

I’m not super high on Danny Dimes. But even considering how it isn’t necessarily the worst move. Dabol can win with him.

I prefer rooting for a guy like Hurts. Been great! But not many elite athletes that have such strong character like him. He’s the exception for sure. Carter I’m not backing made the best decisions here. But I just don’t see why you totally condemning him for what happened. He just drive reckless with a buzz celebrating….in college. Seems like most everybody I’ve ever known been guilty of.

I mean you could be right could be pick 30 could be our 2nd rounder. But if you were at least considering making moves for a guy like Kamara or CMC spending any draft pick along with the contract they have definitely shows a team way more willing to invest in RBs then before. 
 

As it stands now we are a ground first team if spending a top 10 pick gets you a game changing RB that helps the focal point of your offense attack why wouldn’t you spend on it?

 

Now I don’t know if Robinson or another RB is that caliber or guy but again I could definitely see our FO putting a bigger priority on RB then we have in years past. 

Now leaving before he gets nailed for the DUI and/or worse…is understandable. Not right. But very easily understandable to me. He freaked out. But also there is just simple logic and smarts in that move. Tragic situation. But I don’t see how he caused any of it. Recruiting coach screwed up. Sad. Really sad….but I just don’t see much of what Carter did to cause any of this. Just way to harsh for you to damn him so heavily.

4 years 160m for Danny Dimes this is tough could be good for us since Jones hasn’t been the best. But if the Giants can get weapons around him with Dobal could be dangerous. Daquan got tagged as well. They also need to keep beefing up the OL.

The bad part is if Jones got 40m a year what is Hurts going to cost I have to image it’s 45-50m

I really think he might be seeing it now. Recent drafts the league has really gone hard at those top CB in the draft. So the value is there. Really hard to get one of those top two guys lately. Don’t expect we’ll get to pick this high again soon. So it’s either do it now…or pay for the FA

More concerned about our secondary coach losing Wilson was huge. Not opposed to the idea of a CB High though unlikely. Still believe as things stand right now our preference at 10 would be DL 

Think it was before Chip debacle where Rosie pretty much admitted he can’t pick S well. Hasn’t worked for him. Since then he hasn’t improved on DBs at all. So he’s understandably gunshy. So you either figure it out and change it by finally hitting on a DB. At 10 odds much more favorable. Or you just deal with reality of strengths and weaknesses. If he just can’t judge a DB well….then don’t do it. But it’s draft seems setup so a CB is the BPA answer and logical team fit. So if he doesn’t take a CB at 10 without trading out if the pick that is, then he just gave up on succeeding at it.

You’re all over the place with bringing him into it now. I don’t see what Kaep did so horrible and damning either. He actually showed very strong character. Stood up for what he believed. Did so with it costing him dearly. I understand you’ve hated Kaep and all that. But guy showed strong intestinal fortitude and character. Stood by his beliefs even if it wasn’t easy.

Gotta believe it gets scarier to consider every day that passes. Ravens are completely behind trying to keep Lamar. But doesn’t appear they can. Lamar is correct financially in this also. NFLPA is trying to force the Deshaun Watson guaranteed contract era.

Completely guaranteed contracts will hurt the NFL.

We got so lucky on our timing. Wentz wouldn’t have taken us down for so long.

Like I explained. I thought there was a bunch involved with the McCaffrey situation. If he maxed at a third for him you could see that as a cap at the position. I absolutely agree with the idea of going strong at RB. I want two quality guys. Really hammer people. Use our strength at run blocking Oline to annihilate opponents. Having two also makes it a realizable gameplan for the season. One goes down you still do it. But having two you relentlessly punish.

But at 10? Nah. I’m not liking that at all. 

Just don’t plan on getting that high of pick again for awhile. So gotta use it elsewhere. Believe RBs are unlocked and found later all the time.

Always FA options at RB too.

Always trade options at RB at the deadline also.
